Chapter 6: Is this what I really am?
Zkun had waited patiently dwelling on the thoughts of those words he heard in his head.
"Take it in three days time under the light of the full moon's light." He had thought what if he didn't take this pill? What would happen would that woman come back and tell him off?
He decided that he wouldn't take any chances he had searched everywhere for any trace of this woman.
But to no prevail it was like she disappeared off the face of the earth.
He wondered what the pill actually was it had glowed brighter then yesterday.
He thought that maybe this pill was going to enhance its effects the closer the day was to the full moon.
Maybe it was just a prank by Argus or someone else.
Yes that's exactly the type of thing he would do, but how did he get that elder woman to get in on the joke.
She was probably a relative of him or something Zkun ensured himself.
They were hanging out and playing cards.
"Hey dude you there?"
"Yeah you've been spaced out for a long time now."
He had just noticed that he payed no attention whatsoever to their game he was in his own world at that moment.
"Say Argus, was that you that played the prank on me?"
"What prank man the one where I put itching powder on your shirt yesterday?"
"What did you just say!"
"Uhm... I meant I put uhhhhhh."
"Never mind that who was that your aunt or something?"
"Uhm... dude what are you talking about?"
Zkun felt like this was a shock to his heart if it wasn't Argus who played the trick does that mean that it was real....or he was going crazy over some pill.
"Mate you good? you're acting very strange today."
"Yeah it's fine it's just that umm..I had a dream last night, that you played a prank on me."
"Oh really what did he do? Put a toilet seat on your heard?"
Jiaya joked, everyone howled with laughter.
"Cmon Zkun it's just a stupid dream man stop acting like such a baby and join in our game."
"Yeah your right it was just a dream, count me in next round."
The group of them pulled an all nighter playing cards and drinking out of all of them Zkun and Ling Shee drank like their life depended on it.
At last in the morning they got ready for school.
Everyone was particularly excited because today they had, chemistry it wasn't that the boys liked the subject.
It was because they could get up close in persona with the hot teacher.
Everyone would agree that Caroline was beautiful she was a foreigner but spoke fluid Chinese and about 3 more languages.
The guys all wanted to be closer than everyone else so they each went into the lab 3 hours early.
Even though they were this early there were still people there even before them this just shows how the men, thought how beautiful Caroline was.
She had graduated from high school with excellent grades she had high expectations from teachers and students that she would be doing something big.Maybe even becoming a model.
And here she is teaching chemistry.Of course the male teacher had no objections whatsoever of her staying here.
They had nothing better to do with their time so they just sat around doing nothing for three hours straight.
Lin Li came in with Xia Li her best friend, just before the bell rang and they sat at the back.
This was usually what happened during Caroline's class, you either come first and sit at the front or come in last and have the farthest away seats.
Every one of the guys looked at her with such fierceness her looks were truly breathtaking.
Once or twice a teacher would look through the windows just to get a glimpse of her.
She taught her lesson well and answered any questions they the students had patiently.
Outside of her classes she was usually very cold towards other people, especially when they tried to ask her out.
Last year a guy had asked her out and even bought her flowers, but she had only left a couple words out of her mouth,"stop wasting my time."
As usual the bell rang signaling the end of the lesson Caroline was packing things up when she suddenly said,"hey you over there come see me in my office,"
Pointing at Jiaya's direction he was about to run as fast as his legs could carry him towards her office.
Seeing his face lit up with happiness she pointed towards Zkun and said,"him not you."
Zkun was surprised, he could feel every one of the guys staring at him him looks of deep loathing.
They would kill just to spend time in her office with this angel sent from the heavens.
Went Zkun went into the office after Caroline she inquired him,"so do you have the pill aunt Xi Xia gave you?"
He thought for a moment and it instantly dawned on him that the pill was under his pillow for safe keepings.
"Uhmm.... yeah I do but how do you know about it?"
"Me? As an inspector it is my duty to see every new person that has the power of wielding magic on my side."
Zkun pauses for a few moments the words she had just said was sinking into his mind.
"Excuse me? I can wield magic..... what is this a joke?"
"As someone like me I can assure you that I am not joking.Said Caroline giving Zkun her most serious stare.
"But no it just can't be true right? I don't have any powers in this world and so doesn't anyone else."
"Let me show you come with me."
In a flash she had covered them in a giant piece of clothing."
Zkun felt fuzzy for a moment as he felt like the world was spinning around them.
He felt his legs standing on solid ground as we looked around him and all he found was a place full of nothing except for a couple of ashes and grass.
"Don't mind that I was just testing something."
Zkun was super confused at this moment in time he had thought he was going crazy from the alcohol yesterday.And this was just a dream, he pinched himself to make sure.
And sure enough it hurt quite a lot.
"You may be confused so to make things easy let me show you what I mean when I saw magic."
And with that he saw the most breathtaking sight ever she had shot out a stream of water from thing air, and had frozen it with ice in the perfect spot for it to create a giant statue of a beautiful glittering phoenix.
"This is magic it can be used in different ways ."
She pulled out something from her sleeve which she pulled out what looked like a small stone.
She threw it on the ground and in the moment it had turned into a mountain.
That mountain was full of everything it even had a water stream coming out of it.
In the blink of an eye she stretched her hand down and touched the floor.
Zkun felt the earth shaking as the ground gave away and the mountain had split in half this left Zkun shocked.
"You might be wondering why am I showing all this to you?"
"It is because that pill aunt Xi Xia gave you isn't a normal pill."
"It's a pill to help with former magic that was in the bloodline that died out to surge through your veins once again."
This left him stunned his legs remain rooted on the ground as thought suddenly filled his head. He imagined himself on the beach while surfing then he had made the water from the ocean go up forming words "I love you". To someone.
"Wait so you're saying my mom and dad are magic wielders?"
"I'm not a hundred percent sure but from what I can tell one of your grandparents was a demon that had powers rivaling even the best of others."
"Wait? Which one of mine if you're talking about grandpa Chou he died a long time ago".
He had thought back to the memories of his grandpa he had missed him so much.How he had read him bed time stories when he was a kid.
"So technically you have demon blood in you so you're basically half demon."
"So what you're saying is that I could do these things that you could do as well?"
"Yes with some training you could probably surpass my powers."
"Then why have I not been able to use them all these times?"
"It's because as you can see you being half demon has a bit of an impact on this because no half demon anywhere has been able to wield magic."
"Most just use a weapon or rely on their physical strength."
"But aunt Xi Xia thought you were different she could see that you would be powerful as to both magic and physical strengths."
"So I'm a demon? But what is that pill for then?"
"Ah yes that pill will help your body release the full power of the arcane magic."
"Arcane?"
"The arcane is the most strongest type of magic it is top tier, no other can rival powers of the arcane."
"These people that use the arcane must undergo through very harsh training conditions, it will strengthen your body and magic that lies in your blood."
If the your parents had demon blood awoken in them you would have been known as Zkun the devils war cry.
