Huge Gathering
Xuan Long was sitting below a huge tree peacefully looking at the huge crowd gathered at the foot of the mountain. No one among them is a close to threat to him. There were over hundred thousand people gathered at the foot. Most of them are here to check their luck and join Azure Dragon Sect. If they were able to even enter the sect as the outer disciple, life of their families will change completely.
Azure Dragon Sect is one of the strongest sect in the Azure Sky Boundary. There were only 4 other sects and school that can match Azure Dragon Sect in terms of power, influence and capabilities. Azure Dragon Sect is on the southern part of Azure Sky Boundary. Northern Part was under the influence of Heavenly Sword Sect , while western part of the boundary was under the influence of Immortal Blue Sect. Azure Dragon Sect, Heavenly Sword Sect and Immortal Blue Sect combined form the Righteous Trio. Eastern Part of Azure Boundary is under the influence of Great Yin sect, they are called evil sect because of their sect using taboos for cultivation. Last sect among big five the Black Dragon Sect, no one knows where their base is, they are most mysterious and very dangerous among both the evil sects. Both factions are constantly under the war with righteous sect in domination.
Xuan Long was observing the crowd and noticed that there are less than thousand people among all the people gathered who reached Qi Refining realm, it is almost one Qi refiner for hundred Qi gathering stage disciples. Highest cultivation among all of them is 5th stage Qi refining stage , there are 12 cultivators with that cultivation, all of them are 15 years old, which was the maximum stipulated age for the entering the sect. The conditions for participating in the entrance of sect exam is maximum age of 15 and minimum cultivation of 7th stage Qi Gathering stage. This requirements are very lax but it does not guarantee admission to the sect. Real test is what comes next, one has to travel through Azure Dragon Valley to enter the sect, any one who can do this will be able to enter the sect. Trans versing through Azure Dragon Valley has nothing to do with cultivation, but more about mental toughness and purity.
As Xuan Long was checking others other Qi Refining cultivators were also checking out others. There were more than 200 factions just in the southern part of Azure dragon Boundary. Long family is just one of the top influential family in the Azure Dragon Boundary, even in entire Azure Dragon Boundary their family influence is among top ten. They only sent 76 of their disciples to Azure Dragon sect, they have their geniuses in all the righteous schools and sects in Azure Dragon Boundary. All major families have similar distributions. But Azure Dragon Sect is the place where Long family sends their heirs for training. There are over 300 core disciples in Long Family and Xuan Long met all the main disciples previously. Of them 16 are joining Azure Dragon Sect, there would be 50 people who would join Heavenly sword sect, disciples coming from sword sect are mostly in charge of punishment hall and most of the elders come from Heavenly sword sect and then from immortal blue sect.
Xuan Long has another purpose for coming here, one reason is to study and other is to protect their family heirs. The life in the sect is important for the disciples to grow and learn about the competition in the world, but at same time there would be threats from other families. Xuan Long was the secret guardian for Long family, he guessed there would be secret guardians for other families.He would not interact with any of the long family disciples directly, he may even have to act as their rival. This is just a temporary stop for Xuan Long, he know he is capable of much more and Azure Dragon Sect is not powerful enough for him to dedicate his life for not does Long family.
It was almost mid day when the representatives from the Azure Dragon Sect came there. There were over 1000 peoples who came there, all thousand of them were wearing green,Blue, white and gold color robes. This was the standard uniform for outer sect disciples and leaders. Disciple wear light green robes, while deacons and elders wear dark green robes. Their were badges for further differentiation. Green represent outer sect, while blue represent inner sect disciples, gold represent core disciples, white are the top brass of the sect, only the 53 elders of the sect wear white robes. Sect master, vice sect master and supreme elders are not bound by dress code. All 53 elders are in Golden Body stage.
Qi Gathering, Qi Refining, Qi Solidifying these three are human cultivation stages, their life span is still fixed to 200 years, after Qi Solidifying stage cultivators starts shedding their mortal bodies or they start cultivating their immortal body.
Shedding Mortality, Human Immortal, Immortal Body stage where they embrace the true entrance to immortality. Their life span increases to 500 years and they are free from all mortal bounds, they can regrow their broken limbs and their organs are strengthened beyond limits.
Golden Immortal Body, Golden Earthly Immortal,Heavenly Immortal are the next three stages in the cultivation, it is rumored that people will stop aging once they reach golden immortal body stage, they will look forever young at this stage.
All the elders of the Azure Dragon Sect are in Golden Immortal stage and no one knows the cultivation of the supreme elders of the Azure Dragon Sect, there are rumors that there are heavenly immortals guarding the sect.
True Immortal King, True Immortal Emperor and True Immortal Emperor are the myths and legends that are said to come next after heavenly immortal stage, but Azure dragon Boundary has not seen a heavenly immortal in last 100 years and True immortals are far cry.
There was one elder of the Azure Dragon Sect, along with 10 inner sect elders and 50 elders from the outer sect in this recruitment. All others were deacons from the outer sect.
Xuan Long could see them clearly it is his special ability he got when he reached 7th stage in Qi Gathering stage. All his senses were multiple times better than normal people, can be count as similar cultivation level.
The green robed elder from the outer sect spoke after he got consent from the white robed elder.
"My name is Feng Sha, I am the elder who is responsible for the recruitment this time."
"For all the people gathered here, I assume you are already aware of the rules for this recruitment, we only take disciples who are less than 15 years old, they should have minimum cultivation of 7th stage Qi Gathering stage, and they should have spiritual root of at least 7th Yellow spiritual root. Oh! I forgot to mention people from Black Dragon Sect can leave directly, you will not be able to clear the trial of valley."
Hearing this few disciples started laughing , while few looked at the surroundings , mostly everyone ignored it.
"Deacons will be taking your details and then you will proceed for the valley trial, for the people who are here for trials not meeting the requirement will get their punishments. It can be from slight fine to immediate execution so I will leave it to your choice whether to try to fool us more or get due punishment directly." saying that he indicated for the deacons to get into business. All the deacons of the outer sect are in late Qi Solidifying stage.
Soon all the deacons jumped into air and scattered into the crowd and formed a center in the crowd. Then they removed tables from their storage rings, every one soon understood what they are up to, silently all the disciples who wanted to enter formed a line around the nearest Deacon around them. Xuan Long also entered the line silently. Even disciples from the major families were in line near the deacons respectively, but they have their own order and seniority and hierarchy.
It was soon Xuan Long's turn.
"Name,Age, Origin?"
"Xuan Long, 11 years , Xi province, orphan."
Hearing that Xuan long told he was orphan , the deacon looked at him suspiciously. It was normal for him to be suspicious , how can an orphan cultivate to Qi Refining stage, but he didn't think much into it, if he is a spy from Evil sect then he would be ousted in Azure Dragon Valley.

Xuan Long just nodded his head and walked where all people were gathered who is going to next stage.
