Chapter 34: The Clash of Blood and Steel
En Oyashiro's eyes widened in disbelief as he gazed upon the metal spears rising from the ground. "Impossible," he muttered. "That power was lost generations ago."
Tatsu smirked, maintaining his focus on the swirling mass of metal around him. "It's funny what you can rediscover with the right motivation."
En Oyashiro's expression twisted into one of fury. "Motivation? You think you can stand against me with your parlor tricks?" He clenched his fists, summoning more blood from the villagers around him. The blood formed into sharp, crimson blades that hovered menacingly in the air.
Tatsu's eyes glowed with the power of the Ketsuryugan. "Your reign of terror ends today."
With a roar, En Oyashiro launched his blood blades at Tatsu. The air whistled with the speed of the projectiles. Tatsu stood his ground, manipulating the metal spears to intercept and shatter the blood blades mid-air. Sparks flew as metal clashed against blood, creating an eerie dance of red and silver.
The girl watched in awe, clutching her hands together, her heart pounding in her chest. She had never seen such power before, and the realization that she might be witnessing the end of her father's tyranny filled her with a mixture of fear and hope.
En Oyashiro, seeing his blood blades neutralized, let out a frustrated growl. He raised his hands, causing the ground beneath Tatsu to crack and shake. Blood seeped up through the fissures, forming into chains that shot towards Tatsu, aiming to bind him.
Tatsu quickly reacted, the metal spears shifting to form a protective barrier around him. The blood chains clashed against the metal, unable to penetrate. With a swift motion, Tatsu redirected the spears, sending them hurtling towards En Oyashiro.
En Oyashiro dodged, but not before one of the spears grazed his arm, drawing blood. He hissed in pain, his eyes narrowing. "You insolent brat! You dare wound me?"
Tatsu took a step forward, his gaze steely. "This ends now, En Oyashiro. You won't hurt anyone else."
With a fierce battle cry, Tatsu unleashed his full power. The ground around them shook violently as more metal spears erupted from the earth, forming a storm of lethal projectiles. En Oyashiro, desperate, summoned all his remaining chakra to create a massive shield of blood around him.
The two forces collided with a thunderous impact, creating a shockwave that knocked the girl off her feet. She scrambled back up, her eyes wide as she watched the epic confrontation.
Tatsu poured all his chakra into his attack, the metal spears glowing with a blinding light. En Oyashiro's shield began to crack under the relentless assault. He screamed in rage and fear, realizing that he was outmatched.
With a final, deafening crash, Tatsu's metal spears shattered En Oyashiro's shield and pierced through his body. En Oyashiro let out a strangled cry, his eyes filled with shock and pain. Blood poured from his wounds as he collapsed to the ground.
Tatsu stood over him, breathing heavily but victorious. "This is for our clan," he said quietly.
En Oyashiro's eyes flickered with the last vestiges of life. "How... could you..." he gasped before his body went limp, his life force extinguished.
The girl rushed to Tatsu's side, tears streaming down her face. "Thank you," she whispered. "Thank you for freeing us."
Tatsu nodded, his expression softening. "It's over now. You're safe."
As the dust settled and the villagers began to regain their senses, Tatsu knew that the future of their clan would be different. With En Oyashiro's tyranny ended, there was hope for a new beginning, one built on the strength and unity of those who had survived.
