Kotori: Reine, what is he talking about?
Reine: He is just spouting nonsense to get out of this scot free.
Kotori: That must be it...
But before Kotori could make her mind up, Fynn threw another bomb, making his voice be heard in the whole ship through the speakers.
Fynn: Kotori Itsuka... You were turned into a Spirit when you were only a child. There are very few registered spirits, Yamai being one of those few that has been around for a while. What would you do if I told you that Phantom is the one that pulls the strings... and she is sitting right there by your side.
Reine: Don't listen to him Koto...
Kotori: Ugh! My memories... they are coming back...
Reine: To think someone would know my real identity...
*Back with Fynn*
'I guess my tactic worked, since Kotori is silent.'
A flash of bright white light appears in front of me and Reine, now in her spirit form, walks from it. She is still hiding behind the veil, which kind of annoys me.
Fynn: Remove that stupid veil. I already know who you are and what your true face looks like.
Reine: I don't have a true...
Fynn: I am not going to put up with your stupid shit. Remove the veil.
Without even answering, she just does what I said. I guess she is aware of the fact that if she tries to play even a little bit, she'll get bitten.
Reine: How do you know who I am?
Fynn: I know who everyone is, the same way I know that you did to Tobiichi Origami, Miku Izayoi, Kurumi Tokisaki and many others. All in your egotistical delusions of you controlling everyone from the backstage.
Reine: I am as well as dead right?
Fynn: No.
Reine: What?
I love seeing people's surprised expressions when I say something unexpected. I never get tired of it.
Fynn: You are a beautiful being with the wrong objective. You could do... so much good.
Reine: But haven't I helped people?
Fynn: I said, no games. Was I clear enough?
She flinched a bit when she understood she wasn't going to get out of this one with her superior conversational skills. I am not stupid, even if sometime I behave like I am. I can even see her Reiryoku moving if I focus my Dragon Sight.
Fynn: I take your silence as a positive answer. I'll explain the situation you are in currently. What you were trying to do, playing to be god, is way above your level. You might believe you are really smart, but you are borderline idiotic. Your plan would have failed even if I didn't appear. Why? It was full of flaws. Even with all your power, you can't fight all spirits, Kurumi Tokisaki has proven to be enough of a hassle for you, which proves my point. Second, you couldn't have kept everyone's memories sealed forever, since you aren't all powerful. Third, an unexpected piece, like me... or Mio Takamiya appearing again.
When Reine heard that name, she really lost her composure for a few good seconds before managing to pull herself together. This is what those characters in novels felt when they knew everything and everyone kept trying to read them? Because I am getting addicted to this.
Reine: How...
Fynn: I just do, accept it. Alright... now I'll give you a chance.
Reine: Do I have a choice?
Fynn: Yup, two options actually. The first one and the one I hope you choose is to join me and use your powers to help me protect people, not put them in danger. The second is for me to seal you powers and you live a normal life as the real Reine Murasame, and not just a cover.
Reine: Why would I even accept any of those?
Fynn: Because you are only a minute point in time. Your small and fragile, even if you are strong in the eyes of others. You would break and disappear if nobody knew you. You wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the bad luck of others. You are but a manifestation of manipulation. All this time you have been doing things in search a reason. I don't know about other people, but I would like to be that reason. To be the anchor that keeps those like you tied to life. It's the same I said to Yuzuru and Kaguya. I don't want to see something so beautiful suffer like that through eternity.
I didn't expect it to go this way, but the three present spirits are now crying. I might be wrong but I think Kotori was also crying, since I caught a sob from her. Well, this wouldn't last much with Reine though, so I might as well prepare for her questions.
Reine: That was... more eye-opening than I expected. But I still can't just blindly trust you. I know you protected my kind but...
Fynn: Don't mind it. I would also be wary if someone strong enough to kill me appeared all of a sudden and knew all my secrets. There are some things I can't answer yet though, so bear with me for a bit.
Reine: First of all... what are you?
Fynn: I am a Campione, Slayer of Gods. Also I am an Auri, something like Bahamut's kin.
