Chapter 47: Cultivation (683 Words)
„Good morning my Lord, have you slept well?" A servant clothed in dark grey cultivation robes asks me the moment I awoke.
I glance at him, before performing a short scan on my body.
´This isn't my body, and there are memories in my head that don't belong to me. Did I transmigrate or something? ´ I think while slowly standing up from my bed.
I focus on the face of the servant and recognize him as Do Che, a senior servant who has served me for a good seven years.
"Yes, I slept good. Do Che go out and bring me something to drink, oh also inform everyone of importance that I will remain in my room for today." I say with a clam tone.
"As you wish my Lord, I will be back in but a minute with some tea." With these words he closes the door.
I size up my room with a calm look, there were numerous luxurious furniture and precious objects all around the room.
With a sight I close my eyes and start to seriously go through the memories to gain an understanding of my current situation.
A minute later, Do Che retuned with pot with tea and cups. After putting them on the table, he left and closed the door.
´From the looks of it I have become the oldest son of the previous Lord which has passed away a year before. As the oldest of his children I have succeeded him and took on the position as the Lord of the Shadow Blade Clan, which possesses a seat in the council of the Heavenly Blade Sect. The Heavenly Blade Sect is one of the ten top Sects on the continent and lead by Zhuo Qen the Sect Leader. On his side are the Seven Lords forming the council which makes the decisions of the Sect. As one of these seven Lords I Ley Nim have great privileges and lots of freedom in my doings as long as they don't harm the Sect or my Clan. ´ I summarize my current knowledge of this world.
´I really don't like my current name; it sounds to unfamiliar and strange for my taste. ´ I mutter before deciding to change my name to something more familiar.
With my identity sorted out I move on to my power, or cultivation.
´I don't like it. ´ After a short glance at the information on cultivation and its techniques I felt a strange form of repulsiveness that is hard to explain.
´It shouldn't be to much of a problem I chose a different power system, right? ´ I think as I start to extract every bit of Qi from my body.
As a Dao palace cultivator who has already manifested his Dao in the form of a palace, the action of expelling all Qi from my body has fatal consequences. I feel how my meridian's shatter and my circulation system rips apart, the Dao palace starts to crack and slowly breaks down.
Normally this means that I'm completely crippled and would never be able to cultivate again, but in my case, it didn't matter as I'm planning to change my body anyways.
After two hours of extracting my Qi I finally managed to expel all the energy from my body.
In front of me a blue ball of energy floats silently, the first step is now completed.
Next, I reach out with my consciousness and start to refine the energy into a vessel for my soul, I have to do it fast as the extraction has heavily damaged my physical body.
The process take thirty minutes and is just in time, with great familiarity I perform the soul travel technique and possess the energy construct, leaving my body crippled and dead.
´This is so much better.´ I sigh as manipulate my new body to take on the form of the man who is laying dead on the bed.
Returning to my familiar state, I flick my waist at the corpse and a whisp of blue energy reduces it to dust which got absorbed by the energy.
