Chapter 23: Lost
"But how are you still alive?" Rigel couldn't help but question the knight. Before anyone word could be said a nervous panicked maid ran over as if she had been chased by demons.
"Your majesties!" Turning both princes frowned recognizing the young girl Celesti's personal head maid. Dressed in a long maid's dress with the blue rose design embedded above her heart. The symbol of the princess. Long straight black hair that stood out against her fair skin and calm gold eyes.
"What is it?"
"The princess has vanished."
"What!?" Rigel clenched his hands in a rage and panic. Instead of flinching in fright the maid's face remained calm and expressionless.
"We only left to get the sleeping herbs but when we came back she was gone."
The maid said bowing her head to the raging prince.Something in the young girl's words caused a spark Juvel's interest.
"Forgive us. It seems we'll have to leave this for another day." Sirius spoke out to Juvel. Nodding his head understanding he watched the two brothers rush back into the palace to find the missing princess. Watching them disappear he turned to the maid turning to leave as well.
"You there. Tell me, why were you getting sleeping herbs for the princess. Why not one of the holy priests." Juvel questioned the maid who only turned her head slightly in his direction.
"The princess is the holy priestess and saint of Celestia. She was blessed by our guardian,the silver doe's daughter. Because of that she can not take on the help of the church's holy priests. It wouldn't help."
The young maid spoke out proudly of the first princess letting out a frown feeling a sense of pity for the princess as well.
"The princess and the two princes. There's stories saying that they were taken away by silver doe as children. Does anyone in the kingdom know what happened to them at that time?"
Upon hearing his question the maid's eyes narrowed at him.
"That is none of your concern. Now if you excuse me." she glared bowing slightly before scurrying off leaving the knight chuckling behind.
"How interesting." He grinned rubbing his chin before one of his soldiers hurried over.
"Sir, the emperor would like to speak to you."
His eyes still lingered in the direction the royal siblings had hurried in before turning away.
"Right, let's go."
The sound of droplets echoed in the quietness of her mind. Her body floating in the cold sensation of the water. Calming the burning as she was lured into a deep peaceful before she felt a voice call out to her. Pulling her in closer. It felt as if her body was pulled into a different space.
"Celesti..."
"Celesti..."
"Come here,child."
Tiredly she opened her eyes finding herself floating in the air above the water. A forest surrounding the small clearing she stood on. The trees all white bark with clear ice leaves. the ground replaced with sparkling jewel like water. She could see the sea creatures swimming in the water below her.
Looking up her eyes widen she she caught sight of the familiar figure making its way over to her in the distance.
A beauty she still was. Its fresh snow like fur looked as if it was glowing, clear silver eyes stood out against its fur. As a pair of almost ice like antlers stood beautifully on the top of its head.
