Chapter 34: Elemental Guardian
The next day, there was a surprisingly quick QUIZ about the contents of the book we were given. I accepted the quiz paper and went through it and answered it quickly before falling asleep (meditate).
The teacher saw what I just did and went to my side.
= "069, what are you doing?" = The teacher was so loud that I woke up almost instantly. His face was red and he was glaring at me. I naturally became concerned, = "Why is your face so red? What is the problem teacher? Is your health okay?" =
And seeing his face getting even darker, I became even more worried ) The teacher walked up to me and hit my table.
= "Why are sleeping in the middle of an exam?" = He asked which I answered with the truth, = "I am already finished." =
The teacher did not believe me, I knew of this as fact because he yelled out, = "Bullshit!" = and pick up my paper. I said nothing further as he read through my answers. But as he went through it for ten minutes, his hands trembled and I asked him what was wrong.
= "069, you are finished, you may head out now." = he admitted that I was finished and as I was done already, I was given the chance to leave early.
The test we were given circles on the idea of what is the fundamentals of spells were. There were three books given to us with the same concept but gives three different answers. I answered the exam with all three contents of the books and my own comprehension,iIt was not that hard remembering them. For as long as I could remember my memory had always been great and remembering all those things was nothing but an easy task.
I went back to my room where I slept and began speaking with the elements. When I close my eyes, there were four colors. Red (Fire), Blue (Water), Green (Wind), and Yellow (Earth). Four elements for the four fundamental elements.
As of this moment, I am what you call a Quad Elemental Wielder. But that is not correct. Because according to Lethias, this is just the start.
In the world, only four elements could be contained in the body of any being. Whether it be human or a dragon, only a being from the myths could have more than four elements.
But according to Lethias these four elements are nothing but the most basic elements. I still have three chances to wield other unique elements and this does not refer to the elemental evolutions of the four fundamentals.
Days passed and Lethias continued her so-called teachings and taught me seven new spells.
Two in fire spells: Rank-0 Spell, [Ignite] a simple spell that lets me set anyone on fire who is weaker than I, Rank-0 Spell, [Firesweep] a wide range technique with low attacking capability but it has an incantation that will let me get used to chanting.
Another Two for Water Spells: Rank-0 Spell, [Water Bullet], an Incantation Spell that has considerable attacking power but consumes a lot of mana, Rank-0 Spell, [Bubble], it's a party trick. Seriously, it's a party trick.
Wind Spell: Rank-0 Spell, [Wind Stride], a movement spell that lets me move faster, Rank-0 Speel, [Wind of Detection] an incantation spell that lets me sense my opponent that is fifty meters around me.
Lastly, a single Earth Spell: a Rank-0 Spell, [Stone Wall], an incantation spell with defense at its focus. In all of the Rank-0 defensive spell, it is the strongest and the most demanding of mana.
Lethias asked me to master all of these things in five days. And as a response to her command, I mastered half of them I three days. Just a little more and I would be able to master them all.
But the concept of mastering them is also vague as I only gain the ability to cast the spells. But thankfully, the mana of the Origin World was trying to help to the best of their abilities. I learned a few things in the past few days about these so-called Origin Worlds.
They are a world where Mages and Martials connect and draw Elemental Mana from. The mana of the world is neutral mana.
Another day passed and we have another test. But this is not an exam through papers. We were made to summon our Elemental Guardian and become our Lifelong partners and companion.
It had been said that each element one possesses one will gain a single guardian. With four elements, there should be four guardians correct?
We were in the fields of the academy connecting to space where the Elemental Guardian resides. In my hands was talisman with a hexagram carefully drawn with my blood.
Around me, there was numerous summons happening already. Someone got a serpent, another got a dog, and one of the most eye-catching of all was Viryon managing to call a Green Hound the size of a truck.
I waited for my own Guardian to appear and finally, ten minutes later. I found a golden light burning brightly from afar and I stretched my hand to grasp that light. And as I finally touched it everything was dyed in white and when I opened my eyes, I got a black salamander the size of an adult's leg.
And in my head, its species information flowed "Hydra"
