Chapter 14: Japan
Shanaia Aira's Point of View
" What is it Gelo? Please repeat what you said!" I don't know if I heard it right, his voice is a bit low, I don't want to assume.
" Don't bother about it, don't think about what I've just said.I'm sorry baby,I'm so stupid to say those words to you.It's not proper and I don't wanna ruin our friendship." he seriously said.
I stared at him intently then stroke his face gently.
" Okay I understand. Maybe you screw up your brain so you're spouting non sense. Maybe I should take you to Mang Damian the herbalist if you got possessed there." I smiled broadly just to lighten the mood.In fact, I regret that he took back what I heard. If that's exactly what I heard. But that's right, that's not the case between the two of us.
He laughed but didn't seem to reach his eyes.
" If other relationship doesn't have forever, for me the friendship we have will lasts forever. You know baby, If there is one person that I want to grow old with, that's definitely you. Do not change, I will not change. And whatever happens, I hope you will stay. "
I just nodded while just looking at him.
He also looked at me. We can understand each other through those looks. Gelo and I got along pretty much on everything, and if there's one person I would want to stay with me forever, that would definitely be Gelo.
It is difficult without him in my life and I can't bear to see him paying attention to other girls aside from me.
I'm not selfish, I'm just used to being his priority.
"Yes Gelo I will stay with you." that's all and I hugged him tightly. He hugged me and kissed me on the head.
" Me too baby, I'll do the same. "

A FEW more days passed after that conversation with Gelo, we became even more closer and it seems that we are both afraid of losing each other. That's exactly how it is, when you get used to someone it is hard to live without them by your side. And because of that, I finally realized my feelings for Gelo, that feeling I could not name, now I'm sure of.
I love Gelo more than a friend. I maybe in denial then but when I analyzed myself, I confirmed it. Often when he was just around, my heart was pounding so hard, and I know it's not normal. I thought I had a heart attack before.
No, it's not. I just fell and I fell so hard.With my own bestfriend.
And now,I'm afraid to show my true feelings for him, it might ruin our friendship and I don't want that to happen.And one more thing, I promised myself that I would never enter into a romantic relationship with an actor.
" Baby, do you think Uncle Adrian will allow you to be with us on our Christmas vacation in Japan? Because Arienne and Aunt Sylvia's shooting location was there for their new movie together. The family thought to have a family vacation as well . If you wouldn't go with us I would rather stay here with you, I wouldn't have been happy without you. " Gelo suddenly butt in so I was cut off thinking.
" What are you Gelo? that's a family vacation and rarely happens then you want me to be with you, its a family gathering, right? " I asked while laughing.
" Why? You're like a family to me. Didn't you have a family vacation to the US to be with Shane before and you took me with you? Am I not a family to you? Shanaia Aira you're so annoying. " he frowned and take note, now that he just mentioned my name in full, meaning he's really annoyed.
" Oh there you go again! why not ask for my daddy's permission? Let's see if your being cute will convince him. " I kidded him.
" Okay just wait and see." he said and wink at me.
" Uncle? Uncle Adrian?! " he yells.
My goodness! This guy is really stubborn.
But I hope my dad will allow me to be with them because I don't want him not to be with his family on their vacation. It rarely happens in their family and I don't wanna ruin that moment of him with them. And besides, I like Japan because I love Sanrio and cherry blossoms and..and... a moment with Gelo in that romantic place
There you go again Aira, you're so mischievous!
" Yes! yes! " a happy Gelo ran back to me in my couch in the living room. He hugged me while laughing.
" Wait a minute! Just fix yourself first." I said.
" I told you, they agreed with me to take you to Japan! Yes! Thank you Lord! " he's yelling like crazy while he hugged me tight.
"Really! I'll pack some of my clothes.When are we leaving? "I asked excitedly.
"Next week, we will arrange your passport, and before Christmas eve we will return here."
