Chapter 12: Wolf Hunter
itI followed the trail for a while through the forest, the tracks were fresh as if the herd and pack had just gone through this morning. After about a half hour I heard goals and whines of different animals fighting. I climbed a tree close to where I was standing so I didn't attract any attention.
*Beep*

'Huh why did Analysis start at lvl 3?' That's the first time anything like that happened before. skills usually start at 1 but this skill didn't.

At that moment I heard the brush beneath the tree being pushed. A moment later a wolf standing about 30 inches tall and a little less than 6 feet long. It looked smaller than the paw prints earlier so I think this is one of the females. I summoned my knives from my inventory and held them ready. The wolf was sniffing the base of the tree looking for something around it. When she got below the branch I was standing in I dropped down and landed on her back I immediately tried to slice the neck but missed the neck and got her face. Thankfully I was still on her back and attempted again with much more success I minute later the wolf finally stopped moving.
*Beep*

'Cool item drop!' I didn't think that this would happen it's too random though I was still excited to learn about it. I climbed back up the tree and climbed my way over to the clearing wear the fight was on going. I arrived and witnessed a half dozen wolves surrounding around ten or so deer one wolf was fighting with a buck keeping each other away from the rest. I watched for several minutes before a plan started to form in my head. I noticed one of the wolves avoiding the fight and mainly just acting as a deterrent around the edges. Whenever the deer came close it would just snap it's jaws and snarl at them but never chased them around.
I started to climb my way over to it being careful to watch the others and not be seen. Every few minutes the system would notify me that one of my skills would increase. I finally reached the area where the wolf was guarding and snapped a branch to attract it's attention and immediately climbed out of sight. The wolf walked through the shrubs at the edge of the clearing and looked around. She lost interest shortly after and that's when I dropped down onto it.

As each wolf started to vanish the deer tried escaping but they were eliminated as well as a source of food for the cabin. Finally the only two left were the buck and alpha male wolf who fought each other without noticing anything around them. I watched for a little while trying to find an opening or a pattern to the attacks to eliminate both at once either one would be dangerous to fight single handedly. After a few minuted they both revealed the pattern I just had to wait for the next attack.
The wolf pounced at the buck and it moved to the left to avoid the attack. I charged at both brandishing my daggers at the exact spot I intended to hit. As the wolf was in mid-air it was impossible to dodge and the bucks vision was blocked by the wolf. The daggers struck home and the animals both fell down and twiched for a few seconds before I put both into my inventory along with the rest.

That's new to see! I checked my inventory and all the deer and wolves I had hunted today were all neatly placed inside and ready to take home. Thats all done time to head back and let everyone know about the fantastic hunt.
*Buzz* My phone started to vibrate in my pocket so I pulled it out from my pants pocket. Looks like I was hunting for about an hour, though it felt shorter since I was focused and had some fun. I then noticed that there were a couple dozen messages from Rex.
- Dont come back yet police are at the cabin looking for you -
- Addy you need to be careful there are dogs looking for you in the woods -
- Let me know you are ok I'm worried they found you! -
Each message was filled with worry so I messaged back and let him know I was fine. I then heard barking and voices yelling to find something. I climbed the nearest tree and began running and jumping between the trees to avoid being spotted. I fled to the north a while before turning west away from the house.
