Chapter 5: demon king
"DAMNED DEMON!" The human king roared.
"Well, that was the start of the war. the earlier demon king was too trusting. honestly I don't trust this food either but with you hero's here I believe I dont have fear of my life." The demon lord finished as he swallowed heaven defying orange Phoenix dragon scaled bull horned goat footed blinking eyes short lash slightly furry strong goat rib.
(a/n any body spot that in wuxia these describings are absurd.)
"yea well I think if he doesn't have my trust simply cause I don't trust easily.. demon lord how about this." Rune said in response after hearing the story, the demon lord looked up from his food as he looked away from his audience.
"You won't die. because although I'm not on your side I find it unsatisfying for the humans to completely overwhelm the demon race each time." Rune stopped to think and then cut the demon lord off before he would speak. "The reason I wont be in this war is because it isn't my problem and id like to explore. but the king isnt right at the same time so yes. from here on you will not die." Rune said surprising everyone.
"Hero I don't mean to doubt you but how? No newly summoned-" The demon lord started trying politely.
There was a slam on the table from the spot where the demon lord sat. a wooden mug appeared just a few inches above his plate but somewhat unusual was it appeared like liquid? it was a brown mug a recognizable beverage cup for liquid consumption. inside the cup was water..
"Is this.. You?" the demon lorf organized his thoughts and figuted it was Runes doing and soon he put together his words. 'you won't die.'
"drink." Rune ordered. "Drink all of it."
The demon lord didnt waste a second. He quickly downed the mug surprising every but the king was soon to catch on. he did.
"HERO WHAT THE FUCK!? DID YOU JUST HELP HELP OUR ENEMY?" the King gave rune a major look of disbelief and a tone steadily filing with hatred.
"Yes. and what will you do?" the king glanced at runes gaze that commanded him not to try anything.
"I Wont have it! Ill scorch you right now!" the king yelled loudly and stood from the table. he seemingly stepped on something before his staff appeared and he conjured and aimed a fireball at the same time.
the shot was for Rune however he abruptly stood as a torrent of water vastly left his mouth resembling a tornado vertically and it quickly doused the large fire ball before flying threateningly at the king but sudden as well was it vanishing mid flight.
"You.. Sit down." rune ordered as he looked at the shock and slight barely noticed fear only he and the demon lord saw. "You won't trouble me and my friend over something that isnt our problem!"
"grrrrr!" the king grudgingly took his seat. he knew it would be bad to fight here and he held back considerably. however this hero was obviously not going to care about ruining the mood of his people by breaking apart his castle.
"Now.. as I was saying I won't have a hand in this war. yet.." Rune grabbed onto the shoulder beside him gently. "If she does play a role then.. ill follow her."
both the demon king and the huma king looked to his side and saw a little girl maybe 17. or 18 at most.
the demon king smiled normally.. the king grit his teeth and gave a deceptive dark smile . the rest of the students look in surprise , shock, slight fear, awe and some guys in anger.
