Chapter 10: Shadow Shards
Jason went to his apartment and looked over the loot he had gotten from the three monsters. He got some hide and claws from the two Sword Levels Monster and got a Skill book and a couple of Shadow Shards from the Spear Level. The skill book was called [Water Fist] which Jason assumed was what the scorpion had done when it wrapped its tail in the element it was attuned to. The Shadow shard excited Jason far more as he wasn't a water type Elementalist so the book was useless to him, he would either sell it or give it to Sky. The Shadow Shard, however, were usable by any awakened one. They were only dropped from Spear and War Axe monster but even then it was extremely rare for them to drop them. Over the past ten years, Jason had collected 98 of them due to him going out and hunting at night. At this point in time, no one had collected 100 Soul Shard so it was unknown what would happen if all 100 were collected. Jason decided to check his status before absorbing all the two Shadow Shards.

Due to continuously sneaking around in the shadows you now can melt into the shadow making you impossible to be detected.
Passive: Dual Dagger Mastery-Grandmaster(MAX)
Due to constant use of dual dagger, they have become an extension of your body 100% more damage done/ high chance of disabling enemy when striking limbs.
Active:Shadow Slash-Master(48.6%) MP Use:60
Due to the continuous severing of limbs and affinity toward darkness a sharp blade of darkness sent out of users blade has a 70% chance of dismembering the are which is hit.
Active:Shadow Stab-Intermediate(79%) MP Use:90
It causes the shadows around a target to solidify and stab them, a 30% chance to ensure opponent.

Jason looked at his stats think back to when the cracks first appeared and how different both his stats and he was, and how much he messed up since then. Shaking those thoughts from his head Jason grabbed both Shadow Shards. They looked like pieces of obsidian. Jason looked at the two in his hand and a window popped up saying [Do you wish to absorb Shadow Shards] (Y/N) "Yes" Jason thought. The two shards in his hand turned to a black light and flew into his chest. (Congratulations you are the first Being of your species to absorb 100 Shadow Shards)

Before Jason could even think of what to do a swirling black vortex sucked him up and he was transported to a dark room. Sitting in a chair was a woman. She had jet black hair and wore a low-cut maroon dress.
"Welcome back child it has been some time since we last met". The woman said.
Jason was confused but still managed to ask "I'm sorry to have we met before?"
He felt like he should know who she is but couldn't quite remember where he had met the woman.
"Yes child we have but for now we have important business to discuss. As I am sure you have noticed the Cracks are becoming more and more frequent. Now that you have collected all 100 SS your world will face a much more dangerous threat."

S_D_Long If you're a curious how I came up with Jasons current stats it is simple for STR, DEF, and MP I did the base stat multipled by the level(10x52) INT and AGI is (10x.5x52)
