Chapter 1: Chapter 1
I've been sitting in my room for the past hour, listening to music and bouncing a tennis ball off the ceiling, making noise and divits, to pass the time of what seems to have stopped. We finished packing all we thought was necessary for the move and we fly out tomorrow at dawn.
We were all ready to start over, in a new state, with new people, except for my younger sister, Terrain. But, of course, my mother thinks that the best place to go to is the secluded city of Jardint. It might as well be an island for the only way to get to another state from the sea-surrounded court is across the Manhime Bridge.
The bridge, its like a passage to a whole new dimension; it's the only way out; it's the only way in. The state has no ports and no subways and no railroads, so all the supplies and food are imported at the neighboring city across the bridge, which is then carried by trucks and buses to the little state of no other, than Grotensisle.
I'm gonna miss the little bit of friends I do have and my aunts and uncles and cousins in our area, but a clean slate and a fresh start is just what I need to steer clear of my current reputations and rumors.
Last year, i got involved in some pretty serious stuff that i havent even told my parents, let alone some of my closest friends. Once i joined this...group, there was no walking away feom it, or the things it came with. It made life risky, and it was kind of hard to keep up with two seperate lifestyles. It was dangerous and im just scared it might follow us on our move. But more importantly, im just hoping the repercussions of my past actions stay in the past.
So, I think, a fresh start is just what I need.
