Chapter 1: Chapter 1
"Hy Jessy, do you know what??? Do you know what???" Grace comes running and shouts. "Don't disturb me, Joe. I have to finish this chapter" I say and ignore her. I call her Joe, because Joe was her first crush and Grace loved him head over heels until she got to know that Joe was a gay.
I don't care about crush, love and anything. I never concentrated on this. Because my one and only dream is to get into Landon University after my schooling. I am working for this from the beginning. Beginning in the sense, from my 6th grade. Because I live in India. There are lot of difference between what I learn here in India and what students learn in London. I don't know whether there gonna be any difference or not. But that is what I felt.
"Why don't you listen to me for just a second?" She says and grabs my book from my hand. "What is the problem now?" I ask irritated. I know there is nothing gonna be serious about it. "Aaron broke up with his girlfriend." She says and giggles. "Who is Aaron?" I ask confused. I don't have a bit of idea who it is. "You don't know Aaron??" She asks like I forgot my name. "No" I say as I start packing my bag. I know she will never allow me to study after this.
"I told you about him many times." She says irritated. "You talk about so many boys. How can I even remember who is Aaron?" I say as matter of fact and start walk away from her. "Aaron is a famous pop singer, you dummy." She says and drags me by my right arm. "So what Joe? What do you wanna do after a famous pop singer broke up with his girlfriend? Do you wanna be his girl?" I ask. I am losing my patience with this girl now.
"Oh, how great will it be, if I am his girlfriend?" She says and giggles. "Hmm. Just make sure, he is not a gay before dreaming about being his girlfriend." I say and walk away. "How can you ever say that? What do you know about Aaron woods? Do you know how hot he is?" She shouts to my back. I am totally disturbed now. I turn towards her and show my middle finger to her. I get out from library.
I reach home when mom and dad are discussing about my higher studies. If they don't have any topic to discuss, they talk about me and my studies. My entire life is planned out already. I am 18 years old kid now. I will finish my school in 3 months and after that I will do my graduation in London. After that I will take over my dad's business. I will get married when I am 25 and I will have to have 2 kids before 28.
This is my future perfectly planned by my mum and dad. I love it because this is how I want it to be. "You came, we are discussing about you" Lydia says as she opens her arm for a hug. I run into her arms and hugged her tightly. My mother is a sweet person. I love her so much. When I was a kid, I used to fall sick frequently. She left her career and dream everything to take care of me. "Won't you hug me then?" John asks me with a sad face. "Don't show that face dad" I say and run to him. I hug my dad and kiss his cheeks. "I love you Dad." I say and sit beside him. "How was your school today?" He asks as he takes a glass and water bottle from a table beside sofa and pours a glass of water for me. I gives the glass to me and looks at me.
"Not bad dad. But It's almost end of school. So I have so much to do." I say tiredly. "I know right. You can work with Grace to finish all your work right?" He says. "If she doesn't disturb, I will finish all my work very soon" I sigh. "Why is that?" My mum asks. "Today I was doing my integral calculus chapter. She came and spoiled my entire calculus mood, just because Aaron woods broke up with his girlfriend." I say and lay down lazily on the sofa.
"Who is that?" My mum asks curiously. "I don't know mom. She said he is some singer or something. I don't know." I say and get up. "I will finish my calculus chapters mom. Can you please give me a cup of coffee?" I ask her. "Sure dear. You go and get fresh up. I will give you." She says and walks into kitchen.
"Bye dad. Meet you at dinner." I say as I run inside my room. I get freshen up first and took my math book. I start solving all the problems. My mom brings coffee and gives me. "Thanks mom" I say and start solving all the problems again.
The next day, I go to school. "Hy Joe, Good morning. What are you doing?" I ask her and sit next to her. "I don't want to talk to you." she says and gets up from her seat. "Why?" I ask confused. "You ask why? You call my Aaron gay and now you are asking why?" She says angrily. I stare at her for brief 3 seconds before I start laughing. I held my stomach to ease the pain. I am laughing like maniac now. "Don't laugh you dummy." She shouted at her highest volume and storms out of the classroom.
I don't know what I am going to do with this silly girl. Everyone in my class thinking about their career when she is thinking about some singer who doesn't even know her existence. I don't understand the concept of being a fan to someone.
