Chapter 94: Hive Queen/ Egg (510 words)
"What in the name of god is that?" A man in full body armor asks his companions which are also starring at the horrific scene which appears in front of them.
The group of ten people is standing on top of a cliff, overlooking a big valley beneath them.
This valley was popular gathering point for adventures that travel between the country of Fela and Demtre as it lies in the middle of the giant mountain range which separates these two countries.
This means that at all time there will be dozens of high ranking adventures resting in the city which was built inside this valley, but now there
´It is warm…´ I think as a take in the feeling of the liquid around me.
I don't know where I am nor what was happening, but I don't care at the moment.
The warm liquid envelopes me form head to toe giving me the illusion of being hugged by my mother.
I don't remember who my mother is or if I even have one, but nothing really matters right now, I just continue floating inside the warm liquid for a while longer.
A heavy blanket of tiredness covers my thoughts and I soon drive of into a dreamless slumber once more.
When I regain consciousness again, I immediately notice how the liquid seems to have lost a considerable amount of warmth.
It was still comfortable, but it does no longer give me the feeling of being hugged.
´I seem to have slept for a long time. ´ Without the same warmth as before I find it hard to fall asleep again and instead start to think about what is going on.
´The last thing I remember before I awoke here is some kind of bright light coming from the sky.
It was mesmerizing beautiful but also so alien as it can be. ´I muse a bit longer till I finally got a blurry picture of my current situation.
´Seems like I died or was abducted by some aliens and now I'm in some kind of egg. Why am I so calm about this? I'm pretty sure normally I would flip out if I found myself in such a situation. Maybe it has something to do whit what I am now, I highly doubt that I'm still human. ´
While thinking I subtly move parts of my body which is currently in fetal position.
´I still got two arms and two legs, hmm, head and neck are also present, hee? A tail? A very long tail, if I have to guess it should be at least four meters long. ´Surprised at the existence of a new appendage which makes up for two thirds of my whole body I fall silent for a while.
´Well this isn't too bad I guess. Hope fully I will be able to move it around freely and wont get restricted by it. ´While worrying about how to move around with such a long tail I suddenly notice how all the remaining warmth disappears from the liquid around me.
