Chapter 57: Everything is fair in love and war
"Who the hell are you?" Lucifer growled at Ron as he quickly pulled him away from Rogue. Ji was about to stand up and RIP Lucifer to pieces but Rogue quickly clasped his hand making him look at her and she quietly shook her head no. Ji restrains himself and picks up a piece of pastry and calmly takes a bite. Ron looks at Lucifer's hand which tightly grasped his wrist, "I suggest you let me go or you won't like the consequences." Rogue snorts and frowns, "Lucifer if you are going to cause trouble in our home, you aren't welcome and should immediately leave." Lucifer glares at Ron and slowly lets go of his arm. "I'm not here to make trouble with anyone. I apologize for my outburst," Lucifer grits his teeth and apologized even though all he wanted to do was wring the guy's neck. Who the hell is he and why was his wife letting him kiss her.
"Rogue, did I interrupt something? I thought you were home resting. What did I tell you, rest for at least 2 to 3 days." Ron very seriously looked around as if he was accusing them of a grave sin. "My apologies doctor Howard, this are my classmates. They very kindly came to bring me my schoolwork. The girls are Kimmy and Sam. The two guys sitting in the couch are Rick and Leon, and this is Lucifer." Ron pleasantly smiled, "A pleasure to meet you all. I'm Rogue's personal doctor and friend, Ron Howard." Lucifer stares at Rogue and Ji then slowly looks at Ron. "You're a doctor? You don't look old enough to be a doctor maybe a student." Leon nods as Rick just keeps staring open mouthed at Ron, "Wow...you're so pretty", Rick blurts out and everyone starts laughing he turns red in embarrassment. Ron grins at Rick, "Why thank you. You're very cute too." Ji sighs, he just can't help it, his narcissistic little baby has to be the center of attention. "Ron and I graduated from the same university. We're both doctors."
"Wow...so are you two geniuses? How old are you guys? Wait you said you're only a few years older than us, you're in your early 20's!" Kimmy was shocked as Ron and Ji nodded in unison, "Ron is 24 and I'm 25. We skipped a few grades growing up and as soon as we finished high school we enrolled in university." Ron arrogantly smiled, "In other words, we are geniuses." Lucifer snorts and looks away from Ron. Yeah, you're a genius but you're still the dog trying to steal someone else's wife. "How impressive. Lucky of you to finish your schooling early and become a doctor but how did you become Rogue's doctor?" Lucifer wanted details so he could come up with a plan to get rid of Ron and Ji asap and the more information he had the better for him. "Oh, that's easy. Our mentor is Dr.Holiday, and when she asked me to take care of our precious Poppy of course I said yes." Lucifer nods and then looks at Ji, "What about you Dr.Park? What is your role in Rogue's life?"
Ji looks at Rogue and gives her a gentle beautiful smile, "Lucifer, why do you ask me that question? Are you interested in my Poppy?" Ji puts his arm around Rogue's shoulders and she leans her head against his shoulder. Lucifer's blood pressure is rising rapidly and his face is starting to angrily flush. "I'm not sure if you know this Dr.Park but Rogue is my fiancee, so of course I'm interested." Ji sighs, "She told me that her parents arranged an engagement when she was a child and she was not happy about it. Why would anyone try to force a marriage between two people who don't love each other? This is the modern era not ancient feudal times, I'm sure that once the families discuss the matter calmly this engagement will be dissolved and both parties can get on with their lives."
Lucifer stiffens and sharply looks at Rogue, "That's not happening. My angel and I will just get to know each other and will eventually get married. There's no hurry, we're both young and I know I want to finish university before I get married and I assume it's the same for Rogue." Rogue vaguely smiles, "It's true that we're too young to marry and I do want to finish university before I decide what I want to do in the future but I never agreed to marry you Lucifer."
