Chapter 4: Things Get Fun
They continue their lunch together until the bell rings. "I guess it's time for our next class." Emily says as gets up and throws her food away. "I guess it is. What is your next class?" Kaine asks. "Oh, I have science." Emily says. "Great! I do too!" Kaine responds happily.
They walk together to their class and pick seats right next to each other. The class goes by in almost an instant for Emily because she focused on Kaine the whole time. She sees so much in him and has feelings for him that she can't explain nor has she ever felt before.
As class ends, she stands up and looks at Kaine. "Well, do we have any other classes together?" Emily asks hoping that they could spend the rest of the day together. "My next classes are P.E., Music, and Math." Emily sighs and says "That's a shame. I've already done those." Kaine stands up and stares expressionless for a moment, then says "I could walk you home." Emily, inside her mind, screeches at the opportunity, but on the outside she just blushes and says "That'd be nice."
The bell rings and ends the day of school. Emily excitedly gets up and walks out to the front of the school and waits under a tree. While she sits there and sketches, a boy falls out of the tree above her. He lands on his back and looks up at her. "It's not what you think." He says as he jogs away and disappears into the crowd of kids walking home.
Emily hears a familiar sound, a whoosh in the air, and standing next to her is Kaine. "Are you ready to walk home?" He says as a smiley face appears on his screen. Emily gets up and brushes off the leaves and grass and looks excitedly at him. "Of course!" She says with a grin. "Would you like for me to carry you or do you want to hang on to me?" He says keeping the smiley expression. "Would I like to what?" Emily says quite confused and concerned. Without a second thought, Kaine picks her up and looks at her. "Have you ever thought about how I get around so fast?" Emily blushes and says "No, but... your hand is under my skirt." Kaine's screen pops up with an embarrassed face and moves it to a different position. "Hang on!" He says before launching a grapple from his arm.
