Chapter 142: Psychic Hermoine (1149 words)

Somewhere on the outskirt of London in the year 1991, an eleven-year-old girl with bushy brown hair and brown eyes with slightly to large front teeth suddenly shot up form her bed with her eyes wide open.

'Did I just transmigrate into the body of Hermione Granger?' The girl muttered silently under her accelerating breath.

'No, that isn't all.' Frowning in concentration as she slowly sorted through her memories that were in a terrible chaos right now, the brown haired girl's expression soon turned into one of absolute shock only to once again change to one of complete euphoria.

'JACKPOT!!' She screamed in her head while holding her mouth shut to suppress the insane giggle that threatened to escape her lips.

After a short while calming down the girl's eyes focus on a book in a bookshelf on the other side of her room.

Not even a second later a book about history started to glow in a bluish light as it starts to float out of the bookshelf into the hand of the girl who now had a mad grin splitting her normally innocent face.

'Not only have I transmigrated into the body of an extremely talented witch with a brilliant mind, but I also gained the memories and powers of a being that could probably contest with gods, Shigeo Kageyama, better known as Mod.' Closing her eyes and sitting on top of her bed in a typical mediation pose, the girl focused completely on herself and her mind.

'I need to stabilize myself first, fusing with another soul and having the memories of three different lives is not something that should be left unattended for too long. Luckily Mob's soul and Will didn't come together with his memories and powers or else this would be a losing game for me. As for the soul and will of a mere eleven-year-old brat, it will hardly be a problem if I first concentrate on fully merging with Mob and his powers, after all Psychic powers are the absolute nightmare to anything soul, spirit or mind related if used correctly.' For the next couple of hours the girls expression kept changing between a mad grin and a completely blank one.

As the hours pass by the amount and duration of the blank expression appearing on her face steadily decreased till finally only a mad grin split the young girls face.

'Hehehe, now to you little one.' Another hour passes in which the mad grin occasionally got replaced by panic and fear that then got washed away by a grin.

One hour before it was time for breakfast the assimilation ended and what remained was a girl with bushy brown hair, brown eyes and slightly to large front teeth silently smiling at the roof of her room while lying in her bed.

'Sweet, sweet second chance. I'm going to become the greatest witch ever and the richest too. From today on I take up the name of Hermione Granger till I can discard this identity and take up a better sounding one.' The girl now calling herself Hermione giggled darkly.

'Yeah, maybe I can take on a new name if I go and become the next dark lord like Riddle did.' With that she closed her eyes and slept till afternoon as her parent left her alone when they saw all the books laying on her bed and interpreted as their daughter having been up all night to read books.

With the memories of the original Hermione at hand and her prodigious intellect added to her own together with Mob's psychic powers, the new Hermione easily adapted into her new life and spent the remaining weeks before she got the letter of her admittance to Hogwarts the school for wizardry

and magic with training her psychic powers to shield her mind by imitating the effect of Occlumency and Legilimency.

Soon after the letter arrived, she found herself together with her parents in front of the leaky cauldron, the entrance to the Diagon ally.

'I should hold off on trying to use my telepathy on random wizards, its to risky to be found out if I accidentally intrude upon someone who mastered or dawdled in the art of mind magic and calls me out on it.

For now, I limit myself to empathy to familiarize myself with reading peoples emotions before advancing to full blown mind reading.' Hermione though to herself while she and her parent made their way into the Diagon alley with the help of the bartender because they lack a wand to open the entrance themselves.

After a quick stop at Gringotts bank they went off to the many strange and magic filled shops and stores located in the Diagon alley.

Hermione stared a whole lot in wonder at the sight of all the new and strange stuff going on in the wizarding world.

Experiencing it for real was completely different than reading about it or seeing it in a movie.

'Soon, soon I will be able to all that crazy stuff and more.' With a burning desire to learn, Hermione followed her parent's around till they bought everything they needed for her first year in Hogwarts.

When they went to Olivadnder to get her a wand nothing outrageous happened, no great special effects appeared nor did she go through the entire stock of the legendary wand maker, instead she nailed her wand on the first try which surprisingly turned out to be the same as the original, 10¾ inches long vine wood wand with dragon heartstring core.

After recalling the wand lore and about the wand that she at some point in life read in the wiki of her previous life Hermione came to the conclusion that even though she now was a completely different person than the original Hermione, she still fit the requirements of the wand.

With her wand, books, cauldron and many other school supplies, the family Granger went back home where she immediately threw herself into the books and read through them much like the original Hermione would have.

Time quickly passed and the day of departure came.

Standing on the giant King's Cross Station in London on the first of September thirty minutes before the train to Hogwarts would leave the train station, Hermione Granger with a cart and a trunk filled with all her school supplies and other necessities guided her parents to the Platform 9¾.

When asked about it she told them that she read about it in one of the books they bought previously in Diagon alley which wasn't even a lie.

Once through the barrier separating the magical world form the muggles, Hermione said her goodbye to her parent's and loaded her heavy trunk into the crimson red locomotive "Hogwarts Express" with a bit of help form her telekinesis to carry the trunk.
