Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Moon Goddess
Rose tried to stand up but fell down as she had no energy left. Her wounds were to deep for her to heal. A small pool of blood was forming under her. She was numb from the pain and was slowly losing consciousness. Before she could close her eyes a woman appeared in front of her. She was beautiful, she had long sky blue hair that went past her waist. Her eyes were a dark grey, she had red eye-shadow, under both her eyes were 3 red dots. She wore a white tube top, a black warp around skirt that stop at her ankles and the skirt was a design of a cherry blossom tree and under the tree was a sky blue color wolf sitting and looking up at the moon. On her arms was clear crystal arm bands and attached to these arm bands was black sleeves. At the end of the sleeves were small jewels hanging on. She was bear footed and had only ankle bracelet on each foot. On the ankle bracelet was a jewel shaped like the moon on it. She knelt down next to Rose and placed Rose's head on her lap. Rose sighed and closed her eyes as if to sleep. She ran her hand through Rose's white hair and a lone tear fell down from the beautiful woman and landed on Rose's face. The tear was absorb and Rose's body was covered with a white light and once it disappeared, all of Rose's wounds were healed, there was not even a scar on her body. The only evidence left of the battle was her clothes that were ripped and covered in blood.
Rose whisper, "Thank you Goddess." The Goddess gave a small smile and spoke, "And here I thought you hated me." Rose answered without hesitation, "Its a love and hate relationship with you." The Goddess chuckled. They stayed in their position for a moment.
"I'm sorry you have to walk down this path. But you are the only one that can walk it. Being a Devour was never meant to be a curse but a blessing." Rose laughed mockingly, "What blessing? I have to drink blood every day just to live. My hands are stained with blood of my family. I even had to tear the mate bond with my own hands just so my mate could live and not die. WHERE IS THIS BLESSING THAT YOU SPEAK OF?!" Tears freely fall down Rose's face as she grabs onto the Goddess skirt, "PLEASE SHOW ME! BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE IT!" She buries her face into the Goddess's lap and tightens her grip on her skirt. "If it's the power of Devour you speak of then what's the point in having it when all the people you love just die by your own hand."
The Goddess looks sadly at Rose and lifts Rose's head up, and gently wipes away her tears. Once Rose looks her in the eyes she speaks, "One day you will see but until then..." She kissed Rose on the forehead, a light appeared but quickly disappeared once she removed her lips. "From now on you can freely transform into your wolf form." Rose opened her mouth but quickly closed it. The Goddess tilted her head and ask, " What is it my dear?" Rose hesitated to answer. The Goddess waited patiently.
Rose asked, "Did Jin...?" but stopped. The Goddess knew what she wanted to ask and answered, "Your mate found his mate." Rose sighed with relief but was sad at the same time. "Thank you." She said gratefully. The Goddess spoke softly, "My Devour, all I have left to say is 'Follow your heart'." She smiled and faded away before Rose's very eyes. Rose stood up once the Goddess was gone. She looked around and found her siblings weapons. She pick them up and spoke, "You can accept me as your new master or you can die along with your masters your choice." The weapons answered by disappearing but just as they disappeared Rose felt a burning sensation on her left and right wrist. She knew that they accepted her as this was the same burning sensation when her weapons had chosen her. Once the burning stopped she look to see on her left wrist was a small black cauldron and coming out of it was mist that wrapped around Rose's wrist like a bracelet. On her right wrist was a wolf covered in flames as it wrapped around her wrist. Once satisfied Rose walked away and did not look back.
