Chapter 109: SPADE's BACK
Wednesday.
I got so busy signing papers and I almost skipped my lunch because of an urgent meeting kanina with some of the stockholders and BODs. The meeting was about the sudden drop of market value of our company's shares because of what happened yesterday. One of our malls has been turned into ashes due to fire causing a great loss to our company.
Buti na lang at andoon si Nathan sharing his ideas on how the company can recover its loss in a short period of time.
Honestly, I'm so impressed with him.
Dad was really true on what he said to me...
Nathan is truly an asset of the company.
Because of it, I changed my mind na paalisin siya dito lalo na nung malaman ko ang nangyari sa kanya in the past.
(I sighed)
I really got exhausted talaga kaya ipinikit ko saglit ang aking mga mata to relax. Now, naiintindihan ko na why dad can't really go home noon lalo na kapag may company problems. Hindi pala talaga ganon kadali ang maging President ng company.
(Then suddenly, someone knocked on the door. )
"come in!" without opening my eyes.
Maybe its just my secretary asking me if I needed something.
"do you want some coffee?" napatingin ako bigla kasi si Nathan pala ang pumasok.
"pwede mo namang utusan ang secretary ko na dalhin ito dito" I said habang pinagmamasdan siyang inilalapag ang cup of coffee sa table ko.
"well, its a thank you kanina for supporting me sa meeting" then he smiled.
"You're just doing great, that's why I did it" then I sip the coffee. Tama lang naman ang timpla.
"wow! its an honor to hear it from you Miss President" him being happy.
I'm about to speak na sana when his phone suddenly rang.
"ah..sorry, excuse me muna" then pumunta siya sa may couch at sinagot ang call.
"hello!...okay?..in the office.....yes...tomorrow is the sched? really?....oh....right....I'll be there....thanks" then he hang up the phone at lumapit ulit siya sa akin.
Out of curiosity, tinanong ko siya about sa pinagkakaabalahan niya sa buhay since I don't know anything from him simula nang pumunta ako sa England.
"other business matters aside from company?" me.
"parang ganon na nga, kinukuha kasi ako minsan as a model sa isang magazine, lalo na kapag wala ang real model nila" him.
"okay, not bad. At least, you're like a celebrity now" me.
Napangiti ulit siya because of what I said.
"maybe that's why many girls are being linked to me, because I am more like a celebrity. But believe me, I'm just being friendly kaya sometimes sinasamahan ko lang sila but.... I'm not really dating them. Masyado lang talagang active ang mga paparazzi ngayon kaya lahat ng news na nababasa mo ay hindi totoo"
Being defensive huh. Bigla na lang kasi siyang nag-open up about doon, eh hindi ko naman siya tinatanong.
"okay? then why are you telling that to me all of a sudden?" I said.
"w_well, its just because of yesterday di ba? you got mad at me because of it. Saka, I just wanted to say sorry for making you cry back then" he said sincerely.
"okay, fine. Mapapalampas ko ang lahat ng iyon basta maipapangako mong everything you said was true"
"of course, everything I said was true. Lahat ng balitang kumakalat ay hindi totoo" him confidently.
"really? as in lahat?"
Assuring him. He's generalizing na rin kasi eh.
"y_yes, everything" he said.
"kahit ang pagiging womanizer mo? Remember, We're just talking about dating rumors." I said.
Bigla siyang napatigil at napaisip.
Di ba, tama ako? He's really a philanderer kaya hindi niya iyon idedeny.
"w_well, that's another story. And besides, men are known to be like that so I won't deny"
Shocks! He's proud pa talaga about it. Ibang-iba na talaga siya sa dating Nathan na nakilala ko. tsk.tsk.tsk.
Tinaasan ko na lang siya ng kilay because of what he said.
"mabuti na ang maging honest noh. Sige na, I'll go back to my office kasi pinagtitinginan na rin tayo ng mga employees mo. Baka kasi ano pang isipin nila't may marinig na naman akong fake news" the he stood up na.
"and don't stress yourself too much Miss President, fighting!" then he winked at me.
Tss. He's really a flirt.

Tiningnan ko ang wristwatch ko to check the time.
Its 4:30 na pala. Maybe, I need to go home early today para makapagrest na rin, so bumaba na ako na ako ng company building.
Nasa main exit na ako this time when....
"Kumusta mahal ko! Missed me?"
I saw Spade na may hawak pang bouquet of flowers. He's wearing his sunglasses making him look cool. Wala namang masyadong nagbago sa kanya ngayon, he's still handsome and a head turner man.
"I just thought na next week ka pa pupunta dito?" me then lumapit ako sa kanya ang hugged him.
"I just said it because I wanted to surprise you. Hindi mo ba ako namiss?" him tapos he gently pinched my cheeks.
"of course I do" tapos kinuha ko yung bouquet sa kanya.
"like it?" him while smiling.
"yes, thanks" me.
"its my pleasure my princess" tapos he hugged me again.
He's really a sweet guy. Mahilig talaga siya sa surprises and paefforts, that's why..hindi ako nagsisising magustuhan siya.
"so..saan tayo?" him then pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto ng car niya.
"I missed Fantastic Podium, doon na lang" I said.
"okay! let's go!" he said.
So pumasok na ako ng sasakyan niya, while waiting for him na pumasok din. Nagkataon namang andoon na rin sa main exit si Nathan.
Nakita niya ako so he waved at me.
Napalingon tuloy sa direction niya si Spade when he got into his car.
"Is that....Nathan?" him
