Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Goodbye
Rose jumped up to dodge them but Ethan was a bit faster and bit down on her hind leg and slammed her down on the ground. Kitty took this chance to bite down on Rose's neck drawing blood. Rose struggled to get free. Ethan bit harder on her leg until you heard a crack. Rose howled in pain but what came out was a gurgling sound, blood dripping out of her mouth. She was slowly losing consciousness, she looked up at the blood moon and thought, 'Just a bit more power.' As if the moon heard her, she felt a surge of power running through her body, her pure white fur turned to a dark bloody red and her eyes turned from blue to red, her leg that Ethan had in his mouth healed. Ethan was shocked which allowed Rose to free her leg and kick Ethan in the head, hard enough to make him dizzy. Rose then moved herself under Kitty who was still biting down on her neck. Rose then sunk her claws into Kitty's chest and stomach, before Kitty could let go Rose dragged her claws down, blood came gushing out like a waterfall and even her intestines started spilling out. Kitty eyes became glazed and her body fell limped lifelessly. Rose gently moved Kitty off of her and next to her side.
Rose stood up on all fours and looked at Kitty sadly but quickly put her emotions into check and turned to see Ethan staring at them. Ethan started laughing historically. Rose raised her guard up.
"We really underestimated you." Ethan spoke once he calmed down. "But I am so proud of you little sis! Ha!" He then looked at Kitty corpse. "Big sis would also be proud of you. Then again she's probably cursing at you from the afterlife. "
Rose spoke, "Brother you are weird." He laughed. "That maybe true but what I speak is the truth." He thought, 'Besides what the point in fighting a losing battle.' He sighed, "To bad, I was really looking forward to destroying this world." He looked up at the sky and then back at Rose with a smile. "Well since you took that away Rose then you have to take responsibility. " He paused then continued, "Now give this Big brother a worthy death. DEVOUR ME AND YOU SISTER! MAKE SURE TO NOT LEAVE A DROP OF BLOOD LEFT!" He yelled happily as he charged at her.
Rose charged at him and with a smile yelled at him, "AS YOU WISH BROTHER!" They clashed head on. The force pushed each other back but they quickly charged at each other again. As they fought Rose finally was able to get the upper hand and jumped on his back. Once their eyes meet time still for a moment and Rose spoke through their mind link, "Good bye my brother", Ethan closed his eyes and answered, "Good bye sister." She then bit down on the back of his neck and twisted causing a snapping sound to be heard. Ethan's body fell limped but Rose didn't stop there she ripped out his neck and ate it. She bit down on Ethan's body again and slowly started eating him until there was nothing left. She then looked at Kitty, walked up to her and with her bloody mouth she bit down on, a piece of Kitty's body and started eating Kitty until there was nothing left.
She stared at where her body once laid until her eyesight blurred, she closed her eyes, lifted up her head and howled at the Red Moon. Tears escaped and ran down her face as she howled. This howl was not one of pride of winning a battle but of sorrow. Her fur turned back to white and she slowly started to turned back to her human form. Her sorrow howl became a scream full of agony, tears streamed freely down her face and she fell down on her hands and knees. All the pain and sadness she held in for all these years finally came rushing out. She cried for the loss of her parents, the loss of her siblings, the loneness she had to bare, the pain of killing her family, the suffering of being a Devour. "Why me?" She asked. "Why me? Why does everyone around me have to DIE BY MY HANDS?!!" She looked up at the moon and spoke with such despair, "Moon Goddess how much more must I suffer from walking down this path you have given me? I've done everything you asked of me. I even excepted this curse and became a Devour. Because of what I am I had to give up my mate. I have nothing left. No family. No friends." She felt so empty inside. "What reason do I have to live?" She closed her eyes and a image of a little boy appeared in her mind. She sadly smiled and said softly, "The very thing I give up, is the very reason I live. Jin, my mate, as long as you live and are happy I too will live for you and you alone."
