Chapter 11: Undeniably Jealous
Shanaia Aira's Point of View
We left US two days before the start of the second semester.It was a bit sad that we were going to miss them especially Dindin. She was crying and wants to go with us when we were at the airport. After a month they will be home, after Gerald's graduation.
Gelo's schedule remains the same this second semester so he could deliver me and fetch me from school.
How can he get close to his special someone if I'm still the one whom he prioritized?
But I didn't want to ask him anything more, I don't want him to think that I'm throwing him away for the sake of my love life. Since that day he showed me the song he wrote, we never talked about it again. I didn't ask again, because it seemed like there's a little pain in my heart. And I'm still unsure of how I really feel about Gelo, am I jealous because I don't want him to spend time with other girls or because I'm in love with him?
I don't know because I have no experience with such things.
Whoever is that special someone Gelo is talking about, I guess she's so lucky. Gelo is not only handsome, he is also a good person and very sweet.
And not only that, he is also oozing with sex appeal and hotness overload.
There is this one time when he took off his shirt when I accompanied him to the gym. My goodness! in my sixteen years of existence, I felt so heated and it's because of Gelo, my best friend.
So creepy.
" Hey! You're spacing out again. What were you thinking? I'm asking you a while ago, what color of neck tie that can perfectly match this suit we bought?" Gelo's voice brought me back to present. We're here at the mall to buy him a formal attire for his acquaintance party.
" Huh! I'm sorry, I just thought of something. Yeah, that one you're holding, it matches well with your suit. " I told him pointing at the tie he was holding. It's a combination of gray and blue.
" Alright. Let's pay for this so we can have our pizza." he hold my hand and walk our way to the cashier. The cashier and her assistant recognized Gelo. They asked for a picture with him and his autograph.
We went to a pizza house after buying everything he needed. As usual, people inside the pizza house are looking at my actor friend. People easily recognized him now.
Gelo smiled and waved at them. We ordered our favorite pepperoni pizza and a pitcher of ice tea. It was exactly that we received our orders when a group of ladies entered the pizza house. Because they were so noisy, we suddenly turned our heads on them. One of the ladies approached us quickly when she saw us.
" Oh my gosh Gelo, you're here!" she snapped as she held Gelo's arm.
" Oh hi Keithlin! Long time no see." Gelo greeted her.
" Yeah, I just shifted to another course, it was my dad who forced me to take Architecture " she said pouting her lips while massaging Gelo's arm.
So irritating!
" I see, come and eat. " Gelo offered.
" No thanks! they're already ordering." she pointed at her companions on the counter.
" By the way this is Shanaia Aira Gallardo. And Aira this is Keithlin, my classmate last sem." Gelo introduced us. I just said hi then proceed eating my food.
" Is she your girlfriend? " I heard Keithlin asked.
" No,I don't have one.She's my bestfriend. She is Shane Gallardo's sister. " Gelo replied.
" Really? You're single? The promising actor Ariel Angelo Montero is single? how come? " she asked surprised. Her high pitch tone is making me irritated. She never cared what Gelo said a while ago that I'm the sister of the award winning actress Shane Gallardo.
" Not in my list of priorities." Gelo shrugged . Nice one! So that she will distance herself to Gelo. She's no match with Gelo. Well, she's beautiful and sexy but not the kind who can easily attracts Gelo.
" I see. Alright, I'll go ahead.Bye Gelo,nice meeting you Shanaia." she waved at us. I just smiled at her.
"She's sexy and beautiful." I whispered to him.
" And what's your point there, baby?" he asked smiling. Amusement was evident in his eyes.
" Nothing. I just thought you'll like her."
" Oh no! There you are again. Just finish your food and were going to watch a movie, right?" he said while laughing then he pinched my nose.
" Are you sure you'll watch? You might sleep again if you don't like the movie I chose. "
" Okay, promise I won't be able to sleep anymore. Don't choose a heavy drama movie I might fall asleep again. "
" Yes, father!" I kidded.

" Gelo, can I borrow your hankie. I can't control my tears. "
" Tss..I told you so. You told me earlier that this is not a tearful movie, but it seems like my shirt is not enough to dry up your tears. "he said annoyed. I just don't know that there's a part in this movie that is tearful.
" I'm sorry. I won't cry again, promise. Let's just watch. " I said as he wiped my tears.
In the middle of the movie, I noticed that Gelo was seriously watching.
The story is about best friends who have a secret love for each other but are afraid to reveal it to each other.
Until they both had a serious relationship with others but they both failed.
