Chapter 2: The real training starts now
Its been three months since I met sensei and I still haven't used any magic yet every time I ask him when he'll teach me what my magic he just grunts and tells me to do a thousand push-ups. I'm finally able to pick up the basin and carry it to the edge of the forest my arms give out after the edge of the forest. The basin has a spell on it that when its placed empty on the ground it disappears and then reappears at the mouth of the cave. on the other side of the river is a fancy cart being pulled by two white horses I went to go back into the forest I heard a scream it sounded like a young girl I didn't think twice I took off toward the cart it was being attacked by bandits. I jumped across the rocks in the river and made it to the other side when got closer I saw a man in armor shielding the girl it was the same knight who left me I looked at the girl it was none other than my sister she was crying. she had a cut across his face she was holding her eye. Get away from her I yelled she stopped screaming and she looked over and screamed Alex your alive and started crying again she started running towards me when one of the bandits hit her knocking her to the ground she was out cold.
How dare you I screamed I've never this much anger before and before I knew it a dark purple flame surrounded me I took off towards the one that her and was in his face in a matter of seconds with my hand going through his chest he coughed up blood before dying the other bandits took off running with terrified looks on there face. so you'rere still alive said the knight before he died I picked my sister who was still out cold I jumped back across the rocks on the other side of the river sensei was waiting for me. so is the sister I've heard you screaming about in your sleep I didn't realize I talked in my sleep she'll be okay but it looks like she lost her left eye poor thing said sensei. I couldn't sleep that night so I buried the knight and bandit and released the horse I also burned the cart. when I got back sensei was standing at the mouth of the cave.
It looks like your magic is dark magic said sensei I looked at for a moment then I asked but sensei it was the fire that I used so wouldn't my magic be fire? I asked him he walked a little past me and said that fire magic and dark are very similar sometimes its not even called dark magic some call it shadow magic and not a single shadow magic-user can use shadow fire all except a shadow dragon. Then it became clear that how sensei lit his pipe this whole time he used shadow fire. I went back into the cave and sat next to where Gino slept. The next morning I was about to go start my training for the day when Gino opened her eye. Is this a dream said Gino she lept up and hugged me she started crying it's okay it's not a dream I said back to her. When she calmed down she told me father had told her I died in a hunting accident when our party got ambushed by wolves, I asked her why she was on the road, to begin with, she explained that our father had arranged for her to marry another dukes son and that the dukes son was none other than Hane Valier I've met him once before he was pompous and fat and always smelled like he rolled around in feces.

At that moment sensei walked up to us and told Gino and me to follow him we followed him up the mountain to the hot spring Ginos face lit up as she saw the beautiful hot spring wasting no time she took off her clothes and jumped in when. When I turned around sensei was gone and when I looked back hot the hot spring the whisps were surrounding Gino they turned red the dissolved into her skin. Unlike me she didn't pass out "Are you going to get in Alex" said Gino "I've told you over a hundred times Gino to call me Ace" I shouted back at her. She stuck out at me and said come on Alex get in she said as she blushed. Fine but I told you before were brother and sister she looked at me with an angry face and said that doesn't change the fact that your gonna be the one to my husband."Come on Gino that's not right and you know it" I said to her she looked at me again with the same face "I don't care if you have others as long as I'm the first" Gino yelled. After an hour I told its time to get out she looked if she was about to cry "could you help me dry off Alex" "dry yourself off". The next day came and when I woke up Gino was sleeping next me "Gino I don't mind you sleeping next me but could not do it naked" I said she laughed and got dressed "you know you like it" said Gino "why are you like this Gino I'm your younger brother" I said to her " your only three years younger than me" Gino said as she grabbed a bowl of food and started eating. After breakfast, we went outside and sensei was waiting for us he told Gino to sit and watch for the day and that she'll begin training tomorrow. Sensei had told me that I had a new training regiment I was to summon the shadow fire and light the fire under the basin. Night fell and I still haven't been able to summon shadow fire. The next morning I woke up and Gino was already up and training she had to do the same training I did and as for me, sensei told me to light that fire. A month had passed and Gino has found out she is a fire magic user and shes already summoning flames. "Come on Alex you can do it," said Gino "I'm trying" I snapped "you don't have to be mean" Gino snapped Back. The eye patch I made her has gotten really dirty so I decided it was break time and we head to the hot spring to wash our clothes and ourselves. Taking a bath with Gino is always awkward she keeps trying to wash my back and it's uncomfortable but if I don't she ignores me for weeks till I apologize. "Are you gonna let me wash your back this time Alex?" asked Gino "fine" I said back she got all giddy and started humming a song that my mom used to sing to her when she had a nightmare and since i never met her Gino sang it to me every night just so I could be somewhat closer to mother. she stopped humming " do you think mom is watching us? would she be proud of us?" said Gino on the verge of tears "of course she would mom always told me that no matter what she'd always love us no matter what. Gino hugged me "Promise me you'll always be by my side Alex" I grabbed her hand and said "I promise no matter what ill stay by your side even after I die.
