Chapter 6: The Love Consultant
Standing outside the cafe house the next day before meeting the love consultant I was super nervous. Was I doing the right thing or will I look stupid, all these foolish questions were arising in my mind. Suddenly I felt someone's arm around my shoulder. I looked up and found an ugly guy grinning at me from ear to ear.
"How are you this morning senorita?", he asked with a mischievous smile.
I moved away from his embrace and said, "It seems that you have mistaken me for somebody else."
"Are you not the girl who booked the appointment last night?", he asked looking confused.
"Are you a love consultant?"
"Yes, ma'am. I am at your service", he took his hat off and gently bowed to me.
He was a shabby-looking man. He had a long unkempt beard and his eyes were red. His clothes were all old and tacky. He had long disheveled hair on which he wore his hat. Maybe his business was not that good that's why he looked like this. He might be here to make fool of me because looking at him didn't look like he was a smart person.
I followed him into the cafe and after we ordered our drinks he asked me to narrate my story. After he heard my story he asked me, "Do you really like Ezra or is it just an attraction?"
"I do like him. And I want to spend some quality time with him."
"Then go and confess to him the next time you go to the office", he said nonchalantly.
"What!! Just go like that and confess...nothing else. Are you a love consultant? If I had to simply confess to him then I would have done that myself. Why will I come to you for help then?" I asked him angrily. My hunch was correct he is making a fool of me.
"Trust me on this Miss Aria if you want him to like you as well then you have to follow whatever I say. And have patience my methods might be slow but they are effective. If you want my help then you have to listen to me and trust me."
Even after two hours, I was still thinking about the meeting with the love consultant. I had told Janet about what he said and she was also surprised that he told me to simply confess to Ezra. But she also said that what worse can happen if I confess my feelings, at least Ezra will know how I feel about him. By the end of the day, I had made up my mind to confess to Ezra. I wanted to give one chance to the love consultant. If something goes wrong then I will tackle them in the future.
