(Alexandria's POV)
Silence.
There was an eerie silence throughout the meadow once Edythe finished talking.
Still holding my hand with her own Edythe looked at me waiting for my answer, still with that stone face look on her face, not that it hid any of her nervousness I could see in her eyes.
Finally, after a minute of silence, while Edythe was starting to get relentless and her stone-faced look seemed like it would break any second I decided to speak
"Well I wasn't expecting that" I admit
I didn't know what to say honestly.
This was all new to me, sure I had hookups here and there in the past, but it was never something emotional.
My job required me to not have any attachments.
I never really had anyone confess to me or ask me on a date.
Sure I got asked by men and women alike on a date in bars and the like, but you always knew they only asked for ultimately the hookup that comes after the date.
I'll do admit however that I'm starting to like Edythe more and more as the days go by.
I don't love her obviously, but I do like her.
At first, when I met her I thought she would be like she was in the books, or acted like Edward did with Bella.
But thankfully that didn't happen.
She didn't brood 24/7 like Edward did.
She didn't follow me like a stalker throughout the day
She wasn't a creep enough to watch me sleep without my consent.
She didn't creep into my room at night.
Fucking hell Edward....you're one creepy motherfucker.
Sure I noticed how she has a laser-eyed focus towards me, but honestly, that's tame compared to what a certain someone did.
'Plus it's just a date, not like she's asking me to be her girlfriend.' I thought logically
I looked at Edythe, who looked honest to god scared. Blinking at her, she looked like she was about to say something before I beat her to the punch and spoke.
"Sure"

HOLY SHIT SHE SAID YES.
I was about to apologize for asking her after she didn't answer after a solid minute.
Thank god I didn't otherwise I would have ruined everything.
I looked at my beautiful mate, and before I knew it I was hugging her.
Thankfully I had enough rationale to not hug her too hard, otherwise, I could have broken her spine.
Still not registering what I just did I spoke up and said from my place next to the crook of her neck.
"Okay! Let's go now!"
Hugging me back(which finally made me notice our position) Alexandria giggled and then spoke.
"Woah there, tiger! Slow down there, we have all the time in the world, we don't need to go now, besides don't you want to plan our date first? I'm not easy to woo."
Still hugging her(I'm not gonna separate from this position if I could help it) I breathed deeply from my nose and said.
"I know, but I can't help it okay? I have been wanting to ask you on a date from the moment I saw you, and I guess I'm a little impatient. But you're right" I admitted.
Alexandria held me closer a little, before separating us from our position, but not before placing a kiss on my cheek.
....I think I got revived a little from that kiss
"It's okay, this is actually really flattering, plus I have never been asked on a date before so I guess you're my first, so you should really make it special" She said smirking at me.
I didn't notice the double entendre in her voice, all I could compute right now is that she was never on a date before...
That means she was never in any relationship, which meant that she was never kissed or touched before.
Which meant I could be her first in everything.
Sure she could have kissed or had sex with someone else without being in a relationship, but the odds of that happening is basically zero since she came from Kansas.
How did I know that she came from Kansas you ask?
That's for me to know and for you to wonder.
But the odds were in my favor, which meant I didn't have to kill anyone who touched my mate.
I went to speak again to ask when I should pick her up tomorrow before my HTC Wizard(my phone) started to make noises akin to the noises a tv would make when it's dead, or on a channel that isn't there.
The crunching noises irritated my ears almost immediately since my ears were very sensitive to loud noise.
Not to mention it also irritated me personally since it interrupted my time with my mate.
Taking out my phone I was about to turn it off, not caring enough about why it was making that sound. Since even if it was broken I could've always buy a new one.
However even after I tried to turn my phone off it wouldn't just turn off.
"What the heck?" I voiced out and looked at Alexandria in confusion.
However, instead of looking confused like I was. Alexandria was frowning, and looked resigned?
I was just about to chuck my phone towards the nearby lake and be done with it,but before I could do that. A voice started to come out of my phone, and the screen turned white and started glitching showing multiple words in different languages.
The voice started to make more and more sense as the time went, with the words on the screen(at least the ones I could understand) also started to make sense.
Still irritated I was about to finally chuck it towards the nearby lake before Alexandria took my phone away from my hands.

The voice kept repeating on and repeating each time sounding more and more clearer
At this point, I had reached the peak of confusion.
I was about to ask Alexandria what was going on since she seemed to know something before the voice started again.
"You are not alone... My name is General Zod. I come from a world far from yours. I have journeyed across an ocean of stars to reach you. For some time, your world has sheltered one of my citizens. I request that you return this individual to my custody.
For reasons unknown, she has chosen to keep his existence a secret from you. She will have made efforts to blend in. She will look like you, but She is not one of you.
To those of you who may know of her current location: the fate of your planet rests in your hands. To Alexan-El, I say this: surrender within 24 hours, or watch this world suffer the consequences."
The voice now named Zod said sounding clear as day while glitching at some parts, before my phone started giving off sparks, and exploding. Thankfully Alexandria chucked the phone away before it could've exploded in her hands.
I looked at Alexandria waiting for some kinda explanation on what the fuck just happened.
But all she did was look away from me and say.
"Ahh shit."
