Chapter 3: <2> Preparations
After about an hour she reached a somewhat safe place. During her walk, she had to be on guard all the time, because of dangerous animals, bugs, and other abnormal creatures. Kassandra might be abnormal, but so is everything on this island, even after living here for 11 years she still can't let her guard down.
She climbed a big tree that seemed hollow on the inside. After confirming safely of her temporary shelter, she sat down in the hole in this tree. It wasn't very comfortable, but the tree is high enough so it's unreachable for most animals and this type of tree is poisonous for bugs. Just like bug repellent. There aren't any other types of trees in proximity.
Finally having some time to think, Kassandra started a full analysis of her state.

|It seems like it'll take some time for the scan to end, but fusing with the system is almost done. It's already afternoon, when I will be done with the scan and preparations, I will go to the beach on which most of the people got washed ashore. There I someone I want to find amongst survivors.|
With this, she started thinking about her basic needs and what she has to prepare. The most important are water, safe shelter, and food. Also, the medicine, hygiene, and means to protect yourself. She already has an idea as to where to make permanent camp, but even if she was by herself it would take days. She wants to take some people with her, that would extend the time needed to move there. So she decided to make many temporary shelters she can use at any time. Before going to the safest place on this island she plans to stay near survivor camp, at last until there is still on order. She will scavenge materials and resources from shipwreck and check the underground cave system. Under the whole island, there are caves and tunnels. Scientists used them for easier communication and transportation. A big part of caves was even rebuilt so scientists would have easier work.

Before she realized the scan already ended. Kassandra checked data from the scan and it seems there aren't any major problems with her. With this she climbed down from the tree and started to gather resources, because she knows what is safe and what is not, she quickly gathered edible plants. She made the bag using long and hard grass growing on the whole island. Before she had problems with this, but now she has years of practice. She hunted snakes with traps she made. Not only it's meat is a source of nutrients, but also if properly skinned, cleaned, and tied on one side. It makes for the perfect water container. After eating, packing food, and storing water, she slowly makes her way to the closest beach. To look for resources and potential companions. The sky already red in color slowly but surely darkens, but it makes no difference for Kassandra. She knows the paths and ways of this island more than anyone else, with the addiction of the system's night vision there's no way she would get lost.
