Chapter 12: KISS

Gelo texted Mang Simon since their party is nearing its end, and Mang Simon has already agreed. I told daddy that I want to go with Mang Simon to fetch Gelo. And luckily, he allowed me.
We just got to school in no time because there is no traffic, it was almost 12 midnight.
We went straight to the parking lot and we just had to wait for Gelo.
After waiting for a few minutes, there's still no sign of Gelo, so Mang Simon had told me to come out for a moment to buy a coffee at the nearby coffee shop.
I was left alone in the car just listening to the music from the car stereo.
A while later I noticed that Gelo was coming but he wasn't alone. He was with Keithlin who's arm was twined in Gelo's arm and her boobsie is almost touching his arm.
I saw Keithlin suddenly pushed Gelo in one of a parked car and violently kissed him on the lips.
Gelo seemed surprised.
I was shocked too, I just wanted to get out of the car and stop them but I was as if nailed to my seat.
I was like an idiot watching them but I'm about to burst into annoyance at what I had witnessed.
When Gelo was still not in motion, Keithlin put her hands on his waist and she was relentlessly clenching Gelo's chest as she kiss him. Gelo seems not able to withstand it, so he just let the temptation enslave him, and responded whole heartedly to her kisses.
I can no longer withstand what Keithlin is doing with my best friend so I got out of the car and slammed shut the door.It creates a loud noise so they stopped doing what they were doing and looked at the source of the noise.
The shock on Keithlin's face registered while Gelo on the other hand is like a kid caught in the act of his mother doing crazy things along the way. So epic.
I took a deep breath before speaking, making sure that my voice was not shaken by the frustration.
" Gelo let's go home, it's getting late." I turned around and went back to the car.
I sat quietly in the car while I waited for Gelo and Mang Simon.
I looked out of the window and saw Keithlin and Gelo talking as if he were saying goodbye to her.
Keithlin rubbed his cheek again, giving him a quick kiss on the lips before turning around and going to her own car.
He walked his way where our car was parked.
He is quiet when he sits beside me. He's just staring at me and breathed deeply.
Problem with this guy? Why is our situation so awkward?
Is he embarrassed that I caught him ... kissing that Keithlin?
Why can't I say it right what they did in that parking lot?
So annoying!
" B-baby uhm, a-about that uhm .." he can't find the right words to say.
" Fix it Gelo why are you stuttering there! I don't understand you with those uhm. " I glared at him.
" Ah.. it's just because it's not good for you to witness that kind of scene, you're young and innocent and I don't want to pollute your mind. "
" Hahaha .. Seriously, Gelo? I'm already sixteen, do you think I don't know those things yet?" You're only three years older than me Ariel Angelo, if you're not that innocent and so am I. I have never had that kind of experience and will only give my first kiss to the person I know I would marry someday. Maybe we are not the same with that because you tasted a lot of lips and you have no rule in your life like mine." I chuckled as I spoke.
" You're so mean to me baby. Keithlin is just my second kiss. "
" Second kiss? and who is the first one? You don't even mention that to me because you never had a girlfriend. You're so keen Gelo! No girlfriend and yet you already kissed two girls. Wow, you're really different my friend! "
"It's my secret and she's the one I want to marry because she's my first kiss." he smiled broadly at me.
" You copy cat. I'm still annoyed! I told you not to flirt with Keithlin."
" She was the first who made a move. I'm only human. So fragile. You didn't came right on time so she wouldn't have the chance to tempt me."
" So is it my fault now? If you're really sincere about what you promised me before, even if that Keithlin is still unfolding in front of you, you won't be moved.But you're so flirtatious. The real mischievous one!" I said. I'm so annoyed.
" I'm sorry baby. " he apologized.
" Hmp! Stop right there Ariel Angelo Montero. You're a one and a half flirty! "
We both stayed quiet and started our silent war again until Mang Simon arrived and we returned home.
When we got home I went straight to my room to bathe. I could feel him following behind me until we entered my room.
When I got to the bathroom he sat in my bed as he removed his necktie.
Hmp .. He can do whatever he like, I'm still disgusted to him.
I was already wearing my pajamas when I got out of the bathroom. He just stared at me, following my every move.
I took his pajamas out of my closet and quietly handed it to him.
He's also quiet when he took it from me and immediately went to the bathroom.
I lay down on my bed after praying. I shut my eyes tightly. I want to sleep. I was disappointed that I couldn't understand. If only I knew this was going to happen I would never have suggested to him to asked Keithlin to be his partner.
I don't know why I felt like my heart is aching once again a while ago. I'm not even sure how I really feel with my bestfriend . I just feel hurt when another woman approaches him.
Maybe it's natural because I'm so accustomed to his attention for me. Well, he is like that too, when someone wants to court me, sometimes they just stared at me, Gelo is like a dragon ready to burst into flames anytime.
I'm confused about how I feel, is it still a friendly feeling or something else?
I was stuck with my thoughts when I felt the bed go down on the other side as Gelo lay down. I don't want to open my eyes, and let him think I'm asleep.
"Baby goodnight." that was all and he was quiet. Maybe, just maybe he was tired of dancing with Keithlin.
I slowly turned to his side to see if he was already asleep. He was still awake pouting his lips while looking at me.
Hmp. He's being cute again so that I will notice him!
I just stared at him. I don't want to talk to him. I'm in a beast mode.
He pulled me to him and hugged me.
" You're being childish . Don't tell me we're on a silent war again? we just reconcile a while ago. I'm sorry okay? I won't flirt again with Keitlin or to any other girls that you don't like for me. " I smiled at what he said but he couldn't see because my face was on his chest.
I looked up at him." Promise? "
He didn't budge nor utter any word.
" See? you can't answer because you can't stand at what you are saying. "
" Yes! Yes! " he said squeezing my nose.
" Hmp. It goes out from your nose. You're just forced to say it!"
" No! So how can I avoid Keithlin if I see her at school all the time? " he asked.
" Why did you say that you will never flirt with her if you will not be able to avoid her? It is impossible for you not to get carried away if she's the first one who comes closer to you. You are some kind of a weak creature. And Gelo, even if you will tie that little monster of yours down there, if it wants to stray, it will going to stray ."
" Baby! How serious are you in saying that?" he was dumbfounded at what I said.
" You're acting like you're a virgin! You've been kissed twice, and you haven't had a girlfriend yet. Isn't it amazing? "
" Hey baby, even it's embarrassing to admit but I'm still a virgin. Even if you say I'm a weak spirit, I'm reserving it to my soon to be bride. So don't be like that, stop saying non sense."
" Alright. That's enough! I just don't like Keithlin for you. Period!"
" Alright, let's go to sleep! You'll be with me tomorrow at home, its sister's birthday, daddy's coming so we are complete as a family. And so are my cousins. "
" Don't you think your guests are all celebrity artists?"
" Maybe some of them. It's really like that, we're all artists in the family. What's important is, we are both there to attend so my sister won't get mad at us."
" Okay, let's just get her a gift before we go to your house."
" Yeah! goodnight baby. "
" It's morning already. Have a nice morning bestfriend. "
He just laughed. He hugged me again and kissed me on the top of my head.
Oh my! My best friend is really a sweet guy.
