Chapter 10: The Boogeyman Vs Undead ninja
Nobu POV:
It had been half a day since they made the word got out. They already sent squad after squad of ninjas hoping to ambush the two. All attempt proved to be futile though. The two warriors always see them coming and sending in more squad only amounted to pile up more bodies of our men.
Indeed warrior they are, though very young, they achieved more than I could accomplish in 1st hundred years of my life. The sheer conviction and will power they showed, towered over anything I have seen over my long life.
My superiors of the Hand even thought they may be originated from K'un-Lun and with the Chaste as the army of the immortal Iron Fist. But their conduct overtime proved to be too ruthless and too compassionate at the same time. The Chaste would never go out of its way to help others, they exist only to destroy hand as the army of Iron Fist. At the same time, they would mainly target to cut off the "fingers" along with their close associates, they would not waste their time with small fries. That assured the fingers that the K'un-Lun has yet to make a solid move against them.
The only reason the finger took this long to make a decision is, no one wants to make a move and show their hand. Lastly, I have been assigned to deal with the young warriors. Strong as they may, they are young, impulsive, compassionate. It is high time they learned, there is no place for petty emotion in war. You can never save everyone no matter how strong you are.

It was an empty three-story building at the edge of China Town, I was sitting at the centre of a large room, hanging a single light bulb over my head, clad in my ninja outfit. A metallic voice from the dark corner speaks in Japanese.
-Your reputation precedes you, Nobu Yoshioka. To detect us even before we entered the room. That said, it is not a wise choice to invite a couple of boogeymen at your doorstep.
-You are still young, brave warrior, your killing intent was screaming at me. Even a genin would notice. Not to mention a xonin like me. That said, you guys knew this was a trap, yet you came. Aren't you becoming overconfident in your ability?
I answered. Just as I finished from a different corner a knife flew towards my head with incredible speed. As I barely dodged, a punch aimed at my chest came in. I was no position to dodge as my balance was off, I blocked it with my hands crossed. When the punch hit, it felt like I have been hit with a war hammer as I flew to the wall. Some of the force even reached my chest.
- It looks like you decided to unleash your true strength from the start. Good decision. Looks like you are not so naive after all. But still, why don't you tell your comrade to come down and dance with me.
I said to the warrior taking a stance which is unfamiliar to me. He said with a straight voice as if it was a matter of fact,
-I would more than enough for the likes of you.
So our exchange began. His moves were efficient deadly, not a style I saw before, it was more like a fusion between Muay Thai and Krav Maga which is recently developed as a deadly mean to use one's hands, feet and joints of limbs with deadly force with minimal movement. But his moves were a thousand times more refined. It was not a matter of experience but a clearly superior style.
He continued to punch, kick, elbow, knee me at a speed which should not be attainable by normal human means. That is too in so coordinated that even for me, I could only avoid every 5 or 7 moves before taking a hit. I was at a total disadvantage. No matter how strong my body has become, it still fell short in front of this gifted child. If not I had had a blessed body from the Hand which is stronger, faster, far more resilient than a normal human can ever hope to achieve, the warrior in front of me, would have broken me into pieces a long time ago.
After who knows after how long, maybe after centuries, I again felt what it is felt like to be in total despair. I couldn't even maintain distance to use my kusarigama to whittle down my opponent from distance. He disarmed my sword in just 4 moves, and hadn't even bothered to use it against me, even he got the chance. This is the first time I faced such a situation after I advanced to this level. My opponent looking down on me.
The word he said earlier wasn't a boast at all. He indeed is more than enough for likes of me.
For the 15th time, he landed a kick on my body sending me through the wall. I coughed out blood due to internal injury. I got up with the struggle, my body has started to fall apart against his heavy hits.
-You are indeed a warrior worthy of receiving my respect, what may I call you?
-I don't care about the respect of likes who feeds off other people's lives. Boogeyman is a justified name of me for you.
-As you wish, Boogeyman. But you don't realize one thing, we don't feed of lives of others. We feed on endless desire, hunger and corruption human heart harbours. And we desire to cleanse the world of such things.
-By spreading more crime? Give me a break, I am not stupid. Your brainwashing sweet talk won't work on me.
-*Softly laughs* You may be not naive, but you are still inexperience. You don't realize, we, people with power, fighting an eternal war and this war most of the time don't give us the luxury of choice you think you have. It is time for you to realize that.
-What do you mean?
Just as he asked that I sent a flare signal through the open roof glass shade and receiving the signal, my men did their job. 3 direction from our position 3 different blasts occurred with deafening sound in China town, engulfing 3 different part of the area with wild flames.
