Helen woke up early in the morning as she felt really light. This is the first time she felt like this after being tortured by Aria. She opened her eyes and saw the kids beside her, asleep, as she sighed a sigh of relief. She then felt something holding her hand and when she saw who it was, she trembled, she saw Somnus holding her hand, not intending on letting her go. He was sleeping peacefully as she reluctantly caressed his hair.
The door opened as I came in to check on Helen but was surprised to see that she's up already.
Seeing the person coming inside the room, Helen was startled. She didn't know the relation between me and Somnus but my appearance really looked familiar to her.
"How are you feeling? Did the medicine I gave you last night to remove the poison in your body effective?" I asked making Helen know that I have a background in medicine.
"Yes, I feel light. As if I have no illness at all." she said.
'It was a 'cure all' and 'ether' of course it would heal you completely.' I thought as I remembered from my memory on how to counteract a poison and healing illnesses.
The mask of wisdom only provided me with memories not experiences meaning I have to make them from scratch and the spirit of wisdom guided me in making the medicines.
While I'm in my deep thoughts, Helen asked a question.
"You look familiar, may I know who you are?"
"Your future brother-in-law." I said innocently
Helen's face turned red when she heard my words and immediately knew who I am but decided to play innocent as well.
"W-what do you mean?" She asked.
"I meant what I meant. I'm your future brother-in-law." I replied.
"Why?" She asked again.
"Because my brother wants you to be engaged with him?" I said as Helen snapped.
"Why me? Look at me, I'm ugly as hell, I got scars all over my body, I am someone unworthy. Why would he want to marry me? There's no reason to!" She said.
"Heh, do you think my brother, Somnus, is one who cares for looks? If you don't know that, then you don't know him well." I said as I stopped my teasing and I spoke in a serious tone.
Helen never expected such answer and she can't say anything after that, she knew Somnus and knew what I said is right. Hearing the commotion, Somnus woke up and saw Helen fine and all as he hugged her tight.
"Helen... I'm glad." He said while Helen didn't know what to feel. She wanted to push him away but her heart enjoyed the feeling of his embrace.
"Somnus..." She muttered.
"I'm glad you're okay... I thought you died and left me..." He said and Helen felt guilty.
"Although this scene could make a touching drama if used in a play with a bard playing in the background, I would love it if you feed her this medicine. Although I cleansed the toxins inside her body, we need to cleanse it twice, just to be safe. Also seeing you two make me miss my lovely wife. Hurry and heal up so we can finally return home." I said as Somnus laughed while Helen was red.
I left the two alone to settle their problem and seeing those two made me miss Irene. Man, I want to go home already.
After a day of recuperating, Helen was fully healed but the scars on her face remained. Helen and Somnus had already settled their differences. The kids, when they woke up panicked after seeing that they are in a different place and thought they were kidnapped and tried to bite Somnus but Helen stopped the kids, she also got mad at the kids for stealing money. Meanwhile I have already bought what I need from Minstrel and we only need the king to sign the contract and leave the place.
I also asked Somnus what are we going to do about Aria since the King ordered a search for the kids. I told him about quickly ending Aria so that we could finally go home. I freaking miss my wife and daughters back home.
Helen heard our conversation by chance and pleaded to not do anything against Minstrel and Aria. Although she is scarred and not the same princess before, she is still a princess of Minstrel and although Aria had done horrible things to her, she is still her sister by blood.
Somnus agreed while I didn't. My bottom line for not making a move, is for Aria to be punished under the Minstrel kingdom's law. Helen reluctantly nodded as she can't really do anything about it but plead for her sister's life.
We dressed up in our suit while Helen had wrapped bandages in her head. She didn't want King Marley, his father, see her current appearance. I had the shadows take care of the children and Helen warned them not to cause trouble as they nodded.
When we arrived at the palace, we were barred once more and told us that the king won't see anyone as he is furious because someone hurt her daughter, Aria.
I told the guards to tell him that the envoys of Lucis has come back and made us wait for 10 mins. After 10 mins, we were escorted by a guard to the throne room, and there, I saw King Marley and Aria beside him.
"Welcome back, envoys of Lucis. I apologize for the poor company, we were on high alert since someone dared to assault and take advantage of my daughter. May I know who is the person beside you?" He said as he signalled Aria with his eyes to not cause trouble.
'Assault and take advantage? Who do you think would take advantage of her... considering her body and face... only people with mental disabilities would assault and take advantage of her.' I thought and Somnus did the same while Helen didn't know what happened since her consciousness was fading and she was weak and sick.
"Its fine. We are here to finally dissolve the marriage between me and the eldest princess as well as Somnus' engagement with the 3rd princess of minstrel. As for the person beside me, she's a big evidence..." I spoke but Aria really couldn't take it and she shrieked.
"No!! This can't be happening! Somnusm my love, you told me you love me in the letters! You told me..." Aria paused as she realized her mistakes.
"We are also here for one more thing. Apparently, 3rd princess Aria faked the death of the 2nd Princess, Helen, on the night after her birthday party. She then tortured her causing her body and face riddled with scars before Princess Helen ended up in the slums. Princess Aria then used the fact that my brother, Somnus, is communicating with Helen through letters. She then took over Helen's identity and deceived my brother through her letters. I also have an evidence that states that Princess Aria hired goons to harass Princess Helen's household in the slums." I said as King Marley shook before looking at Aria and us with a stupefied face.
"Father, I didn't do it! I'm your daughter, believe me!" Aria said desperately.
"Even if you did believe her, we had the evidence in our hands... even Helen is with us." I said as King Marley finally stared at the bandaged person with eyes wide while Aria trembled greatly.
"Helen... is that you?" Marley asked as a fathern not as a king.
"Father..." Helen said softly as King Marley sighed with sadness in his eyes. He didn't expect Aria to be this bold because of love.
"Guards! Restrain the 3rd princess Aria and bring her to the dungeon! We will discuss her punishment tomorrow!" He said as the royal guards captured Aria who was too shocked at what was happening.
"I really apologize about this fiasco... I apologize to you as well, Helen..." King Marley looked like he aged for 10 years as he sat down on her throne weakly. Her eldest daughter is guarding the north border, while his two sons were guarding the western and eastern territory respectively. All that was with him was his daughters, Helen and Aria.
"Can you fulfill our demand now?" I asked as King Marley nodded and signed the documents.
My engagement is officially broken and Somnus' and Aria's engagement is officially broken. Somnus' and Helen's engagement is now official as well and the trade agreement with Minstrel is now ongoing and Lucis would send people to teach them how to use the appliances that we're going to send them.
I was kind of excited to go home but we decided to stay until the King announced Aria's punishment.
Aria was disowned by King Marley and was banished and banned at Minstrel.
I sighed hearing the punishment. I have already given my promise that I won't make a move if her punishment is under Minstel's law.
"That's why Minstrel will never rise to be a powerhouse even if they had our technology... they are just too soft." I said but only Somnus was able to hear it. Punishment in Lucis Kingdom is grave. Especially for r*pe, the criminal would be used by the horses as a means of s*xual release. With harsh punishments, few dared to commit crimes in the territory.
We were on our way back to Lucis while I am playing with a diamond ring in my hand.

Electric company finally fixed the problem and power has returned 2 hours ago.
Finally done with this arc. Want to rush this out. I'm more excited with the next one.