The next week was fast, so Gelo and I are now boarding the plane with his family, movie casts and several production staffs to Japan. My family had even taken us to the airport. It's my first time being out of the country without them. They gave me money because I had a lot of stuffs I wanted to buy. They have a lot of requests too especially Andrew, he even had the size of a foot and a picture of the rubber shoes that he wants me to buy for him.
So far, the travel is okay.Gelo and I sat side by side on the plane. Our flight was at night so we just slept the whole way.
It's almost dawn when we get to the house where we stay for more than a week.
Gelo and I were in the same room with Arienne. The room has three single beds and has built-in closets. There is also a flat tv located on one side of the room.Not bad, the three of us love movie marathons.
Since it was still dark outside, Gelo and I had to lie down on a bed.
Arienne is in her bed and reading the script.
Gelo and I squeeze tight together in one single bed. I don't know about this foolish guy. He has his own bed and yet he's here lying down with me.
" Hey Angelo, you have your own bed why are you squeezing with baby girl? You have to get out of her bed so she can rest well. "Arienne said to him.
" Sister, it's cold and besides I'm used to being around her. " he lazily answered.
" Tsk! That's the reason why baby girl doesn't have a boyfriend yet, you're always clinging to her. You're so possessive! " Arienne annoyingly said.
" Sister, I wish you could just read your script there and leave us here.Later you will be able to film and you will need to master those lines. " Gelo said, a little bit annoyed to her sister.
Okay! Whatever! " Arianne smiled at Gelo who is very annoyed at her.
They started filming after lunch. The movie cast and crews were busy so we who were not involved, took a walk.
We had the pleasure of going to Disneyland first, so that was our first destination.After that we just left for a walk.
Every day Gelo and I would go everywhere. We both liked this place so much that we never got tired of roaming around the place. We are also buying a lot of things for our family and friends.I even bought the shoes that Andrew wants. And because we enjoy so much, we don't even know that we're going to be home for two days.
"You know baby, when I had a girlfriend, I will brought her here for our first anniversary. When I'm married, we will be here for our honeymoon. I really love this place, very nice and romantic." Gelo said as he sketched the view we were looking at. We sat on a wooden bench in a park.
I lowered the book I was reading and looked at him.
He was leaning against my side and almost lying down while drawing on his
sketch pad.
"Of course, I like it here too. It's relaxing to look at the cherry blossoms with the cleanliness of the place. I'd like to come back here someday." I said.
" Yeah someday." he looks into my eyes intensely when he said that.
Oh my! He's like being possessed again.
" Are you not done yet? Let's go back home, let's fix our things for our early flight tomorrow. " I cried out to get rid of the tension in between us because of his intense stare.
" Okay I'm done.Let's go. " He said. He held my hand and we held hands as we walked our way to the house.

It was the day before Christmas eve when I got home. Andrew fetched me from the airport while Gelo was fetched by their driver.
Exactly noche buena when he called to greet me Merry Christmas. He said that we will meet again after New Year because they were at his daddy's farm that he bought in Batangas. He wanted to take me there but I said, maybe I wouldn't be allowed because we just came back from Japan.
It was boring the following days without Gelo.I miss him so much. I can't call him because there is no signal in the area. So this year we didn't greet each other because we didn't have any means of communication but I bought a gift for him and I'll just give it to him when he comes back.
The next morning, I woke up late. We were all awake until dawn because we communicate with Shane through Skype. The longer we talked with them, the more we missed Dindin who was so talkative.She didn't want to end the conversation even though we are very sleepy.
I took a bath and changed clothes.It's just fine that I'm early.Venice, Charlotte and I talked about going to the mall because they had to buy something.
I have nothing to do here in the house and Gelo wasn't around so I decided to go with them and have fun. After I got dressed I said goodbye to Dad and Mang Simon took me to the nearby mall where I'm going to meet my friends.
When the two finished shopping, they invited me to have coffee at Starbucks.While we were waiting for our orders, someone suddenly came beside me.
"Hi! Aira, good to see you here.What's up?"
I slowly glance at someone who spoke beside me.