Reine: What were those powers you used earlier?
Fynn: It is something I call Dragoon. Those are the powers I got after Bahamut decided to give me his life. The spear I use is called Gae Bolg, and my armor is the Trueblood. As for my energy and powers, they are all composed of Draconic Energy. It is the same as your Reiryoku but tuned for dragons.
Reine: Are there more like you?
Fynn: I can tell there are quite a few, at least 3 that I know of right now. But we are not the only powerful beings. Gods, Devils, Angels... everyone exists. Though only I know of the existence of everyone, since not everyone bothers with weird happenings.
Reine: One last question... How many?
Fynn: I don't know. For now I only moved on six. Might be more, though not many and not all of a sudden.
Reine: Good, you are honest. But... I call dibs on being the first.
And just when I thought nothing could be better, Reine jumped on me, hugged my neck tightly and planted a deep kiss right on my lips. At first I thought of pushing her from me but I decided against it and hugged her by the waist firmly against me. We stayed like that for around two minutes, when I heard a cough that I could swear was filled with jealousy.
Fuuka: Fynn-senpai, it is not proper to do that on school grounds.
Reine: Oh what a cutie, she looks like she wants to be in my place right now!
Fuuka: I don't! I don't even care about him! Hmph!
Reine: Oh my... So he rushed in here, fought two supernatural beings while carrying you and you don't care about him? How ungrateful...
Fuuka: Wha- I... I didn't... I'm sorry!
And she left running. I just glare at Reine, to which she giggles lightly. I guess she recognized the bigger threat and decided to push her a little bit. This way, Fuuka would need some time to sort her thoughts and feelings out. Still... what a crafty fox I've gotten myself.
Fynn: You know Reine, I am pretty sure Fox would've served you better than Phantom as an alias.
Reine: But Phantom sounds so much cooler...
Fynn: I can't argue with that thought process, at least not know...
Then, something hit me. No, literally, something hit me.
Fynn: Kaguya, what are you doing?
Kaguya: Don't forget about us now that you got her!
Yuzuru: Doubt... What should we do now?
Fynn: I'll take you all in with me! You can live in my house freely as long as you don't break stuff or fight inside. I'll introduce you to my parents later. My mother will be ecstatic to have so many new people around.
Reine: And her first daughter-in-law.
Fynn: Yeah, that too, wifey.
Reine: Th-th-that... don't call me that all of a sudden...
Oh I love so much seeing those reactions from the girls. Guess I'll use this to tease her for a while. Though, knowing Reine, she will get used to it sooner rather than later.
Then, a magic circle appears in front of us. I instantly recognize it as the circle of the Sitri household.
Fynn: *sigh*... I wanted to avoid this for now... but I guess it was to be expected, after all this is "her" territory. Though only until I claim it.
Sona: Fynn... You don't seem surprised to see me appear like this.
Fynn: Yeah, yeah. Skip the formalities, miss heiress.
A little taken aback when she realized that I know her origins, Sona decided to keep with what she originally came here for.
Sona: My sister wishes to talk to you... in name of the Devil's. She would like to know who protected this area and used so big a strength.
Fynn: Fine. Tell her to come to my house. The address is at ******** here at Kaigi City. You shouldn't have trouble finding this place, since it is the biggest house in the residential area.
Sona: Well then, I'll take my leave.
And just as Sona disappeared in a magic circle, I heard a ring that made me happy instantaneously.

So here I am using this space again. Guess I'll just do it often. I really would love for you guys to enter the Discord server, because it would make my life easier. I'd just have to put a poll up there instead of reading all comments, though I'd still read them. Well, back on topic!
I'll make some tweaks here and there so that some of you will be able to see some characters which shouldn't belong in the world of devils from H-DXD and I'll also make it so that you all are happy. Also, SeRaPHin, I am already working on adding Ereshkigal and Ishtar, no worries man, they'll be here in no time.
Also! The phrases I was going to add in the author's thoughts are going to be at the top of the chapter. Though you'll notice since you will read them there.
