Chapter 59: The Others' Morning

Suzuki-kun is absent.

When she didn't come in before the first bell, I simply thought she was late, but as the first class was nearly over, I doubt that's the case anymore. She may run late at times, but she has had perfect attendance since school started.

She hasn't contacted me to notify me of her absence. She must know today is one of her work days.

Once the bell rang to end class, I pulled out my phone, feeling displeased.

You: Haruka Suzuki-kun, why are you absent? You must inform me ahead of time if you will be MIA.

Is she off fooling around? No. That can't be the case. She isn't one to do that. That's why I chose her in the first place. Then, is she sick? That's the likely possibility.

Before the next class started, I typed up another message.

You: If you are taking a sick leave, then I suppose I wouldn't mind stopping by to give you the schoolwork you missed today.
