Chapter 267: I'm your executioner

My computer broke the other day so I couldn't post or write anything :( here u have 4 chapters for these past days!

After the battle against Lancer and the encounter with the rest of the Servants, Drako and Mordred had returned home for dinner. Sakura, Kuroka, and Zoe had been waiting for them.

Sakura greeted them with a happy smile upon seeing them arrive (Mordred and Drako had put away their armor before arriving home), having no idea of the dangerous battle they had been involved in.

Kuroka and Zoe were a little worried.

They knew Drako was alive, as they too would have died if the dragon had lost his life in the battle, but they did not know what his condition was. It was worth remembering that the last time Drako fought against someone of his level, he ended up in a very bad state, and Zoe practically died.

After putting Sakura to sleep, Drako talked a bit with Zoe before leaving the house once again. Apparently, she was a bit bored, so Drako had sent her out hunting.

Putting together his knowledge of the Fate/Zero world with the trace of magic he could sense due to his keen senses, Drako went down a drain.

What he found was a lair of non-humans. With countless tentacles (Hentai-vibes), the innumerable aquatic monsters dwelled there clustered together in the narrow tunnel, waiting to strangle any pitiful wanderer to death.

Naturally, even if he was watching such an unpleasant scene, for Drako, this was nothing.

With Agni Gandiva in hand, Drako makes his way easily. The bodily fluids and chunks of flesh of the monsters charred by the fire arrows' power thickly filled the interior of the tunnel-like mist.

The nest of Caster, Gilles de Rais, or Bluebeard, only had a huge number of familiars settled there. There was nothing more than that. It had nothing to do with the usual workshop of a mage, but was just a place to place his "army".

Defences like this that only relied on lowly pawns were not a suitable prey for Servants adorned with rank Noble Phantasm. Therefore, for Drako, this was a turn of events without minor resistance, an anti-climax.

If this really was a mage's workshop, such an arrangement that could only be described as "rubbish" would be something that would never happen. As such, it could be seen that Gilles was not a true Caster, even if he was a Servant summoned as such.

Before long, Drako realised that he was reaching the end of the tunnel. The number of tentacles had greatly diminished, and Drako appeared in a wide space. As before, the surroundings were under absolute darkness without a single ray of light.

"Really, how disgusting..."

Those were the words that involuntarily escaped Drako's mouth after seeing the scene in front of him.

Even knowing what he was going to see coming to this place, this was hard to accumulate even for Drako.

As an illustration; that place was like a variety shop.

There was furniture. There were clothes. Musical instruments, cutlery. Various items whose uses he didn't understand at all; they were probably just paintings or works of art. You could sense the enthusiasm of the creator devoting himself entirely to diligently designing them, and his debauched sense of humour.

Unmistakably, the craftsman who made these incessantly loved their raw materials, like the manufacturing process.

They understood that there was someone who violently discovered pleasures. That must be the person who committed these murders. But the things in this bloodstained space were not corpses.

There was not a single "destroyed remains" here. Everything was a new creation; an art. Their lives as "human beings", their carcasses as "human beings" were completely discarded without further meaning in the process of art - that was the whole of the massacre in this place.

This scene could mentally overcome the mind of any human. Even magi like Tokiomi or Kiritsugu could not bear this scene at all.

And the authors of these "works of art" were in front of Drako.

Uryu Ryunosuke and his Servant, Gilles de Rais.

"Easy prey."

Drako couldn't help but mutter as he took a look at Caster's stats.

Of course, maybe it wasn't going to be that simple. After all, Caster-class Servants didn't rely on their Stats in the first place, but on their magic and Noble Phantasm.

In this case, Gilles' Noble Phantasm is a textbook.

Prelati's Spellbook: Textbook of the Sunken Spiral Castle is a demonic guidebook and summoning grimoire with a cover made of glistening and wet human skin.0It is also known as the R'lyeh Text in reference to H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. It was probably copied from the original book in the Sunken Spiral Castle, translated from the R'lyeh language into Chinese during the Xia Dynasty, and later translated into Italian by François Prelati; though an alternate telling of the grimoire's origin describes Prelati sealing a link to the Sunken Spiral Castle into a blank Bible, turning it into a Mystic Code capable of summoning Horrors. Furthermore, the previous original text was described in a language other than that of humanity's languages. The book contains records of a forbidden knowledge relating to an evil god of an ancient time sometime before humanity's origin.

As the holder of the book, Caster can summon Horrors. These creatures are the ones Drako had slain on his way here. Rather than simply functioning as a tome of spells and curses, the book itself is a "monster" that functions as a Magical Energy Reactor core possessing its own enormous magical energy furnaces completely independent of its wielder's magical energy

"Who are you?"

