Preparing
After knowing that I was a natural psychic I slept like a log with squishy pokemon in tow. Next morning, I woke with great energy in my body. I literally feel like I can lift the whole bed up and make the lamp on my desk fly to my hands. And oops, the lamp did fly to me when I opened my hands. Well, I awakened telekinesis for sure. Aurora flew up in air and was happily revolving around me. I feel more connected towards, I guess needing to have a psychic pokemon to awaken psychic powers was true.
Now I have 2 protagonists and psychic powers to protect me from any dangers that might come. Now I need to know if e rank trainers can go outside the city or not. I do my morning rituals and head towards the training grounds. As I already know the type of test I will have to take to gain promotion to D-rank, I train Aurora accordingly.
There are 2 tests that will test whether pokemon listens to my command or not. 1st test is to simply attack a dummy and the second is to pick different colour balls and place them in basket. Final, 3rd, test is to test the pokemon reaction under pressure.
I trained Aurora enough for the three tests but now just to be sure I ask aurora to teleport me back to my room. Instantly we appear on my bed in my room. Aurora does not even sweat to do this. I noticed that except the location change there was nothing. Like nothing. No single feature to notice that has changed. In a sense I thought this will make me a bit dizzy, either me being psychic too was an advantage or aurora was just too good. Later I mentally noted to test the limit. Imagine what if I can teleport between cities I might as well create a transport industry if can carry heavy goods. Without timewasting, I decided to take the promotion exam today.
I go to the training grounds and run a simulation of the test. I repeatedly instructed Aurora on what to do. While going to have my breakfast I meet Sam. Sam seeing me was rather excited, he came running to me.
Sam: yo Phillip! How are doing buddy. Guess what, me polli had a breakthrough in training. Now polli can create 3 set of vibrations. His lowest one works perfectly on rock without breaking it and the highest can instantly turn the rock into dust.
Phillip: Hahaha! I am good brother. That is a great news, did you plan your next course of action.
Sam: What! You said as long as I can make polli not to break the rock we can use it on humans. Of course I thought now we are ready to use our skills and earn money.
Phillip: *Sigh* Listen, first make sure have a specific range of vibrations say 0-10. Vibration-0 has to so gentle that it should just rustle a leaf. Do you know a ground type move called Magnitude?
Sam: Yes
Phillip: Magnitude is move that is said to depend on the tremor frequency a pokemon is able to execute. Uncontrolled form of earthquake move. Try to master it, like, ask polli to use magnitude 1 then he should be doing it magnitude 1 perfectly. Then you can scale down to a new version of vibrations from 0-10 which you will be using on wild pokemon first then a leaf then try use it on humans. I wont mind being your first human experiment.
Sam: that great Phillip. We will try to master it as soon as we can and may be go do missions at the edge of the city in the farm lands and earn some money doing it to.
Phillip: Did you decide on your next pokemon?
Sam: Not yet man. Do you have any suggestions?
Phillips: Well, you are planning to open a shop right? Why not try getting a pokemon which has aromatherapy move. I found a pokemon which leaves can make you relaxed. Interested?
Sam: wow! You are a genius! Why did I not think of it? Imagine people coming to my shop and are relaxed by the sweet aroma then I serve a tea which can make them feel relaxed while they wait for me to start massaging them with polli!
Phillip: Yeah,Yeah. Try to think of these creative stuff. May be also plan the location of your shop. It is not easy to get a shop where pokemon can work.
After discussing about it a little more, I told him I will go to gym and apply for promotion. He was surprised but wished me luck.
I ate my breakfast and made my way to the gym.
