Chapter 95: Chapter 94: The truth is not what it may seem

"YuanQi~gege... "

Ji Mei staggered on the ground holding her chest where she was stabbed. Blood flowed to the ground like seamless crimson tapestry tainting the eden that she had built.

"They say Goddesses don't die and live for thousands of years? But I don't believe them... Ji Mei, you really are a feeble mongrel. I envy your beauty and talent but now... Because of this hatred that I feel for stealing my man... I am going to end you!"

With the rush of wind along with the bright dagger in her hand, the woman stabbed Ji Mei's chest once again.

Slowly, her body started to crumble, deformed into a huge tree with hanging roots and viscious appearance.

Bright yellow eyes awakened from all over the trunk. The sight was horrid. The once beautiful goddess had turned into something so ugly that even mortal men could not stare.

"Now, you're as viscious as I am inside and outside."

She took the black veil revealing a sinister look on her face. Wind swept her hair and an ominous smile was painted on her lips.

Gu Xiniang woke up from the horrible dream. She was already in the room with Xuanzheng, Yingluo and Feixian.

"Xiniang, are you alright?" Yingluo helped her up as she leaned on the headrest.

"I'm fine. Thank you..." She replied as she gripped her chest. It still hurts.

"The aromatic arrowroot has been fully absorbed on her body. Any immortal cannot remove the absorbed heart unless she is willing to damage her Qi." Xuanzheng overstepped the conversation. She was amazed on how Xiniang managed to absorb Ji Mei's heart.

"Xuanzheng ayí... How can the aromatic heart arrowroot damage the Qi of an immortal? Is it a powerful divine weapon?" Xiniang grew curious.

"Yes, It is indeed powerful. An immortal who cultivated for thousands of years whose Qi would be ruined will be forced to cultivate and turn to evil miasma just like me... However, unlike me... I have begun already removing the miasma inside me with the help of my sister Xuanwu."

Xiniang's wound bled. The heart arrowroot is taking time to coordinate with her Qi. The shura's power and her cultivation isn't enough to cater to the needs of a powerful divine weapon.

Taking a powder from her pocket, Xuanzheng blow a puff of dust on Xiniang's face and she fell into a deep sleep once again.

"Will she be alright, ayí?" Yingluo said sweeping off the hair from Xiniang's face.

"Given that Xiniang has a frail body of a mortal, I am certain that she have only a sliver of chance to survive this ordeal."

—Xuanzheng

"But I thought Xiniang had already passed?—Yingluo

"The real ordeal starts after she had absorbed the aromatic heart arrowroot. From this point on, let's not expect for her to make it through... But if she can make it, Xiniang is indeed Ji Mei's descendant. A half mortal-half immortal." —Xuanzheng

Both of two immortals crossed swords against each other. Seemingly like an endless fight is still brewing against them. The old man with his sword and the man with burning eyes aimed towards a heated fight.

"You are a fool to give the aromatic heart arrow root to Gu Xiniang! Insolent fool, you don't know how the aromatic heart arrowroot will react once she absorbs it inside her body!" —Elder Fang

"The heart of Ji Mei already called to it's owner and I know, Xiniang is worth it to receive such ancestral divine weapon inside her body!" —Liufang Asuro

"You are an IDIOT! She is a mortal! She will not last the night once she absorbs the root! If she fails to absorb it within the next 7 days, she will die along with her primal spirit and cannot reincarnate back into this world!" —Elder Fang

Asuro was struck with fear. He had never felt fear this way before. Xiniang will be gone from his life and the risk that he put her into might be the reason that he can only see her for the last time in this lifetime and no more in the upcoming ones.

Elder Fang's sword swayed like the petals of lotus blown by the wind as it was coming towards Asuro.

Asuro managed to evade the attack quickly but the tip of the blade scratched the side of his rib.

"Did you really think that I will let you live after this insolence?" —Elder Fang

"Xiniang is a strong person. I have faith in her. If I must die here trying to fight you, then it is the greatest honor I can offer her." —Liufang Asuro

Jiang CuiYi awakened from her sleep and found herself chained on a chair. Her hands are rendered immobile and cannot move her own body too.

Wan Miansu stepped in front of her and revealed herself from the shadows.

"Oh, did you already miss me?"—Miansu

"Let me go, you scheming witch! You betrayed me by putting snake poison inside my body to do your bidding!" —Cuiyi

"I did that for a great purpose. Incase you meet the twins of Jiutian Xuanwu, I need a guarantee that you will not turn against me."—Miansu

"What do you mean, will turn against you? I am your most loyal servant eversince you gave me the power to corrupt Emei's sacred treasure!"—Cuiyi

"Let's see about that." —Miansu

An evil smile rolled up the side of her mouth. She indeed had an evil plan again.

*Snap

With a snap of her fingers, the chains that binded Jiang Cuiyi came off instantly.

"What you're going to do is go to Xuanwu's fort in Wenxi city on the kingdom of the jade phoenix. There, you must pretend to be helpless and you should not tell anyone your real identity. But, there is only one thing that I need you to do... Kill the bearer of the aromatic heart arrowroot."—Miansu

"Buy if they find out about me?" —Cuiyi

Miansu was abit angry and disappointed about her question and held the tip of her finger on Cuiyi's jaw.

"Tell me, Cuiyi... Will they discover who you are?"—Miansu
