Chapter 90: Dinner and a surprising conversation with the grandparents
"You're still crazy about chocolate and cherries cake little Rogue? I remember that you had a tummy ache at Lucifer's birthday party after you stuffed yourself. Lucifer was so distressed that he wanted to punch the chef because he blamed him for your binging on the cake and getting sick." Brett and Hope fondly smiled at Rogue as they both remembered that day, it seemed like their son had subconsciously picked his future wife at that young age. Rogue giggled, "I'm never going to change my mind about my favorite cake, no matter how much my tummy hurts it's worth it!"
Lucifer grinned, "Aren't you afraid of gaining weight if you eat too much cake? I thought all girls like to look skinny?" Rogue rolls her eyes at Lucifer and snidely retorts, " I don't gain weight easily and I also workout daily as part of my rehabilitation so it's not a problem for me." Ron chimes in, "Poppy has an excellent metabolism and she's very diligent when it comes to her fitness regiment. We do exercise and yoga every day for a few hours. She's very flexible." Ron wickedly smiles at Lucifer as he watched his jealous reaction. This is just hilarious, look at him so fierce looking. Hmmm... I wonder what Ji will do when he's jealous, oh I gotta try getting him jealous soon. Ji stares at Ron and he can see his devious little smile and all he could think was that Ron was planning something and it probably wasn't anything good for him. I have a feeling that I'm gonna have to spank his behind sooner or later, he's gotta keep him in line or he will drive him crazy.
Everyone walks over to the dining room and quickly took their seats, Lucifer tried to seat by Rogue but Ji and Ron were quicker than him and each sat in either side of her. He had no choice but to seat in front of her and grimly stare at her while she talked to his mother about school. After a few minutes of being left out of the conversation he decided that enough was enough. "Angel have you told your grandparents the good news?"
Rogue is startled as she suddenly remembered what happened today. "Oh yes thank you for reminding me. So you guys know that I accompanied Lucifer to his photo shoot today right?" Kyung and Johan nod and Rogue takes a deep breath, "They needed a model for the shoot and I helped out. Lucifer's agent was there and thought I did an amazing job so he offered me a contract and I accepted." Lucifer chuckles as he listened to her water downed version, "Sweetheart you forgot to tell them all the juicy things that happened today. Why don't I tell them hmm?"
