Chapter 196: Test (405 words)
In an unknown world, in an unknown place a soul with messed up memories where the only clear things are its name and its innate ability, stirrers out of its slumber.
'Fey…' Thinking of this name that stood out clearly from the mess, which was her memory, the soul contemplates for a while.
She also went through the memories of her ability and also attempted to make sense of the rest that lingered in her mind but failed terribly on the last point.
After understanding the nature and capabilities of her innate ability she tried to use it to unravel the mess again but this time with great success.
Following the direction that her ability showed her, Fey rapidly starts to sort out her mind and soon was presented with an orderly memory of a twenty-five year long life of a normal human being that lived in the twenty first century.
While looking through the memories which were supposedly her own, Fey couldn't help but feel detached.
The life she was witnessing was seemingly that of someone else. She couldn't even understand how the current her and the her from this memory were connected or related at all, that is till she reached the end of the memories.
Witnessing the sight of a white void with only a single blue point that at the same time seemed to be a tube that stretched into the distance but also a sphere floating in the air, Fey instinctively tensed up.
Even though it was but a memory, for some odd reason the moment she laid eyes upon the strange blue dot, tube, sphere thingy, she felt as if someone, or something noticed her and shifted its attention on her.
After a short moment of hesitation she came to the conclusion that the thing that was now watching her must be the blue thing from her memories.
Like the her in the memories she now, after having gone through all of them, too was aware of the concept of gods, eldritch beings and other cosmic beings, so she didn't find it hard to place this blue dot thing in a similar category as them.
If she was right then that would explain the thing watching her, after all the feeling appeared only after she saw the blue thing, probably allowing "IT" to also see her.
Taking an imaginary deep breath, Fey decides to continue going through her memories.
