Jiang Cui Yi, the infamous Quarter Master of Emei smiled as she received her distinguished guest. Apparently, after she had been kicked out of Emei, she gathered the degenerates and founded a sect of her own.
"Jiang Cui Yi, Grandmaster of Plymouth Snake Sect proudly receives high immortal."
Cui Yi dropped on the floor and bowed her head yet the guest gestured with her hand and spoke softly…
"Cui Yi, let us not waste our time on the formalities."
Cui Yi slowly raised her head and felt an extreme pressure pulling down her body below. Even with just the sight of the guest, she could not properly stand up or hold her posture.
'This divine prowess… She is truly a high immortal.'

Gu XiNiang led Asuro inside the carriage surrounded by her veiled disciples. After their quarrel inside the Jade Phoenix's Palace, Wei Yue resolved the situation by making them both work together. XiNiang agreed and she gave Asuro two conditions.
One, she will take Asuro to the Shifting Flower Sect to interrogate with the scoundrel, Mo QiuAn in exchange of teaching her to cultivate using The Secret Nether Record. Second, she will partake in purifying Emei's treasure and in return, Asuro will forge a treasure for Shifting Flower Sect.
Asuro determined these conditions to be fair and just and as they all came into conclusion, Asuro agreed with her.
From the Jade Phoenix's Kingdom, crossing the border on Pao Lei Valley would just be a day ride on horseback or 1 and half day in carriage.
Nightfall came and XiNiang's disciple were already exhausted. She sensed their tiredness and asked all of them to camp for the night.
"Let's camp for the night. All of you settle your tents. I'll be on first watch." XiNiang leaned on the ground as she took some bundle of sticks from the nearby outskirts of the valley and stroke two stones using her hand.
Asuro went outside the carriage and roamed around until she saw XiNiang struggling on starting a fire. Her hands were full of little wounds due to the stones that she rubbed for a long time. He approached her and raised an eyebrow.
"Why not just conjure a fire using your internal skill?"
"Easy for you to say, we do not practice fire magic."
"Stop what you're doing. You're going to hurt yourself more."
Asuro told her to step back and she let go of the stones. Using Asuro's divine prowess, he effortlessly ignited the bundle of sticks into a bonfire. XiNiang wasn't thoroughly impressed and rolled her eyes as she moved away from the bonfire.
'This guy is getting on my nerves. I better find an antidote for my hands or else it'll get infe—'
Asuro saw her injured hands and could not bear to see the careless fool suffering. He then moved few steps closer and grabbed her hands.
"W—What are you doing?!"
"Your hands. Stay still. I'm going to heal you."
"Y—You!"
Drawing symbols on her palms, the wounds were instantly removed. Normally, XiNiang would thank people that wanted to help but this… This made her more annoyed than usual.
"I can take care of myself. Even though we do not specialize in fire magic, we can still heal ourselves."
"You could've said so. Go get the stones, let's wound your hands again."
"Tsk! You dare antagonize me, Sixth Shura?!"
"I'm kidding. Sorry, I'll go to sleep now."
"YOU BETTER BE! OR I'LL CUT YOU INTO SMALL PIECES AND FEED YOU TO THE WOLVES!"
"Heh."
Asuro then went back inside the carriage and rested there while XiNiang was let beside the bonfire absent-mindedly. The disciples looked at her while whispering on each other. She caught them and her blood boiled once again.
"Instead of whispering, why can't you all be more useful?! You all stay awake all night, I'll be sleeping in the tent."
The night passed by and turned into morning. When the first light glinted across the horizon, XiNiang and her disciples set off once again until by noon, they all had arrived at the Shifting Flower Sect's Entrance.
Asuro's eyes gleamed as he saw the outer palace up until the inner interior of the sect. The view was exhilarating. There were lots of differently colored trees, flowers and also disciples practicing martial arts and cultivating their internal and martial skills.
All of these things reminded Asuro of Emei that he loved and treasured the most. He was indeed the founder of Emei but yet all of these things were like a fleeting dream until he was…
Wounded…
Scarred…
and Exiled…
His mind was up in some cloud until the carriage stopped at the innermost part of the palace. XiNiang then fetched him and led him inside.
The disciples made them a banquet. There were no other guests except only Asuro and XiNiang. After some brief moment, Asuro and XiNiang were left alone in the banquet. Reaching secretly inside her sleeves, XiNiang prepared her hidden weapon ready for anything that will happen if Asuro ever berserks. Clearing her throat, she then had began speaking to him.
"So, what does Mo QiuAn have to do about you being exiled to the dark realm?"
"Everything."
"What do you mean about everything?"
"To the point where I saw my sect's treasure being tainted with that horrid aura, she had everything to do about it."
