Chapter 55: Voice (355 Words)
[What are you, little one?] A strange voice asks the woman that sits on the ground in front of it.
[I have seen many different beings, be they mortals or gods, but none of them is like you.] The voice changes between male, female, monstrous and completely emotionless, but its curiosity was clear.
Formless ripples sweep through the cave in which the voice and the woman are.
A mat glowing circle with lots of mystic and magical runes and signs shimmers on the ground.
The walls are rough and natural, a single path leads out of the cave, it seems as if the cave was left untouched by humans except for the magic circle.
[What is it little one? Why don't you answer me?] The voice rings through the cave finally freeing the woman from her trance.
With hasty movements the woman stands up and brushes her raven black hair out of her face.
Ocean blue eyes that seem to glow in the darkness of the cave carefully look at the middle of the magic circle.
Her lips are pressed into a thine line as she tries to calm down her racing mind, she did achieve what she wanted, but for some reason her mouth just won't open.
[Are you scared little one?] The strange voice once again resounds through the cave.
The woman balls her hands in to fists and clenches them so hard that her knuckles turn white.
Closing her eyes for a moment she took a deep stuttering breath before she final spoke.
"I am Felina Dawn, a human…are you the one they call "The Wanderer"?" Her voice was gently, and one could clearly hear the underlying fear within.
A short silence ensued the cave causing the woman, Felina, to nervously clench and unclench her hands.
[Felina Dawn, Human. I presume that the first one is your name while later your race. As or your question about my identity, I do not know if I am who the call the wanderer, as I have never interacted with the beings of this realm, but it is possible.] The voice spoke.
Felina calms down
