Chapter 17 — Knight Vs Alien II.
⟨ I understand, Host. I wish you luck. ⟩
Jason simply nodded. He pushed the control joysticks forward and returned to to face Onizume once again.
As soon as Jason came back, Onizume's gigantic mouth opened widely, accumulating a vast amount of crimson Higgs Particle.
Jason wasn't surprised and just clicked his tongue.
I just came back and you immediately attack?
How rude!
The Guardian Knight raised its Kabizashi with the intention of teaching Onizume about its own impertinence. Soon, it threw the Kabizashi forward.
—Sonic Spear!
The Kabi Spear flew sharply through the space, its speed was great after being thrown by the immense strength brought by the Guardian Knight's Silver Thread Tissue.
Swooosh!
Bang!
The Kabi Spear entered Onizume's gigantic mouth, causing a strange reaction to occur within it. Onizume's throat and mouth began to quickly swell largely before exploding into large pieces along with dense smokes that covered its whole body after the explosion.
The Guardian Knight entered the dense smokes, trying to locate Onizume, but a huge hand swept down over it.
The main thruster and leg thrusters aimed forward as the Guardian Knight quickly retreated back.
The dense and large smokes faded, Jason finally saw Onizume's gigantic head which was deformed and damaged severely after being blown into pieces from its own accumulating attack.
However, Jason couldn't find the core over the head no matter where he looked.
Was it located on the chest or somewhere else?
The position of the True Body varied, therefore making it difficult to fine.
Jason shook his head and went to pick up the Kabizashi floating aimlessly on space after the explosion.
Onizume saw the severe damages it suffered on the head and realized it wouldn't regenerate quickly. It then decided to just compress its gigantic body into something that was like its normal form. The massive volume from its gigantic body would be enough to replace the broken part.
The pinkish body grew smaller and smaller until it looked the same as its normal form but still with three eyes. A long and sharp crimson blade was formed and held by Onizume's slender hands.
The Guardian Knight appeared before Onizume, the Kabizashi piercing toward its chest, but the spear was quickly blocked by the blade.
Onizume continued to swing the crimson blade without ever stopping. Its every slash were precise and fast, causing the Guardian Knight that blocked the blade to constantly shake and creak, but Higgs Particle immediately infused into the Silver Thread Tissue, reinforcing the Guardian Knight's physical capabilities further.
The Guardian Knight used its wide shield and long spear to clash with Onizume's large crimson sword.
And no longer was this an ordinary battle, but something that exceeded it just by the sheer intensity.
The two red and blue giants moved extremely fast everywhere on the space, constantly disappearing and reappearing away from the naked eyes, with their weapons always clashing each time.
From waves of small crimson blades to a rain of energy bullets and lasers. From the single large crimson blades to a shield and spear.
Many chipped marks appeared on the body of the Guardian Knight, but it was the same case with Onizume, its placenta armour riddled with cracks and holes as its thick veins bulged outward intensely and disgustingly..
Jason was breathing heavily with sweats trickling down his forehead, but he smiled wildly for getting the chance to experience such an intense battle.
Every exchange, he could feel his skills advancing quickly, allowing him to finally use the Guardian Knight's to its full potential.
Jason felt high and very sensitive to everything.
His surroundings grew more slower and slower, the Guardian Knight's movement becoming more sharper and faster, slowly forcing Onizume into a tight spot.
Onizume realized this problem, quickly releasing a strange signal before immediately flying back while releasing several hundreds of small sharp blades from its body. This was the last of its placenta volume.
All those small blades flew toward Jason's Guardian Knight from all kinds of direction and even had the ability to move on its own.
The Guardian Knight flew very high on the space while destroying the placenta blades falling above. The placenta blades from below were following behind it.
After flying very high, now above all the placenta blades, the Guardian Knight stopped as the gems on its forehead and two shoulders began to accumulate brilliant light.
[ Higgs Particle Canon and Lasers power output limit disabled. ]
[ Power output increasing by 50%... 100%... 150%... 200%! ]
The computer program system reported to the hologram monitors.
Jason then pressed a button, a huge and intense amount of blue beam being released from the Guardian Knight. It swept all over the the placenta blades coming from below, completely destroying it all.
Onizume was stunned, but continued fleeing using its full speed after realising it still couldn't beat Jason. It feared death, and thought of returning back after growing more powerful.
"Do you think you can come and go as you please?" Jason frowned after seeing Onizume retreating away. "Time to end this!" The Guardian Knight raised the Kabizashi once again but a dense amount of crimson lightning was now covering it after Jason sacrificed a week worth of energy.
