The discussion around Tim, Lissy and The Wife was hot over lunch and snack breaks, chat groups and side gossips pre-meeting. One thing is for sure, Timothy Connor is married to a lady named Pamela Cruz and not Lissy. People in the office are naturally attracted to gossips and there were endless speculations on how this happened. Finally, it was established that Pamela Cruz in the marriage certificate is the same Pam Cruz who managed the recent engagement with NextGen with First Consulting. There were no loopholes related to conflict of interest and so the rumor has it that the Program Manager seduced Tim. This is further aggravated by another theory that Tim cheated on Lissy.
Friday came and Tim had to report for work while Pam met with Jenna. As a Senior Executive, Tim will not stoop down to the level of explaining himself to anyone. This is his personal life. From unsolicited reports he received, seems like Pam is being accused as the 3rd party who seduced him. He is also aware that he is identified as a cheater. He reported for work like the usual, with his ice-cold facial expression.
Inside his room he called via the local, "Catherine can you please come inside?"
In a few seconds, his assistant is already standing in front of Tim with her notebook and pen. "Sir, what can I do for you?"
"Sit down." He said is icy tone. "Yesterday when you called me, you told me that my wife is in this office. Who is this wife you are referring to?"
"Miss Lissy, Sir…." She knows this is incorrect but everyone else thought she is his wife.
"And where is this information that I married Lissy coming from?"
"Ohhh, hmmm well Sir everyone assumed she is the wife you are referring as you were engaged with her."
Tim stared at her assistant for a while before commenting, "I don't need to explain to everyone my private life. I don't have to clear anything from anyone. However, between us, I would like you to be clear that my wife's name is Pamela Cruz. She is not some random lady I just met. I trust you handle any gossip around this appropriately."
"Yes Sir." After working with Tim for a long time, she understands what he means by appropriately. Any misinformation should be shut down discreetly. The company and employees should not be concerned about his boss private life.
"And I don't want Lissy to be entering this room freely, you handle her. I don't know why she is frequenting my office. I do not have business with her team and she clearly know I am married now. I don't want any personal engagement in the office with her." Tim finally made it clear.
The gossip about Pam as the 3rd party in the break-up of Tim and Lissy's engagement continued. In one of the town hall meeting for IT, there was an opportunity to shut down this misinformation.
"Is there any question on the technology road map?" Tim was closing the town hall meeting arranged for the entire IT.
One Platform Supervisor had the audacity to congratulate Tim, "Sir we heard you just got married. Congratulations! This calls for celebration, the team will be happy with Pizza."
Running a group like IT, some rewards and recognition is important sometimes Managers would treat people just to keep their high performance. Pizza for the entire department is not too much. This also, would allow Tim to dispel the rumors by making it clear from his own backyard.
"Pizza not a problem, Cath will arrange for that."
"Yes Sir!" his assistant immediately confirmed taking care of it. The people in the townhall are obviously happy with food.
Tim continued to talk when the uproar died down, "I am not sure when my love life became a topic of interest in the company, but I thank everyone who wishes me and my wife well. As IT professionals, we only rely on facts, so I hope no one is spreading gossip from our department."
When Tim left the hall, the people flocked around his assistant to ask if it's true that Lissy is not the woman that their boss married.
"Yes, please stop anyone who talks non-sense about this and speculate. He married a former girlfriend."
The discussion on group chat significantly decreased with rumors getting dispelled by employees who know the truth. However, some malicious employees continue to inflict Pam as the 3rd party. Being former girlfriend does not spare her from being the 3rd party between Tim and Lissy. Some people close to Lissy are fueling this. These people are waiting to ger burned.
Weekend.
Pam was up early to do morning exercises in the gym. At 7am she is back and found Tim preparing breakfast in the kitchen.
"You are up early." Pam walked and stood beside Tim.
"Why didn't you wake me up, I could have joined you." He picked up the last pancake and brought it to the dining table.
Pam filled two cups with freshly brewed coffee and joined Tim on the table. "You were sleeping like a baby earlier, I thought you needed more sleep." Tim kissed her on the cheeks before sipping his coffee.
"Eeeeiw…I sweat a lot, aren't you disgusted?"
"Nope! Not at all. I can trade my pancake with you as breakfast."
Pam, "…"
"I can still exercise today maybe few minutes after breakfast."
"Oh ok, should I bathe and get dressed up for later? "They agreed to go on shopping for some items they need at home. Pam did not bring toiletries with her as it will just be additional weight on her luggage. She wanted to travel light earlier.
"I think so, we can dress up together later. I plan to have my exercise while bathing."
Pam glared at him, "why do I feel like I will be your dumbbell?"
Tim chuckled and kissed her again this time on her neck which caused Pam to squirm. "You smell good even on sweat My Queen. I can help clean you up. I'd probably need to lift you so you yeah…you can be my dumbbell today."
"I did not know I married someone so kinky and horny."
"I have always been like this."
"No, you were not. You were always gentle, sweet and nice like my knight in shining armor."
"What?! I am still your knight in shining armor! "Tim thought of how he treated Pam back then of course he was careful with her she was so young. "You were just 21, I kept my dirty thoughts about you in my head. Otherwise you might have run away earlier."
