Chapter 2: Screening?
May 4, 2021. In the middle of the night a sort of pressure crashed down onto every human on earth. As if an invisible hand grabbed your body and squeezed lightly. Waking up from my sleep in a panic I tried to get to my feet only to find myself frozen in a catatonic state. Freaking out I attempt to scream only to release a low gurgle as noise attempts to escape my mouth.
Panic overtakes me as tears well in my eyes. Not knowing what to do I just involuntarily lay motionless, staring at the ceiling in my room. A sort of terror comes over me knowing just how helpless I am right now. Thinking about what the hell I should do something... peculiar happens.
A bright blue box appears in my vision containing words.
[ "Hello people of sector 196 quadrant 3 of the 2nd cycle, self identified earthlings.
Apologies for any inconveniences that may be experienced during primary planetary screening process. Screening will be over shortly, the council appreciates your patience." ]
What the hell, I think to myself. This blue box in front of just remains there floating even after I read it. At this point I have somewhat calmed myself down. I re-read the message another two times and the content remains the same.
OK, so what I am gathering from this situation is that what I am assume are aliens are doing something that they consider "screening" and this causes freezes me from moving... That's about it.
There is not really much I can do about this but sit here and wait. While I am thinking this the blue box in front of me continues to float there. Its' presence begins to annoy me. As I think that the blue box mysteriously vanishes.
You know what I am done thinking, this whole situation is just too ridiculous for me I think to myself.
About five minutes of me staring at the ceiling later two new blue boxes pops into existence in front of my face.
The first blue box reads
[ Hello earthlings, thank you for your patience. Mana saturation of Planet "Earth" has reached suitable readings. According to Council Law Section 54, Sub-section 2 of intergalactic Laws "Earth" is now under the Central waves proximity and can now host eldritch beings. Direct to Central Waves notification." ]
After reading and not understanding the first blue box I read the second blue box.
The second blue box reads.
[ Primary planetary screening complete.
Results found:
Low ambient energy reading
Low eldritch core energy
Low previously displayed ability by resident inhabitants.
High grade ore detected
High grade source material detected
High grade awakened element detected
Secondary screening required for further annaylsis
Permission Granted ]
As if timing itself with when I finish reading the second box, the pressure engulfing my body suddenly triples. Now instead of a giant gently squeezing my body, it feels as if someone dropped a truck onto me. Not only does the pressure increase it also starts to grind on me. Imagine yourself being dragged across a carpet made of sandpaper and that is about what I would imagine it feels like. After another twenty minutes of my body being rubbed and pressed down by the invisable force another notification pops up.

While the other notifications I recieved don't make much sense, this one takes the cake I think to myself as I lay there motionless on my bed. The notications remain hanging there in space as I watch them. Previously they vanished when I wanted them to so maybe they are connected by through or something like that? Testing my theory I imagine the notications vanishing and just like that "poof" gone. That answers that question.
I still am not entirely sure if im going crazy and this is all in my head or if this is real and some all powerful being is doing something called a screening.
Either way the situation is getting weirder by the second.
Another blue box notification appears in front of my face.
[ People of earth I am happy to inform you that the place you call home is an extremely valuable commodity even amogst the expanse of the universe.
Being the first naturally formed High-Mid grade planet found in the last five millenia.
As such according to Council Law Section 54 Sub-section 11 the planet is thus turned over to the Delegation of Organisational Expansion.
Delegation of Organisational Expansion has relinqished rights of sector 196 quadrant 3 of the 2nd cycle, self named planet Earth to the Grand House of Galactic Trade and Devolopment.
Precendance shows an auction to the highest bidder is in order
Authorized use of time lock on all sentient mana inabitint creatures is authorized according above mentioned Council Law during the course of Planetary Auction.

Once I finished reading this I was stunned. Auction? What? They are going to auction earth? I think to myself feeling the evergrowing dread in my stomach suddenly spike at the revelaition.
I try to calm myself down but it does little to stop my thoughts from going dangerous directions.
Since someone is buying earth does that mean that they will own the people living on it as well. Will we be slaves to some rich alien that views us as nothing more than commodites. After thinking I grow tired. My body begins to feel lethargic and even though I had a full night sleep not even an hour ago I feel as though I hadn't slept in days.
The drowsiness takes over my mind as my eyes shut. Suddenly feeling incredibly indifferent about the possibility of being a slave I mentally shrug to myself thinking that there isn't anything I can do about it and to just accept whatever result gets thrown my way. After I think this my mind quickly shuts off, causing me to enter a deep sleep.