It wasn't Mechanical Parasitism, but him only using Mr. Alien's unknown crimson lightning.
"You won't escape again!" Jason roared as the Guardian Knight's arm swelled largely after the Silver Thread Tissue was infused with a large amount of Higgs Particles.
It then threw the spear powerful, immediately vanishing from the sight, only leaving a faint crimson trail.
The Kabi Spear flickered through the void of space, quickly nearing Onizume and impaling its chest, even managing to went through it, leaving a large hole, as its limbs and thrusters were destroyed by the crimson lightning.
Onizume's speed slowed down before eventually coming into a halt.
Jason thought he managed to destroy its core now, but was stunned to see it wasn't still shattered.
A tiny shining crimson core was now floating on the hole on Onizume's chest. It was shining with a brilliant resplendent light that made it seemed like a crystal gem.
Was this beautiful thing still the Gauna's True Body?
Jason was captivated by the beauty of it.
"Pilot Jason, Immediately go and destroy Onizume's True Body," Seii said through the video system.
"Roger!"
Jason replied, but then heard Mr. Alien's words
⟨ Host, I recommend you to immediately absorb the Gauna's core. ⟩
"I know, but do I have to absorb it just like before?" Jason asked curiously.
⟨ No, we will not use such a crude method this time. Onizume's core is different from a normal one, causing it to be smaller and stable, making it suitable to merge with superhuman body. ⟩
"Huh? Why do you mean by merge?" Jason asked in puzzlement while arriving next to Onizume.
It didn't crossed his mind to actually merge his body with the Gauna's core.
⟨ I will merge the core into your body, granting us the ability to generate one hour worth of lifespan energy everyday. To explain in a much more simple way, it's like having an Arc Reactor inside the body that will also grant you the ability to control Higgs Particles. ⟩
"Woah, I didn't know that was possible? How dangerous is it?"
⟨ It will not be dangerous, but only painful during the merging process. The rest will be beneficial as it will allow us to gain a stable income of lifespan energy daily. You will also no longer worry about suddenly running out of lifespan energy without Gauna appearing for a while. ⟩
"Oh good. It's like those energy cores from cultivation novels I've read before," Jason nodded while thinking It was a worthwhile exchange for just enduring pain.
However, he was quite impressed that he can be similar to iron man. He didn't imagined this would happen.
And Mr. Alien was not lying either.
"So how do I absorb it?"
⟨ Please personally leave the cockpit and touch the core yourself. There's no worry for dangers, the crimson lightning have wrecked the Gauna. ⟩
"But how about the people watching me? They would find it strange."
⟨ I have installed a hidden jamming module in the Guardian Knight's computer program system. It will make the camera malfunction momentarily. ⟩
Jason soon activated the jamming module before opening the cockpit.
It was his first time floating on space, but he immediately floated toward the Gauna's core.
Although the suit didn't have oxygen, Jason was still able to survive the harsh vacuum space with his genetically modified superhuman body.
He soon arrived near the tiny crystal core that was the same size as his pinky nail.
⟨ Please touch it, Host. I will handle the merging process, but be prepared for the pain that will occur at the beginning. ⟩
Jason nodded and placed his hand over the crystal.
The moment he touched it, the core was quickly covered with crimson lightning, a Jason saw their lifespan energy draining a lot.
The tiny crystal entered his palm, immediately making him feel extreme pain as the core travelled toward his chest where the heart was located.
Jason's skin started turning crimson with thick veins crawling out from within his skin hideously as a stable yet berserk energy flowed through his veins.
Hot steams rose from his reddish skin, his body growing much more larger and muscular.
"Ahhhhh!" Jason scream painfully.
He could feel it.
Within his body, he was changing and becoming different.
Just like the Gauna Race, evolving without stopping.
Was he still a human.
Or something else?
A human being that was far superior, destroying logics and reasonings.
What was he?
Perhaps—
—a Demon?
Nonetheless, Jason's humanity still existed strongly inside of his heart, remaining unyielding alongside the seed of hope.
Jason's black eye grew dimmer, but the golden light within it never cease to fade as the crimson eye became brighter.
A large amount of black red particles started wrapping around Jason's body, forming into a demonic armour suit with small horns and crimson lines.

He, Jason Star, wasn't an ordinary superhuman anymore, but something that went beyond it.
An evolved superhuman.
And Jason will never stop evolving.
Just like the Gauna Race.

Wow, if you find the battle scenes messy and confusing, tell me since its hard.
