Shandra had been so busy looking for her answers, only to find dead ends and more questions. She did not see what was happen with in her day life. She was pushing the people that she was so close to away. First it was Darwin, she blamed it on being busy with her research, which in the end was unfruitful. Then it was harvest season. Which was when they saw each other the least on normal circumstances.
She went to the usual pick up place, their tree, to get some vegetables from Darwin. The baskets were there but no Darwin. 'Where is he?' Shandra huffed looking around. As she got close she could not see or hear him anywhere. He was usually here waiting for her. Something was off where is he. She looked around the area and up their tree. But the only sign that he was there was the baskets from their harvest and a note by one of the baskets that she missed when looking for him.
Shandra,
Sorry I could not wait for you. Our harvest was good thanks to you. Father wants me to help him in the market for a bit, so I will not be around for a bit do not worry.
Yours, Darwin
Looking at the note she read it a couple of times but something was still pulling at her. Something was off. She folded the note and placed it in a small pocket in her dress. Making sure that it was in there and she would not lose it on the way back to the castle.
Since she did not have help today from Darwin she closed her eyes putting a call out to any animal near by. With her arms by her sides and palms facing the sky. She sent out her energy. 'If there is any animal close that could help me I would appreciate your help.' The wind picked up whipping around her. It felt like someone was wrapping a warm blanket around her. Calm and peace spread though her and she let it out. After a couple of minutes she heard some leaves rustling behind her. Shandra opened her eyes and turned to see what was coming. The wind was gone in a blink of an eye as she spotted a buck walking towards her. When the deer got close he bowed his head in respect. She walked the rest of the gap 'thank you for your willingness to help' saying this as she stroke the deers back. She fashioned a harness out of some vibes close to her, so the deer could carry two and still be comfortable.
She picked up the last baskets from the ground and started on the way back. She stoped for a quick second and turned her head and took another look at the fields and the house that was Darwin's.
