Chapter 8: 8| 3 A.M.
3 A.M.
My heart sinks most during the lonely minutes of 3 A.M. It is when my lungs are filled with waves and I can't breathe. It is when I hear echoes of my downfalls and lapses. It is when I'm submerged with tears of my own failure and disappointments. It is when I am most vulnerable, and weak, and helpless.
But these 3 A.M. drownings always bring me to the idea that these waters are yet to calm, because a few hours later, the morning sun will come again.
-My 3 A.M. floods are my reminder that I have to let myself be dry before I try once more.