It also took them a few years before they realized how they felt about each other.
What does Gelo think about this? I wish we won't reached this point. Our friendship is the most important to us.
That's why, as much as possible we don't do things that will ruin our good relationship as friends.
All of a sudden, I felt Gelo dragging me to his chest and kissing me on the head.
" The story is great, there's a moral lesson in it." he whispered on my ear.
" Yeah,I told you so."
" So if you like me you don't have to be ashamed to admit that, so that you never reach the point like what happened to the lead actress." he jokes that I blushed right away. It's a good thing it's so dark inside the cinema and he can't notice it.
" Damn it! You fool! Maybe it's you who will be the same as the lead actor, he got involved to plenty of women . " I kidded too.
" Hahaha. That can do. " he said while laughing. So he has a plan? No way!
" Alright, let's just watch and the movie will be finished in a few minutes." I said.
It was almost dark outside when we left the cinema. We were in a hurry to get to the parking lot so we could make it to dinner at home. It's a good thing Gelo was good at driving and knew some shortcuts to avoid traffic, so the dinner was just about to start when we arrived.
"Kids you're just in time." said dad.
" It's because Gelo is a good driver, dad. "I said.
" Did you buy everything you need at your acquaintance party Gelo? "
mom asked.
" Yes, auntie we bought all that I need, baby was the one who made the choice. " he smiled at mommy.
" Back in my college days, it is a requirement to bring a partner when you're going to attend to that kind of school event. Who's your date for that night Gelo? "asked Andrew.
" I don't have a partner yet. If they would just allow an outsider, I'll bring baby with me but outsiders are not allowed and it's the school's policy. " he answered.
" Why don't you ask one of your classmates? "dad asked.
" Actually uncle I was thinking about that, but it looks like they already have a partner. "
" Why not asked that Keithlin, I'm sure she'll agree with you. "
" Do you think she will?" he asked me.
" Yeah. It's obvious that she likes you."
" Okay I'll ask her tomorrow. " he said without further ado.
Goodness! He didn't have a second thought about my suggestion. That Keithlin is pretty and sexy that's why he immediately follow my suggestion even without thinking.
Gosh! why do I even suggest that? Wrong move Shanaia Aira, and now you are pissed.
After dinner Gelo said to dad that he was going home. I went to my room because I was annoyed.
"Baby I'm going home. Goodnight." he just peek in the door of my room and he didn't come in.
" "Alright. Just go home." I replied then I lay down on my bed and turned my back on him.
"Hey you look pissed. What happened?" He pulled me over the shoulder to face him.
" It's nothing Gelo, I'm sleepy. Go home. "
" I know you baby. I know when you're in a bad mood. Do we have a problem?" he asked.
" I said it's nothing. Just go home. Shoo! "
" You're unpredictable. It's up to you there! " he said irritably. He walk out of my room without even taming me.
The next morning Gelo fetched me from our house and brought me to school even though we had a misunderstanding last night when he left. We talked while going to school but it was just one word.He fetched me that afternoon, but he just took me home then he came home immediately and didn't have dinner with us.
I just let it go, I'm still annoyed.
He called me before I went to bed just to say goodnight and then he dropped his call immediately. He's still sulking but I'm not in the mood to tame him yet!
Gelo and I continue to be like that for days, we have a silent war until their acquaintance party came.
Gelo drop by our house to asked for Mang Simon to be his driver. No one is allowed to bring their own car, it was a school policy and I didn't bother to ask the reason.
He went to my room with his necktie in his hand. I was lying on my bed watching TV.
" Can you put this necktie on me because I don't know how to put it? "he requested. I got up. I took what he got and faced him.
As I put the tie down I didn't look at him.I can even smell his scent which is my favorite scent.
When I finished he spoke.
" Baby please forgive me even though I don't know what you're angry about." he said with his puppy eyes.
" I'm not angry at all." I stammered."
" Oh really? We've had a silent war for a few days. I just let you, it may only get worse with your annoyance.But I miss you so much, my world has been so quiet lately, I'm not used to it. "
I hold my smile as I faced him. He's so handsome. He was wearing a dark gray suit with a light blue long sleeves.
" It's alright. Silent war is over. But don't be mischievous with that Keithlin girl. I don't want her for you." I said as I arched my brow.
"Okay then I will remember your order. Mother! "He joked.
" You fool! Alright, hurry up you might be late." I just shoo him away.
He smiled and hugged me.
" I'll sleep here later, I'm lazy to drive home I might fall asleep."
I just nodded. And he rushed out of my room.
