Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Rogue
-2 a.m. at Jin's house in the backyard-
Jin's mother is standing on the back porch waiting for her husband to return with their son. She looks towards the woods to see her husband in his wolf form coming out of the woods along with other wolves. She ran towards him and ask, "Did you find him?" He shook his head and used the mind link to speak.
"We've looked everywhere in the territory but there is no sign of him." Her fear intensified. He continued, "Don't worry I won't stop looking for him. It seems like he may have left the territory but he shouldn't have gone to far." One of the wolves walked up to him and asked, "Alpha what do you want to do?" Jin's father answered, "We are gonna have to leave the territory. Get a handful of wolves welling to go and and prepare to leave in half an hour." "Yes Alpha." The wolf answered. Then through the mind link someone yelled, "Rogue!"
"Where?!" The alpha shouted. The wolf answered, "It's coming your way. It's a rogue child!"
"Wait a child?" Jin's mother asked. Then looked at her husband and said, "Could it be-" Before she could finish she got her answered as Rose appeared in the backyard. They were shocked to see her but before they could recovered All the wolves there surrounded her and growled. The Alpha snapped when he heard this and commanded, "SILENCE!" The wolves stopped. The Alpha transformed back to his human form and with his wife they walked toward Rose until they stood in front of her.
"Rose, what are you doing here?" Jin's mother asked. The wolves were shocked to see that they knew this rogue. Rose didn't speak instead she straightened up and looked down in her arms. They followed her line of sight to see her holding a small black wolf cub.
"JIN!" His parents screamed shocked and happily. Even the wolves gasped in shocked and murmured Jin didn't wake up even though there was so much noise. Rose gently moved Jin into his mother's out stretched hands. "Don't worry he is not hurt." Rose said. "He only shifted about an hour and a half ago. He is only asleep." His mother held her son close to her chest and sighed in relief he was ok.
"We've been looking everywhere for him. Where did you find him?" Jin's father asked.
"Well I couldn't sleep so I was walking around near my house. As I walking closer to the trees I see Jin stumbling out of the trees and fell. When I ran up to him and realized what was happening I stayed with him and kept him safe until his transformation was complete. Once he fully transformed and wasn't in danger I brought him back here." Rose answered. He sighed in relief knowing that Jin was not by himself and Rose was there for him. He then used the mind link to tell the other wolves that they could go home. The wolves understood and left. Some told him congratulations for Jin transformation and others saying how they are happy to see Jin safe. Once everyone left leaving only Jin, his parents and Rose.
Jin's father grabbed Rose into a hug. Rose was shocked. Then he said, "Thank you!" He then looked at Rose in the eyes, "It seems like we keep being in debt in you for saving Jin. I don't know what we would do without you. Thank you Rose for everything." he said gratefully.
Rose then said, "I'm glad to have been of help." Jin's father then let her go and stood next to his wife and son. "Well I will go home now." She was about to walk away when Jin's mother spoke.
"Rose it's already late and dangerous to leave this late. Why not just spend the night here?" Rose was about to argue when Jin's father spoke.
"Please at least stay here so we can have a peace of mind." Rose hesitated. "Besides if you stay Jin will be really happy to know that when he wakes up you will be here for his birthday." He continued. Rose sighed and nodded in agreement. They smiled and went into the house. They lead Rose into their spare room.
"I don't have any clothes with me..." Rose commented. Jin's mother answered "Don't worry I already had someone bring clothes for you into the room." Rose thanked them. They bid her good night and closed the door. She looked around room and it was pretty big and clean. Across the room was a window and in front of the window was a full size bed. Then on the left side of the room was a brown 7 drawer dresser. She opened one of the drawers to see some clothes that were her size. She then change into white pajamas she found. Then looked around to see a laundry basket so she put her clothes in there. She grabbed the Jin's present and placed it into her pajamas shorts pocket. She then climbed into the bed and pulled the blanket over herself and looked out the window. 'It's been a long time since I been in a bed, let alone a roof over my head.' Rose thought. As she closed her eyes and slept a dreamless sleep.
