Chapter 2: filler tales
"hey son, how did you do that?" Runes father stared at him with a surprised look.
the table which was clear just a while ago had. what his son called purified water.
although I would normally go over the edge the water covered the entire table without going bellow and soaking anything.
"it's easy! look!" rune raised his hand and reached over the table of water, this caused the water to disappear but a moment later the water returned with even more than before. it was stacked over the table by two inches.
"Th-I don't get it.. how?" his father mumbled.
"well in class we learned about pure water today and also somehow I could make it appear and disappear." rune explained with an excited look.
his father was only 26 now and his son was passing him up in terms of ability. he didn't know how to feel.
"Look its Void Knight and the space magician!" rune shouted as the tv introduced a few new characters. one was dressed in armor and the other a ominous cloak.
"You should've stayed down hero. but its to late.. in gonna enjoy tossin you around like trash." the space magician chuckled as he floated above the ground like the hero.
"You're wasting time gozar! I have already won! those people placed in me their hopes.. their dream, freedom, as long as youre around thought.. They cant have it! ive been chosen to cut you down here and now!"
Rune watched the hero dash and appear in front gozar the villain but the hero's slash did nothing as it entered a portal. the ominous portal threatened the hero making him release his sword.
"Haha pathetic! you never did train your void magic enough hero! but we both know why.. YOU WORRIED FOR THOSE PATHETIC PEOPLE!" the space mage laughed as he controlled space and used a portal to send space debris from some planet at the hero.
the weponless hero was sent flying back to the ground while kicking up dust from both his fall and the debris. he could be seen kneeling and grinding his teeth from the clearing dust cloud.
"Ive had enough of these antics.. hero." the space mage with a tired smile point his hand out to the left towards the town.
Rune watched in rapt interest as a clear ripple much like the liquid purified water he used appeared and released debris toward town.
'i wonder if I can do that' fine looked to the side where his father just walked in. "father doesn't that look like water?" rune asked as he point at the ripple at the front the space mages palm.
"it certainly does but at the same time its actually space magic, he must have trained long to master it on the level." His father responded gazing at the tv.
"its cool!" Rune said looking at the magic with shining eyes.
"I think so to." his father smiled.
they continued to watch as the hero scream in despair as one of the villages was pummled to oblivion with debris. in response the hero had inner monologue and soon the sky erupted with various black holes. a black hole soon hits mark only for the space mage to die being sucked it with a look of shock.
eventually the hero learned he couldn't control his magic and destroyed the planet but he heard laughter behind him in space.
it was a familiar sound drawing rage from him.
"HAHA" the laugh was long and hearty.
"you should be dead." the hero looked behind him with pale skin and a monstrous energy flowing from him. "you caused the destruction that took place and now.. no ill cut you Down.. I MUST FOR ALL THE PEOPLE YOUVE SLAIN!" The hero yelled sending black holes all through out space but just as he did the space mage waved his finger..
"ah ah ah.. look again." the space mage used portals to take away the black holes and soon the hero realized a light from the corner of his eye.
his planet wasn't gone and it looked hundreds of times better.
"W-what is this..?" the hero asked.
"this is the planet. in its early stages. all I wanted since the start." The man name gozar shook his head.
"How? why?" the hero said quickly in confusion. he thought the man saught destruction .
"I did it because its stronger. cant you feel it? I also used time magic as well." goad said. he watched the planet with a smile one would give their creation. 'i even brought back all the old life.' he smiled and shook his head.
"But I thought.. they said you wanted it destroyed! the chicken emperor said that he saw you in a dream!" the hero shouted in defence. he felt bad but he thought that the emperor lied to him.
"I told him to say that.. he need to get you to destroy the planet but it seems I had to." the space mage said and acted as if it was all very problematic.
"why?" the confused hero asked.
"I wanted to defy the laws of heaven. usually its evil that ravages the planet no? I just showed the gods they don't get the final say." the space mage said with pride.
"all... for that?" the hero felt that reason was barely plausible.
"Well you can blame you, you never trained you stupid fool." gozar laughed and waved him off. "well I cant let you destroy this so I will lock you up." the space mage cupped his chin and the hero disappeared to the latter's surprise.
"now now.. with that out of the way i can finally get busy." gozar snapped his fingers appearing below.

"well that was my old time favorite. what about you son?" he asked rune turning his gaze from the tv to his son.
"I learned from it!" rune responded.
"oh yea? like what?" he asked.
"ALWAYS CONTROL THE HERO."
"why?" his father was really shocked?
"because their half baked. also you can sit back and watch the fool self destruct."
"but what about training?"
"of course!"
his father had a smile as he shook his head. "come on kiddo let's get some ice cream huh" he ruffled runes hair a bit.
"mom said she like the parfait! "
"oh yea which one?"
"strawberry! can I have one?" rune asked.
"sure!" he ruffled rune hair some more before he opened the door.
"Thanks dad! " rune followed him out and pulled the door shut.