"The Emei's treasure is Goddess Cao Cao's Heavenly sword is it? And Mo QiuAn is a degenerate disciple of Emei. With her power and her being an Emei disciple once, she knows how to corrupt the treasure."
"No. The heavenly sword isn't some kind of common treasure. It belonged to the seven treasures of the ninth heaven. Among the rank of the seven treasures, the heavenly sword comes on third so it's not possible for a mere mortal to taint it with such dark magic."
"I—Impossible. I've seen what Mo QiuAn can be capable of. With my own eyes, I saw that she conjured the dark magic on the sword itself. Unless… The heavenly sword is a fake one… It's…"
Asuro's blood boiled upwards and he slammed both of his hands in the table.
"The heavenly sword could not be copied nor having a fake one is impossible. I had sensed the aura of the treasure. Although it was faint, it was authentic."
XiNiang saw sincerity in Asuro's eyes. He was willing to do anything just to save his treasure. Releasing an exasperated breath, XiNiang withdrew her hand from her sleeves and kept the hidden weapon at bay.
"You are willing to save your sect's weapon so much even though there's only a small chance of saving it?"
"Yes. I am willing. The heavenly sword is the lifeline of Emei. I do not care how little is the chance of saving it. I'll die trying to save it. Even if I give my life for it."
Hearing Asuro's explanations, XiNiang's eyes grew wide. She never saw an immortal so eager to save a heavenly treasure just for the humans to take advantage on.
'This is immortal is foolish but even so, he's selfless and devoted to what he do.'
Sipping a cup of water, XiNiang swallowed the liquid on her throat like how she wanted to swallow her words, anger and pride and finally spoke…
"I'll take you to the dungeon and see QiuAn… In return, you must help me cultivate the Nether Secret Record."
"Immortals do not break their promises."
XiNiang stood up from her seat and gestured at Asuro.
"Follow me."
Asuro nodded and followed her on the plum blossom-filled path. They both walked a bit far until they had reached the entrance of the repentance tomb.
"I'll be right here. You go alone inside."
"Enn."
Walking inside the tomb, Asuro felt the darkness almost swallowing his wholeness when he had caught a a glimpse of a faint light. He followed the faint light until he was faced to faced with a woman inside a large cell with both of her hands chained unto a wall. Although she was chained, the chains were long enough for her to walk around the cell freely. Also, her clothes weren't scathed for a day or like, her clothes were changed everyday by the outer disciples.
QiuAn's mouth curved into a smile seeing Asuro approach her from the shadows outside her cell.
"So many days that I have no visitors and now… Here you are. I do not know you but you are here to ask a thing from me presumably?"
"Yes but I won't be long so you better get straightforward with me, Mo QiuAn."
"Hah. Why should I get straightforward with someone lowly and pitiful like you?! I only get serious if you dare to be powerful than me—"
Rage filled Asuro's countenance making him leak some powerful aura from his body. The divine prowess sent an impact so strong that Gu XiNiang that was busy cultivating her internal meridian was disturbed by it.
XiNiang already assumed what would happen and immediately went inside the tomb. She expected that Asuro would kill QiuAn right now but her expectations were broken as she saw Asuro standing in front of QiuAn.
"E— How… H—How…"
"Tell me… Who made you taint Emei's treasure?!"
"T—Treasure? How would I— know…"
"Don't you dare speak lies to me woman! Tell me… Who commanded you to molest my sect's treasure?"
"It's… It's…"
"SPEAK!"
"Emei's Quartermaster, Jiang Cui Yi! P—Please spare my life…"
"W—WHY!? WHY WOULD SHE DO SUCH A THING?!"
"B—Because someone told us that she'd help us learn a forbidden technique called Rain of Thousand Toadstools."
Upon hearing QiuAn's words, Asuro shook his head. He withdrew his divine prowess and turned his back on Mo QiuAn.
"Immortal… Immortal… Please may I know your name…"
QiuAn scrambled and wanted to grab Asuro's sleeve but her hands were restricted by the chains.
Asuro paused and spoke softly.
"LiuFang Asuro, founder of the sect that you had betrayed."
QiuAn's legs felt powerless. She got on her knees and performed a kowtow.
"This disciple has tainted the school's treasure. Please forgive me, founder immortal."
It was too late. Even if Mo QiuAn cried a river, Asuro already made up his mind. He dares not forgive the traitors that disgraced Emei's valuable treasure. Asuro tapped XiNiang by the arm and afterwards went outside the tomb.
He rested underneath a nearby plum tree and looked up at the clear blue sky.
'Rain of Thousand Toadstools. This technique sounds familiar to me…'