Drako looked at the boy who had spoken, Uryu, and naturally answered him.

"I am your executioner."

Chapter 268: Such a nostalgic feeling...

Both Caster and Ryunosuke did not recognize Drako.

Although they had seen the great battle that had happened at the port thanks to Caster's magecraft, Drako was wearing his armor at that time.

Besides, Ryunosuke was just enjoying the battle like a movie, while Caster had his eyes on Saber because of her strong resemblance to Jeanne d'Arc.

"I see you don't look so good, Gilles," Drako said with a smirk. "Has Jeanne rejected you?"

Caster's pale face darkened, which was a fantastic sight in Drako's eyes.

"Damn you, you must be one of those who have brainwashed my dear holy maiden, I curse you!"

Gilles' face distorted as he screamed, bringing his hands to his face and clawing at his cheeks. He really was mad.

"Since that's the way things are, I'll kill you first and then help Jeanne get back to normal."

With his black cassock covered with the blood of the children who had recently been killed, Caster stood in the middle of the sea of blood with a chilling and terrifying smile.

"What do you think of this tragic scene - mortifying? You know..."

Drako wasn't willing to listen to a single word from Caster. He raised his bow and aimed in the direction of the Servant's heart. An arrow appeared in position to be shot.

Sensing the desire to kill in Drako's eyes, as well as the danger coming from his weapon, Caster stopped talking. He pulled one of his hands out of his cassock, revealing a strange book.

Without any doubt, that was Caster's Noble Phantasm.

Sensing danger, Drako hastily moved to the side. Where he stood before, a tentacle came out of the ground at high speed.

Drako's face turned pale.

Not so much because the tentacle could have killed him, but because of the direction the attack had taken.

That was headed straight for his ass!

At the same time, numerous tentacles came out of the ground, surrounding Drako.

Those monsters are about the same size. They have no limbs or lower body, making them impossible to describe in words. There is a circular mouth at the end of each of those limitless tentacles. The mouths contained razor-like teeth like those of a shark.

These were the Horrors.

"You should have made better preparations before you confronted me."

Caster laughed as if celebrating his victory. The book in his hand glowed, and Drako could feel the massive amounts of prana surging around the book, like its center, and expanding outward.

Caster was certainly not relying on his Stats. The danger Drako felt from that book and Caster was not inferior to the one he felt from Lancer.

"This is the magic book my friend and ally left for me. I obtained the means to lead demon armies using this book. What do you think, is it not that no other army can stand against my demon army?"

Drako just looked condescendingly at the tentacles that appeared and slowly surrounded him.

He heard a strange noise coming from behind him. Drako turned and saw a horde of tentacles arrive on the scene. Without a doubt, these were the tentacles he had destroyed earlier.

Many would have despaired at finding themselves in this situation. However, Drako knew the reality about these tentacles.

Every time Drako killed a tentacle, it would be reborn within seconds. At the same time, Caster was going to keep creating new tentacles.

In normal situations, Drako would have to wait for Caster's prana to run out. However, Caster did not use his prana to summon these monsters. He only used the seemingly infinite prana coming from the book.

That book is a prana furnace with an incredible capacity, a monster that can use magic for its own power. Caster did not read the spells from the book's pages, but only freely manipulated that book that served as a source of prana.

100, 200, 500…

Drako had lost count of how many tentacles surrounded him. However, he just looked at Caster calmly, who returned his calm gaze.

They both flashed self-confidence, both knew they were going to win against their opponent.

Drako was not going to kill the tentacles one by one. That was stupid; they didn't even give experience!

Drako aimed his bow towards the ceiling. His black arrow began to take on a silvery glow, the same glow that was taking over his entire body.

It was a glow he had already seen on Zoe, Thalia, and Bianca. A glow that was appearing for the first time on his body.

Yes, because he was also part of the group called Hunters. And it was time to prove it, saying a prayer for his Goddess and his annoying brother.

"With my bow and arrows, I respectfully ask for the divine protection of the sun god Apollo and the moon goddess Artemis."

Drako shot the arrow, which immediately split in two. The power of these arrows was such that they easily pierced the roof of the place, getting lost in the night.

"I offer thee this calamity."

Caster sensed the danger approaching him, his book opened, and the pages moved at high speed.

"Phoebus Catastrophe!"

The ceiling disappeared.

The dark night appeared, and instantly vanished.

Drako watched with a smile as the countless arrows descended upon him and his surroundings. Annihilating everything around him.

This was Drako's power as a Hunter of Artemis.

The Phoebus Catastrophe that Drako had just used had nothing to do with the one he used when Akeno's house was attacked so many years ago.

"Sigh... such a nostalgic feeling."
