Chapter 16: Chapter 16: This Family Is Really Too Much
Shinju opens the door and closes it once they are both inside. Rose looked around to see that nothing really changed. She then hears someone coming towards them and a man speaks, "Honey your back so soon?" As he looks at his wife to see that she's not alone. "Rose?" He said with shock. Rose placed the bags gently on the ground and smiled at him and answered, "Hi Mr. Mishima." She extended out her hand intended to shake his hand but instead she was in his embrace. "I'm so glad your back safe and sound. " He then pushed her at arms length, his hands and her shoulders, "My daughter has become a real beauty."
Rose sighed and thought, 'This family is really too much.' She then smiled and thanked him. "So since you are back does that mean the training was a success?" He asked hopefully. Rose smiled and nodded. Both of them sighed with relief. Rose kinda felt bad for lying to them but technically she did leave to do training just not the reason for why to train. "Lets go to my office so we can talk freely." He said as he lead the way. Once inside the office they sat down, Rose in front of the desk while they where behind the desk. Mr. Mishima asked, "So, as you know you are legally are daughter, why won't you join the pack?"
Rose answered, " It's not that I don't want to, I can't. " They waited for Rose to continue. "If I was just a Devour I may have considered but not only am I a Devour, I have Alpha blood running through my veins. So it's not a good idea to have two Alphas from different bloodlines to be in the same pack." Mr. Mishima was surprised he never since the aura of Alpha coming from her. Rose answered his question before he could ask. " The reason why you can't since that I have Alpha blood is because I can hide my aura and scent. After all because I'm a Devour we don't have a scent to begin with as we are incomplete wolves. However, if a Devour has Alpha blood then they have a bit of scent but even still a Devour can hide the scent and aura of their Alpha blood. Of course, the only way for someone to find out that I'm an Alpha or Devour is if I realise my aura. After all you can confirm as you can't sense anything from me even though I sitting right in front of you."
"You are correct." Mr. Mishima said. "I see, it would be bad to have you in the pack unless you are willing to give up your Alpha bloodline." If she did that it would mean she would have to summit to another Alpha and lower themselves to be a beta.
"When have you ever heard of an Alpha doing such a thing?" Rose asked with a smile. After all an Alpha's pride would never all for such a thing to happen especially, if that Alpha was weaker than themselves. Mr. Mishima sighed, " Never but was worth a shot."
"Besides even if I didn't have Alpha blood I've been a rogue for too long I would probably feel like a caged animal if I joined the pack. " Rose said. Mr. Mishima nodded understandably. He asked, "So, what do you plan to do?"
Rose answered, "I was wondering if I can live outside of the territory and build a house if that is alright with you Alpha?" "Call me dad." Mr. Mishima said. Rose looked away and just stared at the wall awkwardly. Mr. Mishima sighed and said, "Fine I won't force you but call me, Katsuo. But until your house is built at least stay with us." Rose smiled in relief and nodded in agreement.
Shinju spoke, "So now that we got all that settled. There is just one more thing left to ask?" Rose looked at her confused. "Will you celebrate Jin's birthday with us tonight?"
