William entered after knocking. He was afraid Moses might eat the dragon egg by either frying or barbecuing it.

How could William be left out of such a delicacy? If Moses were to eat the egg in secret without leaving some for William, Moses would have gone too far.

"Bah, it's wrong! Why do we have to eat the dragon egg?" William opened the door and glanced at the kitten sentry. Then he entered the alternate dimension.

"Meow?" The black kitten was befuddled. What? Even William was treating the kitten as non-existent?

Didn't William use to greet the kitten?

William was shocked when he entered the alternate dimension…

Previously, the alternate dimension used to be filled with bookshelves and laboratory apparatuses.

But they were now gone.

Instead, in their place, there was a barbecue pit. Inside it was a dragon egg that had been cooking for an indeterminate time.
