Chapter 1: The Lewis
July 30, 1999
The wind has never been that strong whirling in the city of Kendallville, thunder and lightning were like killing a thousand trees as it struck the earth surface. Everybody was trembling in fear that night, suspecting they might lost their lives because of the bad weather. All of them fled to thier safe place for protection, except for the Lewis who do not anticipate the happenings outside the four corners of their humble home but afraid to lost their first born.
Mr. Isaac Lewis age of 31, manage to get a Agatha a nurse in order to see her wife condition. They were rushing towards the room of Levi, who's badly hurt because of laboring.
"I never thought it will be this early, she's supposed to give birth in the 1st" Isaac nervously speak as he wipe Levi's sweat and tears.
" Get some warm water and extra clean cloth" Agatha ordered. "Levi, how are you feeling?" Agatha added, Levi give her an enigmatized look.
"I know, i must see this coming, but don't worry Levi I got you, I want you to give a big push when i say, okay darling. "
she gave a sweet glimpse to Levi. " Isaac the water! Hurry up! Please" she shouted
Isaac give her some pieces of dried clothes and warm water and walk to his wife. He hold Levi's hand tightly and kiss her forehead." You'll be fine honey, stay with me okay?"
"Okay Levi, i want you to push hard now" Agatha commanded. The room is filled with Levi's scream and shout as well. " Again, darling another push i can see the baby now!" and again the screams of Levi was heard. She's exhausted and lost many blood..
"One last push darling" and Levi give the last loud and long scream it is possible for her to give..
"It's a girl! Levi you give birth to a beautiful baby girl" Agatha happily exclaimed.
Levi slow breathing, paleness in his face, smile with excitement and tears in her eyes are falling
"Let me see her Agatha, please, my baby.." Agatha wrap the baby with clean cloth and give it to Levi..
"Isaac, her nose, it's yours,as well as the eyes honey..but her lips she got mine.." joyfully Levi exclaimed..
"Honey, you need to take a rest,"
"I want you to give the love you gave to me honey, let her see the wonders of this world you and I had been...You're special Margarette and you deserve to feel every joy and hapiness..I love you and will always love you..Mommy will always be here " she caress the baby's chest and tears falls on Levi's eyes..

Margarette's POV
"Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to you..Happy birthday happy birthday happy birthday dear Margarette.. Rise and shine you little Donkey" that's my dad and his angelic hmmm not so angelic voice. He sounds like a loose record when he sings but i love him.. Yeah he's my dad..
I'm Margarette Lewis, dark hair, white skinned girl . You can call me M. My bestfriend call me that. And walla i'm turning 18 today..
"Dad! It's 6 o'clock in the morning! And you're singing at the top your lungs! Oh God gracious!" i shouted..
"Hey young lady! Don't you raise your voice!.. Haha. It's your birthday honey, i cannot anticipate my excitement, okay?..So why dont you wakey up and give your daddy a big hug.. I made some cake..well i tried like before but it's a little bit..hmm..not so good..but i made it for you" he explained
"Fine," i get up and take a look at the cake..
"Is this a cake? Argh.. Anyway thank you dad" i hugged him and laugh "I know you're not a baker you're an architect" and he laugh back..
" I always wish she's here, mom will goin to be astonish with your baking skills" i joke..
" I wish she's here too honey, she'll be very proud of what you've accomplished Margarette."
"Ok dad why don't you leave my room now and give me another hour of sleep,pleasee..I really want to have a moment with my dear bed if you don't mind. And beside it's my birthday, i do love to get enough sleep." I hugged my dad tightly and drove him outside my room..
"Okay honey, but i'm going now, don't forget to be home early we'll goin to celebrate your birthday.. And be early..I don't like to wait..I love you honey"
"Alright alright alright love you too dad" i replied and he left as i closed my door..
I know it's hard for my dad to celebrate my birthday and my mom's death anniversary on the same day. He really misses my mom.I never had the chance to met her, but i misses her a lot too.
I caress the necklace i always wear, my dad gave it to me when i turned 11, and told me to take care of because it's my mom's. It is a locket, with a sapphire stone on the center of it and inside is the initial of my mother. L which stands for Levi.
Author's POV
Margarette drifted away in her dreams, she's on the same place and on the same time. She knows where she is, the place that appears on her dream whenever her birthday comes. She felt the cold breeze touching her gentle skin. Puzzled, Margarette notice the white dress she's wearing..The glitters looks like a diamond shining as the rays of the sun struck her dress.
She saw the big tree again, it's the only trees on the field where she is. Excitement took over her feelings as she saw the man leaning on the tree.
Margarette walks toward the direction where the tree as if he knows the man under it.
"Zachary" she mumbled..The man open his eyes look at her and smiled.
"It's you again." he stand and the sunlight brushed his white skin so does the wind touches his curly hair..
"So it's your 18th birthday" he said
"And yours too" Margarette added
"Yes it is" he smirked..
Zachary look at her from head to toe which make it Margarette felt the awkwardness..
"You have grown into a flower now, weren't you?" he was dazzled of the white dress that she wore..and walk toward her closely..
Zachary got something in his pocket and took her hand.."I've missed you, this was for you Margarette"
It was a bracelet filled with sapphire stone around it.
"It matches your eyes" he smiled and look at her eyes.
"Thanks," but sadness filled her eyes knowing she can't have them when she wakes up. " It's been a year, your hair is longer compare the last time i saw you"
"Should i cut them?" he asked
"No! I mean it suits you,its nice and curl and long "
she explained, Zachary grinned and look at her with curiousity..he look at her lips which turn Margarette's cheek red..he slowly leaning his face towards her..
"Are you going to kiss me?" Margarette ask nervously which made him stop..
"Do you want me to kiss you?" he whisper
She remember the first time they saw each other, It's been eight years. They were both ten years old enjoying the scenery under the tree that happen only once a year.
Margarette nodded softly and slowly closed her eyes. They both hear each others heart beats.. Zachary's eyes closed when his nose touches hers.
Another inch and their lips will be united..

Margarette startled, it's her 8 am alarm, she located her phone and turn it off immediately. The redness of her cheeks still lingers. She cupped her face with her hands with shame and disappointment.
"What the heck happened" she told herself
