One Week Later
"So this is it huh?"
Leroy looks at Hanson, his eyes listing from his lack of sleep as he questioned softly, staring upon the Hac Sa Beach, now not as majestic like a hundred years ago. Most of the sandy coastline now submerged beneath the rough seas with just several remnants of it's past. The damp colours of tan now diluted amongst large clumps of seaweed, rotting with age amongst the barren landscape of metropolitan rectangles and squares. The wildlife, now barely seen on the sand wandered into their spots, saddened with destiny to be like a flower on the road. Ignored by the public about it's life. It probably hoped for a safer home. But the parasites had driven them towards the sea. Squeezing them into a harsh lifestyle they could barely cope.
He looks ahead, seeing a concrete tunnel entrance, fully covered with a bright yellow hue glimmering from the large tunnel upon the lush plants left and treated, hiding a small road as it brought their guests into a bright floor of a leading grey and white. He doesn't know about the status of his teammates, wondering about their thoughts as he sees them driving their scramblers and her 'prized possession' head first into the tunnel, the dirty sound echoed through the tunnel with steadfast enthusiasm. But all he knows is that the hotel and casino was elegant. He peered closer, ignoring the unsightly lines of his destination with what looked like a oriental temple which was in the middle of what looked like 4 light towers, illuminating the rough purple dusk as the darkness crept closer to the building. It's details of the country's lore intricately carved on stone and painted on the thin layers of canvas walls , small enough such that it had to be seen closely to understand.
It was about one week ever since their preparations. They could barely compile something to probably stand up against his forces despite Guy providing them with scramblers. He still remembered how Ambar did all-nighters all simply because of his backstabbers. He still doesn't have a clue why he hates them so much, just because of some crappy oath? He however was certainly was impressed by his determination. Creating several devices that he had not been able to tell. Their silhouette similar to that of a mouse as it clambered into his large backpack. Barely looking like he had went mountaineering. Kinda ridiculous now that he had remembered his bag along with his fancy outfit. An easy picking.
He slid his way onto a low lying building close-by. Laying down his latest invention. Hanson stared, tired of carrying a sniper rifle as the Ipad Leroy left on the ground began to reveal itself, revealing its' legs. Each portions part of the large device protector that once wrapped around it like cushion In the middle of the screen, a large cylindrical piece revealed itself. Lighting around it with a green hue as Hanson noticed a vibration in his sleek thin phone. It's message making Hanson impressed as he showcased the message to his colleague.
"The EYE System has been activated. Check your status"
Leroy nudged his hidden microphone. Irked as the audio makes an electronic shriek. It's only saving grace being it's invisibility to the naked eye despite it's prototype status and the rush needed to make such devices. He peered out at the now bright attraction, blinding him in the darkness as he makes his call.
"You guys are ready?"
"Not yet..."
Shao Lin makes a whisper as she arrives by the large drop-off point. Looking up to see illuminated fresh pine decorating the ceiling and walls amongst a large crowd of locals and tourists standing about with taxis and buses crowding at one end. She still has not idea why they simply stood around coldly. But as she looked around, her questions simply vanished. Drowned out by the ugly sight of people staring at her American car, now filled with a loud racing livery with a double stripe and large numbers. Adding onto the large skirts and bucket seats as appetisers, looking as if it had just won a championship. She doesn't really know if she should be proud about her prized possession she had worked on for over a week, despite Max's disappointment. But nevertheless, she parks by the lobby while her colleague scrambled down to the lots, grabbing Ambar's belongings as he hops out of the vehicle, rather uncomfortable despite his fluid movement as he nearly hit the metal door now fitted in place.
"Here is you stuff."
He gives a subtle nod, knowingly tense despite his usual calmness as he wanders up the stairs. She kept the keys, hiding under her bright pink purse, as she wandered past the bellman who admired it more than his job entails. Passing by and completely ignoring the people staring at them like she was a hated celebrity in these clothes. She hastily enters the Casino, her bondage boot's tapping the marble with force and confidence, not minding the outfit she was tasked with. A long, loud, sleek black with cuts in between for walking and rest, hoping to blend in into the environment. She however looks back, still rather concerned about Sylvie after her breakdown, knowing she hates anything that is loud in taste. Though she is rather confused about her style and attitude lately.
Up above her head, she sees a large articulate chandelier filled with wood with the walls decorated like a large museum. Amazing her with it's sheer size. Around the 'art piece', large dark oriental fences laid the room, illuminating it in a warm lights amidst the polished marble and oriental green tiles which had been laid horizontally on the walkway. Filled with paintings which seemed to be painstaking modified amongst the floor. She calmly yet hastily makes her way down the spiraling stairs, large slot machines laid surrounding the pillars of the entire structure amongst tables of blackjack filled with men and women busied themselves with gambling. Something she isn't interested in.
She continued her way, sitting herself down by a bar, hardly looking the part with it's modern white looks and western beers and cups. The only thing that looked the part was the floral outlines which streaked through the black panel walls. Glowing blue by to Guy's predicted location of corridors and fancy paintings. She crossed her legs, revealing her large stockings, hoping that her weapon is concealed as she nonchalantly orders a martini. Staring quietly at the seller, a bulbous man with a large chin and nerdy glasses as she relaxed by the large bench seat and drank wildly. Hoping not to attract the heavily armed men guarded the entrance.
"Seriously? Of all things man, I thought we would all get rewarded!"
She hears Max on the line, taking out her phone as she covered her ears. Hoping to not attract attention as she responded, "Don't worry, the drinks would be on me once we head back alright?"
He smiled smirking, cheering and looking forward to his mission ending, though Ambar wonders if it was for other reasons. Unsure of his relationship between him and Shao Lin. He looks ahead, moving his last machines to their final stop, unable to completely relax and continuously stare at Max who slouched by the pillars below, observing the crowd. He quickly turns away, heading through the gamblers and potted plants and into the often ignored back doors that were painted by amateurs with 'stylish' blobs and creases, silently planting his last drones by the dull walls as he casually wanders out into the crowd with a bag still filled with his portable weapon, all of whom partied, completely oblivious as to what is happening, just rather glad to see a hero wander by.
"Is everyone in their positions?" Leroy asked as he stares, horrified by a bunch of large black Japanese SUVs riding slowly in a file with robots in the skies. Hardly concealed and brutishly made remnants from Sector A and Sector B, probably sold to the buyer at a cheap cost. Or maybe they were stolen, he couldn't tell at all.
Beneath their feet and large bulbous guns, a futuristic white helicopter approached the landing pad, filled with large new wind blades that seemed out of sci-fi films of yesterday. He continued, gasping in awe at the sight, "Because our target is here..."
I can only wonder how was the martini...
