Chapter 21: Loving one more woman isn't wrong, right?
Even after he left the two women and went back to his room, Axel couldn't stop being nervous since it was possible that Zeus had already found out about his existence.
Though the possibility of it was very less, it was possible that he might have been unlucky and met Lanying when her father was watching her.
Turning sweaty with just the thought of imagining what would happen in Zeus did indeed find out about him, Axel couldn't sit still anymore.
Entering the bathroom in hopes of using a cold shower go calm down, Axel had just stripped and turned the water on when someone entered the bathroom.
"Fuck... Not you again."
"Humph! I can't believe you'd speak like that to me even after meeting the girl. How did you know it was me anyway?"
"Even though you aren't actually here, whenever you take over someone's body there is a peculiar sweet scent around you."
"Awwww..."
"A sweet and toxic scent which makes me want to run away."
"Awwwww.. "
Saying the same thing in a different tone, Aphrodite who had taken over the body of one of the female staff in the hotel asked, "So, how was it? Isn't she perfect like I said she was?"
"Oh yeah. She's so perfect that I'm never going to meet her again."
"Oohhh... You found out already?"
Rolling his eyes and almost punching the wall, Axel said, "Yeah. I figured it out. Setting me up with a daughter of Zeus? Why didn't you just arrange a blind date for me and Athena?!"
Almost screaming, Axel for an instant forgot that he shouldn't be throwing around the names of Gods and Goddesses so carelessly.
"Sssshhhhh... You look like you're going to attract their attention by yourself."
Walking near Axel and hugging him, Aphrodite asked, "I didn't want to say anything, but shouldn't you be more respectful in the graces of a Goddess? How come you didn't even stop bathing."
Pushing Aphrodite away without the slightest concern, Axel who almost destroyed his life and caused trouble to the five women he cared the most about showed that he wasn't in a good mood.
"Humph! Forget about her father, Lanying is truly the best woman for you. Once you get close to each other and she opens up to you, she'll both become the woman who loves you the most as well as your best supporter. Due to the blood of Gods in her veins, there is no saying how strong she'll become. The right to become a deity is more with her than you already."
"Think about it."
Leaving after saying those words, Aphrodite made the woman whom she just took overthink that she was suffering from amnesia to not remember how she turned wet.

Once Aphrodite left, Axel locked the door so that she didn't come back, or anyone else didn't disturb him as he started thinking about what to do under the cold shower which was doing its part in keeping him calm.
Aphrodite's words weren't wrong because as someone who possessed the blood of a God, and not just any God but Zeus himself, Lanying had more right and qualifications to become a Deity than him.
After all, what he possessed was just the True Essence of the Goddesses. And his body was something which was created artificially from using the Essence of Chaos.
So, even though he was stronger and had more potential than Lanying in cultivation, when it came to the right to become a God, Lanying was the one who had a higher chance than him.
This was because the five Goddesses unfortunately couldn't find a method to use their blood and fuse it with him during the process of his creation.
Also, Lanying was truly a beauty who brought out both the best and worst in every man making it harder for Axel to stop thinking about her even when he wanted to do so.
That beauty was truly on the level of competing against real Goddesses.
Thinking about this, Axel couldn't help but mutter, "It isn't wrong to live one more woman, is it?"
This was when it struck him. Laying could be his ticket in diffusing one of the biggest threats of his future.
Putting aside how beautiful she was, Lanying's existence was enough for Axel to blackmail Zeus into keeping his own existence a secret.
After all, he remembered Hestia saying that Hera was fed up with Zeus and vowed to leave him if she found out he cheated on her again.
And considering the time she told him and Lanying's age, Axel despite not being completely sure guessed that Zeus cheated on Hera after promising to not do so.
So, if he and Lanying ended up becoming a couple, he'd have more power in his hand to keep Zeus silent about him if and when found out.
Zeus thought not completely invincible across all the mythologies, was one of the strongest Gods who without any doubt could cause trouble for Gods who weren't a part of his own mythology.
Therefore, if Axel could diffuse the threat of Zeus even before he threatened him, his path to becoming a God would turn a whole lot simpler.
