Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Natsu Vs. Elemental Four (III)
When Natsu arrived at Makarov's location, he noticed him arguing with Jose. Makarov had an angry expression while Jose had a mocking one. He also noticed Aria lurking behind Makarov, who was about to sneak attack him. He looked like he was preparing to cast a strong spell.
Natsu didn't hesitate as he promptly jumped over to Aria and kicked him in the back, making him soar, crashing into the walls in a loud noise, notifying Makarov and Jose of his presence. Makarov looked at him in surprise while Jose glared at him hatefully. He was mad that Natsu ruined his perfect plan to sneak attack the old man.
"What are you doing here, Natsu? I told Mira to stop anyone from interfering with my battle." Makarov asked with narrowed eyes. Natsu should know better than anyone not to be a hindrance in his upcoming fight.
"Chill out, gramps! I'm not here to stand in the way of your fight. I just didn't want someone to sneak attack you." Natsu replied while shrugging his shoulders, making Makarov surprised.
"So, that's what was going on. I had a feeling something was off ever since I arrived here. It was like someone was stalking me from the moment I arrived here." Makarov mumbled then turned towards Jose with veins bulging on his forehead.
"I guess that was your plan, isn't that right Jose? I didn't know you would stoop so low in order to try to defeat me. I tried to give you another chance but you didn't take it. So, let me show you what happens to those that harm my children." Makarov said while angrily looking at Jose.
"Tch… Don't give me that look. I just didn't want to fight with you if possible. It doesn't mean I'm afraid of you, Makarov. If it's a fight you want, then a fight is what you'll get. I'll show the whole world that Phantom Lord is the true number one guild of Fiore." Jose replied, clicking his tongue in annoyance as he got into his fighting position.
"You need to leave the area, Natsu. This is my battle! I don't want you to interfere with my fight." Makarov said without turning back. Then, he started casting his light magic whereas Jose started casting his shade magic.
"Sure. Show him what happens to those that mess with our guild, gramps!" Natsu said before going towards Aria's location. Neither Makarov nor Jose stopped him since they were already occupied with each other. They didn't have any time to waste on Natsu. They started battling each other making the entire building shake.
Natsu saw Aria groggily standing up. That kick must have dealt some serious damage to him since Natsu didn't have time to hold back his strength.
"How sad! You shouldn't sneak attack me like that. It makes me so sad!" Aria replied while sobbing. Despite his cry, he looked angry at Natsu for interfering with his attack.
"Says the one that tried to do the same to our guild master," Natsu replied sarcastically, making Aria's sobs even louder.
"How sad! Let me pay you back for earlier. Airspace Magic: Zetsu!" Aria said while casting his spell. He extended one of his hands before Natsu and opened his palm, something which prompted a series of airspaces to be fired at him. He calmly dodged the barrage before it then exploded on contact with the wall, generating small and yet powerful blasts, all but destroying the wall in the process.
Natsu then swiftly approached Aria and roundhouse kicked him in the face, making him fly away outside the building, destroying all the walls in the way. Then, he left the guild as well, flying towards his opponent. He noticed Aria standing up with visible injuries all over his body.
"Now you've done it, Salamander. I'll show you not to mess with me." Aria said, forgetting his earlier manners. He teleported right behind Natsu and cast his draining magic.
"Metsu!" Aria muttered, placing his hands behind Natsu. He opened his palm facing each other and moved it toward his back. He wanted to envelop Natsu in the airspace, which would then completely drain his magic, but unfortunately for him, Natsu was already prepared for his sneak attack.
He instantly teleported behind Aria, making his attack fail. Then, he kicked his groin with a powerful blow, making Aria groan painfully. He even heard a small cracking sound when his kick landed.
"ARGH!!! Not my jewels!!" Aria cried out loud painfully while rolling on the ground holding his crotch. He had genuine tears leaking out from his eyes. No male could withstand the pain of getting their nuts crushed after all.
"And that's how you sneak attack. Did you really think your shitty trick would work on me?" Natsu said while smugly looking at Aria. Aria stood up wobbly and glared at Natsu hatefully. He still had his blindfold.
"Damn you, Salamander! I'll make you pay for this. I'll drain all the life out of you in my airspace of death. Airspace Magic: Zero!" Aria said before removing his blindfold and casting his strongest spell. His eyes started shining brightly as he readied to cast it, bringing his relaxed hands before him, the right one on top and the lower down, with their palms facing forward. This prompted a very large, spiraling airspace to be generated before him, made visible by a large, smoky whirlwind, which he described as "the airspace of death", capable of consuming all life.
"Drain huh?! Why do I need to drain when I can just devour it?" Natsu spoke calmly while looking at the incoming attack. Aria opted to ignore his words and continued his attack, feeling that he was just bluffing.
"Amaterasu: Devour!" Natsu snapped his fingers generating a wisp of black flame and threw it toward the approaching attack, which was then completely devoured, making Aria wide-eyed. He didn't understand how his attack could be overpowered by such a small flame.
"How's that possible!? How can such a weak attack overpower mine." Aria asked in disbelief. He didn't want to believe that his attack was weaker than a wisp of flame.
"Who said it was weak? Just because it's small doesn't mean it is less powerful." He said, teleporting in front of a shocked Aria.
"And I don't have any more time to waste on someone like you," he said before punching his guts heavily, knocking him out in the process. Aria didn't even get a chance to reply.
'This makes all of the 'Elemental Four' now. Gramps should be able to defeat Jose easily with Aria out of the way.' Natsu thought while looking back at the 'Phantom Lord' guild.
Suddenly, he felt an enormous magic pressure coming out of the second floor making him smirk.
'Gramps should be ready to cast that spell. I must hurry back. I won't get another chance to learn that spell after all.' He thought, flying toward Makarov's location. He wanted to see Makarov casting one of the three legendary spells 'Fairy Law' with his own eyes. Makarov was really secretive about this since they were the symbol of his guild after all. So, he wanted to use this chance to learn 'Fairy Law'.
