Chapter 68: The Unknowns
Taking a step back Xilo relaxed his tense muscles and body after reading and processing all the information he currently read while taking a deep breath.
"Who knows maybe more of these books have more things similar to this? Yeah right..."
Hoping for such a coincidental thing to occur multiple times and even be potentially related to the one he just read was ridiculous to even think about it really. Well the information he might have found might not have been what he was looking for though it certainly was interesting to him but it also brought up a worry as well.
"The Nepl's will come back one day eh...I wonder when."
If any of what he read was true or even had some truth to it the world he lived in might be in for another terrifying war or he could be over worrying about something that might not even happen while he's alive.
"Hell, Worrying about it now is useless even if it happens, What could I do to help?"
With that thought he was finally able to relax a little bit and let off some built up tension. Though this information was intriguing to him he would be keeping it a secret that he had read it for now even if it was Xelfia. That was simply because she would probably believe him and then he would just end up adding pointless worry to her thoughts and now was not time for them to get so distracted with such things. But if it some day became relevant towards them ever he would tell her without a shadow of a doubt but until then it would be locked in his memory as probably one of the last few people to know about such things.
"Well now that that's over I should move on to what I was actually supposed to be after. A little deeper information on the other continents."
Flipping the page he landed on the section he was on before and began once again. Currently he figured out earlier that he was in the continent of Ukel which was also located on the furthest end of the continent next to the sea and since that's where he currently was he figured it was probably best to find out more about Ukel.
"In Ukel there are Three major points of interest. One Surprisingly being a city similar to the one we're currently in called Landelt. Two being the Great Underground Astral Zone including its Capital city there. the Astral Zone there is otherwise known as one of the 11 Sacred zones which are also places that have never been fully completed before even with millions trying everyday. Lastly though we have the Kintrel Mountains located near the border of the country close to the sea."
The Kintrel Mountains was a place people have speculated multiple times to be an Astral Zone but after some experts visited it after all the commotion it was confirmed to be just a natural place.
though that didn't put some people's doubts away in the end. It's four giant mountains that spread out on each side with a giant valley in the center covered in greenery. When people first discovered such a place everyone ignored it at the start. Until people began exploring the place and finding an unruly amount of Astral Beasts that seemed never ending. From there is where people's speculations came and while hundreds and hundreds of years have passed since then there us still no changes that have occurred there.
"Though for people confident in their skills, It's one of the better Scenic areas for Astral training since the beasts there are generally higher level. But With the beauty of the place it's worth it."
Well there wasn't much to the country he finally figured out at least some of the major points of interest and while out all of them he found the Kintrel Mountains the most interesting one of the three, the Great Underground Astral Zone sounded tempting as well. he was also surprised to find out a different city was also on the list as well but when he thought about it rationally it made sense.
"I mean, The city is massive and it has a Astral Zone within it. Why wouldn't it be popular? But what makes it so different from Belturn then?..."
But if that was the case he could get a slight estimate of the population there which brought some relief to him regardless. Belturn already had a lot of people everywhere from what he saw so far and he really wouldn't know what to do if the next place he visited eventually had even more. But what was most worrying was Belturn turned out to be a more popular place then he first thought which brought up the question of.
"How strong are the people here then?"
Since it was almost a major point of interest anyone and everyone could potentially be stronger than him anywhere and well people randomly walking along the streets might not be powerhouses he could never be too sure. With all sorts of people coming and going from this place and back there could already be plenty of danger waiting for him in the near future. People were some of the most unpredictable things in this life and also incredibly scary because of such things and that was something he knew incredibly well himself.
"Though, Not all of them are so bad maybe."
Turning to look at Xelfia for a brief second he went back to reading about the continents. The next he was after was the Country that was closest to Ukel and probably the one he would come into contact with very soon in the future. Unfortunately when he read the description and information on it he was greatly disappointed. It was the country called Cestrin that just happened to have a pretty big hate for humans since they were primarily a Astral Beast country and because of that there wasn't any general information he could find.
"So complicated...."

Also Ishtar changed to Dusk because I felt it fit his character better. Changes like that won't happen much though.
